It doesn't work that way

it does now

Idk, I thought it was alright. I missed the gritty New York Noir vibes, but overall, 3 was good fun. Waking up in a dirty favela was really immersive.

I've been meaning to replay that with skip cutscenes mod
gameplay's more cover based than MP2 with it speeding up max's movement with each kill, but still pretty good

It's one of the shittiest game of all time, pretentious rockstar garbage

it's one of the worst designed games of all time

That game is great though. Best Payne game gameplay wise.
>using cover

Legit one of the best Third-Person Shooters ever made from a gameplay perspective.

what gameplay?
nah, it's dogshit

I don't hate it, but didn't get the Max Payne vibe, specially with all those " A la suicide squad" textboxes, you could swap names and call it favelas wars and would be the same. I loved 1 and 2 tho.

>Best Payne game gameplay wise
It's way too easy. All the guns are 100% accurate so if you have decent aim the game is dull as fuck because all you have to do is aim for the head and click. The enemies barely move around too so aiming is even easier.

I wish it was a spin-off. 3 was basically a fucking cover shooter. As much as I can related being an alcoholic, un-skipable cutscenes are a cardinal sin.

Then again, 2 is my favorite entry so what the fuck do I know? 3's multiplayer was god-tier though.

To think TS would have fit right in with the mid to late 2000s generic shooter aesthetic.

Hey old timer, if I want to get into the C&C games for the story missions, is Red Alert of the Tiberian series better to play first?

>you'll never be this much of a contrarian hack

all they had to do was stick with the pretty awesome looking games they had previously been developing. but no they scrapped them and made this. i guess there's some kind of lesson in it.

Red Alert 1 and 2 have better missions than the Tiberium games in the same engine respectively. However, I'd probably play them in release order because at times it's really noticeable how much more experience the mission designers have. The campaigns in the 2D tiberian cycle feel even more bare bones after playing RA.

I have no idea how that studio managed to have Opposing Forces turn out so well compared to every other game they've made.

Thanks.

It wasn't that bad. I didn't even cry.

hey Brothers In Arms was tight as fuck

Textboxes were already in the originals

Max Payne 3 was great. Fuck you.

>using cover in Max Payne 3
Did you play on console or some shit?

I had forgotten about that one, sorry. Gearbox brings OF and then shit like Borderlands or NuDuke to my mind.

It was fun and intense when I turned off Bullet time and was shootdodging without slo-mo, ballistics and body physics redeem this game already just get Scripthook Mod for it and spawn the guns you want any time on any level.

i dont blame you honestly
sometimes i wonder if Borderlands was the point of no return for the studio
speaking of BOF, in an alternate timeline this game would have been posted

I was kinda sick of WW2 shooters after the first 2(?) MoH titles and Call of Duty so I skipped the whole BiA series. I didn't even know the one you linked to existed. I was happier like that, you know?

no, fuck you rockshill

>the best third person shooter of last gen

Max Payne 3 is fantastic and I don't know if there's an action game quite like it. I know there's a lot of cutscenes but at least the cutscenes blend right into the gameplay. Saying that, it does feel like there's not a lot of room to flip around in some levels so it does pretty much become a cover shooter sometimes, which doesn't make sense because Max Payne's whole gimmick is to flip around

I never did, but the design is there.

Not a bad game at all

How the hell do they blend in? You open a door and think your computer froze up, cat yanked your mouse out, and you're ready to hulk smash your monitor by the time you realize it's just the piece of shit game telling you it's his turn, again, since you already played for fifteen fucking seconds in a row. I had to pace myself playing through that turd so I didn't end up damaging some hardware. Only other game I've touched that was as infuriating was bioshock infinite, did the same shit all the fucking time.

that's not Metal Slug 6
or Heroes of MM 4/6

Shit game

fpbp

What do you mean? It's pretty clear when it's time to play. Max will usually run into cover or time will slow down. Even when it doesn't it's not you can't tell the difference between the game and a cutscene

Metal Slug 4 is the worst one. I rarely played such a forgettable game.
