Even if Minecraft is popular, Steve is not some kind of important character in this game it's literally a name of default skin for playable character, it won't change anything if he was just called default skin. And of course almost all people just replace a default skin with anything else.

Even if we assume Nintendo will even want to put a Minecraft in super smash Bros (what has a small chance because of all OTHER OPTIONS Nintendo has) they won't just put Steve but they will more likely make "Minecraft guy" and add to it skin editor, so people can make own skins (like in original Minecraft)
