the first assassins creed when you have everything but then lose it right after, instantly made the game boring for me

Minecraft

Super Mario Bros 3

based

This ones ok
youtube.com/watch?v=iC0KIrKIEYM

sonic adventure 2

Nier Automata
shame about the rest of the game

Not exactly an intro, but for me, Jump Up Superstar promised far more than Mario Odyssey could ever deliver.

Asura’s Kino

DS3. Tosses a boss at your straight out the gate that first timers can't handle and series veterans will bully mercilessly

Megaman X

Shenmue
youtu.be/MvCO-VEbqpw

Animal Crossing: Wild World if you go in with no idea what to expect and knowing absolutely nothing beforehand.

X3 had the best intro

How in the hell has no one said Metal Gear Rising yet?

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Squeak Squad or Planet Robobot.

Because the ending is what everyone remembers

the intro was good enough to turn the song into a meme

Unironically, Mass Effect 2.

Persona 5s was pretty kino. Seeing the battle UI for the first time was great

Saint's row 2

What the fuck? that intro is on the same tier as ME3's ending

KH1

Fallout 4 everything goes to shit after killing Kellog

Indigo Prophecy. The diner intro was pretty great. Trying to cover up a murder, then switch over to the detectives trying to solve the murder you just committed was intriguing as hell. Then it just turned into a nonstop trainwreck from there.

You have shit taste.

Watching your crew and ship from the first game get torn apart and then falling down to earth and dying was an amazing intro.

Nice. Glad to see someone appreciate some Davidkino on Yea Forums for once.

Xenoblade

Probably the largest decline in quality from start to finish in vidya history

Dragon Age Origins.

Don’t get mistaken, he’s praising the first 20 minutes or so. Rest of the game is dogshit

Unless you played a character that isnt a Dwarf

ff7

sonic adventure 2. i remember the first time i played city escape, i was thinking "goddamn, this is fun"

Saint's Row 4

Even so.
Quantity is a quality all its own.

ff7
>close up of aerith walking out of a dark alley in midgar
>zooms out to reveal the entire city
>title reveal
>zooms into another part of the city to a train where members of avalanche disembark to begin their mission
>seamless transition into gameplay
>all in one shot
>with perfectly timed music

>Simple and clean
>Choose your weapon
>Darkside
>Peak kairi
>Island life
>Storm
>Night of fate, aka dun dudududahdun
>Keyblade....keyblade....
It was pretty good overall

Unironically fallout 4 and destiny 2

Onimusha 3

Spiderman PS4

>fallout 4

just shapes and beats youtube.com/watch?v=H9NRPyGRo5g

Kingdom Hearts 2's was better

Halflife or Zelda 1

quit being a contrarian faggot

terranigma first half hour is fucking amazing atmosphere

This. A fucking epic war between soldiers and robots. Then you suddenly go to some random city where you play a guy who basically follows future vision.

Nuh uh!

Fallout 3's beginning is terrific and makes me sad the rest of the game's story is so awful

Also after heavy rain, all his game are pretentous dogshit.

Lost Odyssey.

I can't belive someone can be so much wrong in a single sentence.

>get to control cool war legend for ten minutes
>find out he’s lost use of his arm and probably can’t fight anymore
>comes back to the party anyways
fucking amazing

Halo Wars.
Godamn those cgi cutscenes were fucking beautiful.

Kingdom hearts 1,2 and chain of memories.

>cutscene with a metric shit-ton of enemies on screen seamlessly transitions into gameplay

I guess it's sort of taken for granted but I remember the massive amounts of rage for the bait and switch of MGS2.

intro to MGS2 was the most kino thing ever.

Dawn of War 1 has the greatest intro.

Cage is a total hack, but I can't stop playing his games. It's like I'm trapped in an abusive relationship. I still haven't played Detroit yet, though.

Mass Effect

Destiny 2 was a seriously disappointing ending for that giant fleet coming to completely destroy the savior.

The first 30 minutes of Metal Gear Solid 2 is pure masterpiece, 10 out of 10.

last of us

It's crazy how it still looks good to this day. I remember stepping into an Electronics Boutique when the demo for this came out and saw someone playing it. It blew me away. Going from the rough polygons of 5th gen consoles to this was incredible. Fuck, I should replay it. It's been a while.

This. KH2's intro is probably the only decently written bit of story the series has, desu.

Fucking incredible beginning. Easily the best i've ever witnessed and perfectly setup the game.

youtube.com/watch?v=Z0d0DbAFZ7M

1 and CoM were both good until they got retconned

>Game gives you everything at the start
>Proceeds to take it all away after

Bioshock Infinite was trash, but the first 10 minutes, right up to the "choice" to throw the ball was a fantastic opening.

Metroid Prime
Saints Row 2 or 3, cant remember
