We can infer that the protagonist is going through hard times by the degradation of his room, but why were the police outside in the third scene with the body in the room? Why didn't they just break into the house? How was he able to chainsaw someone apart without the neighbors calling the police again? Why was someone crying outside of his front door in the fourth scene? Was that supposed to be a room that he locked victims in or something? Why was there no screaming when he was chainsawing something in the fifth scene?

SOMA is the best horror game that I have ever played, one of the few good ones. It instills a sense of existential dread while you play it, especially if you're someone like me who thinks about mortality a lot.

Nothing is explained, that's usually a plus as the game isn't holding your hand, but when you've been barely hanging in there for so long and the game suddenly tells you you've died of, for example, an infection with no explanation of how or how to prevent that, it kinda kills the motivation.

AoM you spend most of your time struggling to figure out what to do next and my immersion is ruined by the fact that it's just reskinned Half-Life enemies.

The only flaw of Cry of Fear is the 4th chapter, everything else is wonderful.
