What do you think? It came out of nowhere

bump

fuck off shill

>It came out of nowhere
I've been aware of it for at least 6 months
haven't played it yet, could be good, could be shit

Looks like shit desu

Looks like XIII meets SS2 graphically. I don't even know what the game is about.

waiting for the torrent to go live. I pirated Ultima Underworld after Razorfist kept shilling it and it was a pile of shit. looked like a fucking intern made the UI and character models.

>torrent
I just downloaded it from cs.rin.ru

based. thank you m8

>roguelite
Fuck off

It's fun.

Something wrong with your brain.

I played for about 1 hour and it looks very promising. Not a fan of rogue-lites or rogue-likes or whatever the fuck they're called today, but I'm looking forward to playing more of it.

Also, unless there's more people in the team I'm not aware of, Jonathan Chey had nothing to do with Ultima Underworld and is "only" credited as additional programmer in Thief 1/2.

I got the scene relase by plaza with the shit rar'd up like scene kiddies usually do

So far it seem fun.
Of course, with this kind of game it's all about whether it's fun playing through it again for the 6th+ time, and that's too early to tell.

I've played a solid amount of it, it's actually pretty concise and fun. I'm not sure how much content there is, and seeing the achievements i fear there's not a lot, but it's pretty cheap.

The visual style is great, expecially the enemy animations.

it's kind of like FTL, you have the jumps and resorce management, but all wrapped in bioshock-like gameplay.
My only complaint is afuckhuge weapon model, and changing FOV does not affect it.

try before you buy, nigger

I just read it from their website and listed that Dorian Hart worked on UU2

It's kinda crazy how good this game looks despite that the guns and the enemies are sprite-based like in fucking doom. It's also runs really good for a unity game.

How does it work when I’m FTL, you can stop time and move characters. Is it done in FP instead?

I think he meant the random generated aspect and the way it's structure, rather than the gameplay

I was meaning thee whole sector jumping mechanic. You can select where you want to jump and then decide if you want to to dock to the ship after assessing the danger/treasures.

>janitor
does he work for free?

Reminds me a lot to Heat Signature and Rogue Legacy as well

Nice recommendation, it’s been fun so far. I love the planning aspect to exploring ships and the different ways you can deal with a shit situation.

Oh cool, I didn't know that.

The map where you jump from ship to ship is like FTL, but once you dock, it plays similar to SS2. It's first person, but not a traditional FPS.

So far the only problems I have with it is the inability to lean, which feels pretty important for a game like this, and how janky the jumping is. Just trying to go over a table or vaulting over a broken window is absurdly imprecise.

It’s also very similar to cryptark.

>cryptark
Is that a game that has Jerma in it?

> post modern
> roguelite

pls can this stop. I get the need to cut the budget down, but just give me a story and actual level design.

it can be a 3hr game, but add some varied paths/classes/difficulties and im fine.

every fucking game today, even indies try for some "infinite replay value!" shit, which just means boring shite for hours and hours, which is for multiplayer really, lets be honest

Now that i think of it, it's also a lot like Hand of Fate, except you don't do any choices, but it's the same kind of overworld decisions into loading action levels.

now if only tourist blast radius was the same as the visual effect.

>expecially
Why the fuck are so many Americans incapable of pronouncing es-pecially or et-cetera, to the point that they no longer remember how it is actually spelled.

>muh grammar
Blow it out your ass.

I was kind of disappointed finding out it was a roguelite of sorts but I have to say, this is probably the one genre that has worked the best with the formula for me. Maybe I shouldn't have been dismissive of Prey's DLC either.

Ye, he did the voice acting for one of the crew members I think.

Nobody mentioned Americans, user. Is there something you want to tell us?

In what other country is this childish speech impediment widespread among adults?

Enjoy your virus.

Its only missing some retro graphics for a perfect trifecta of indie garbage. That said, ill give it a pirate, it might surprise me

>crappy reload animations
2/10

I just got a 15% off voucher on Steam for this. Was wondering what it was.

oh shit I got one too

Which difficulty, lads?

LOOK AT HIS LIPS!

I haven't tried the other difficulties yet but normal is way too easy

ESL people are at some point actually taught to speak English, so they usually miss out on colloquial mistakes like this. Even then, it's likely that they'd see the word written before hearing it so they'd never make a pronunciation mistake.
In most native English speaking countries, inequality is low enough that stupid infantile mistakes don't catch on like that, but in the US you have massive areas of idiots that can echo chamber enough for stupid shit like that to catch on.

Basic mutt education is 3rd world tier.

It's because they're paranoid about people beating their games and refunding or just generally bitching about the game length.
I agree though, I hate procedurally generated roguelikes.

>pretty cheap
>$30
the game looks cool and all but $30 isn't cheap for an indie, particularly one that only lasts 6 hours
no idea why they didn't aim for $20

>murican

The planet on average has pretty shite literacy.

It looks pretty interesting and I got a 25% off coupon for it on Steam. 12 hour campaign sounds pretty short though, especially when it's inflated by randomized maps

It's fun

you can buy it for 22 if you have system shock 2

So like System Shock 2?
