>Deep diplomatic system and economy management
>nice and rewarding exploration in the early game compared to civ
>All the factions are completely unique and play differently like you're playing a different game
>Fun combat that isn't "i have the bigger numbers and more advanced units so i win"
>Great art, lore and music
Cons
>Restrictive movement (kind of)
>Dumb AI like most 4x games
>Difficulty curve is steep
>Some people say it's hard to learn but i'm assuming they're low functional
