Let's face it: If this game had a "Directed By Hideo Kojima" stamp you would buy it and rate 10/10
The thing is this game has more gameplay and probably better story than Death Stranding. And using 10% of Kojima's budget

everything i've seen of the games actual mechanics have been clunky and buggy as fuck. i really don't think that's the case.
Sadly no, they couldn't afford to put the money into this game to make it any good because it didn't have a name as bankable as Kojima's attached to it.
It's sad to me that Yoji Shinkawa probably finished work on Death Stranding in like 4 months but he's unable to make his own stuff out from under Kojima.
Whatr exactly is wrong with that game? Never played it, so I'm curious.
>i trust doctored day 1 webms from Yea Forums
True. Kojimadrones are blind.
have you seen the game
i doubt you have
Don't be ridiculous. This game looked like a mess and was then proven to be a mess when it came out.
Imagine a urban based MGS5 but with 5% of the budget and QA that would make even Todd Howard reconsider releasing it in that state.
I got this game for free. It was mediocre as fuck and barely had any mech gameplay
That... Sounds horrible.
It's a janky B-movie.
didn't Square Enix literally recall this game and issue some kind of game journo blackout to keep people from even talking about it
It would also have gameplay not from 1998 if Kojima made it.
Nah that was SEGA and Judgement
Everything is underbaked. Stealth is almost non-functional, as you're supposed to stay out of invisible cone sights but enemies can just spot you through walls or somehow not see you at all. There are not stealth kills, so your best bet is to slide-tackle and groundpound everyone. Guns require multiple headshots to kill enemies, and are garbage. Melee weapons can break. The game wants you to save people, but unless you implausibly clear out areas ahead of time, they'll march straight into enemy paths and die. You can destroy tanks with a metal pipe. So on and so on.
To actually get the good ending, you have to play this linear as hell game multiple times over on NG+ leveling your various skills so you can actually save people and survive more efficiently, because on a first run your abilities and supplies are so gimped that you can't fight worth a damn at all. And surprise, there's forced combat sections.
Also CAUTION, THE ENEMY IS APPROACHING
Game had good ideas, done extremely wrong gameplaywise.
Storywise is was actually pretty damn good.
I haven't played it since it was patched but it was hard as balls on even the easiest difficulty. I still want to do an all-survivors run eventually when my backlog thins out.
i meant like actual gameplay videos and reviews.
Game may had a shit gameplay but it had a damn good waifu between pic related and the playable policemen.
They patched the game to prevent people from streaming it.
This is what i fucking despite about the game, i fucking loved the story and characters, the graphics also were fine, but the gameplay was just good ideas done in the worst way possible. one good thing about the game i can say is that the design of "big open missions" should be used for the next MG, everything else is broken. the pc port also is horrible.
i did the bad and good ending, but fuck the shit that hurt me more is to see it had some potential.
Damn. Thanks for the reply, user. Now I actually want to see how bad it is.
I assume the spoiler part is a sentence you hear quite often in this game (via headphones or something else)?
From what i remember, this was just an error and was fixed soon after release.
i dunno man i enjoyed it
You have a not-iDroid that serves for map, inventory and situation updates. It will say that phrase every time enemies are around, repeatedly, without fail.
Nope, the game was streamable on release and then a patch blcked all streaming and is still in effect.
Woudn't even surprised me if the game is removed from online stores at one point.
I'm almost impressed by how quickly this piece of shit was forgotten about. I don't think I've seen a single post about it since the week after it came out.
There were threads here or there, mostly ironic ones or laughing at how bad the game was with the occasional poster lamenting that this is the hill Front Mission dies on.
Are we looking at the only hardcore Left Alive fan that is asshurt that everyone forgot about it and are hyped for Death Stranding?
