Like it or not Miis are Nintendo characters now more than ever. I thought they were okay and nothing more up until I played Tomodachi Life. That game gave them so much personality that I can't help but see it oozing out of them in other games.
Seriously, if you don't like Miis then at least rent or watch Tomodachi Life. You owe it to yourself if you can't stand them.

It's hit or miss. Mostly miss. Look into the stage builder threads sometime. Some artists draw porn, but the stages themselves aren't normally fun to play on. Also, yes. People really do jerk it to them. Some of them are extremely desperate for screenshots and webms.

Sorry I couldn't find anything better. Skip to 5:40 for one of the better examples. There are just all of these quirky things that your characters will do. They can rap battle, gossip, or just about any other stupid thing you can think of. The game is all about random silly humor. It made me become invested in my Miis. Tracking everything they do and seeing what they have to say to others can be genuinely funny.
The games biggest downfall is its repetitive nature, though. If it gets a switch sequel it will need way more content.
