there is a lot of trash but overall i agree that there are a good number of hidden gems. double dragon trilogy, river city ransom, zelda 2, spy vs spy, rampage, excite bike, obvious stuff like mario 1 - 3, dr. mario, ninja turtles 2, bomberman, castlevania, contra, etc

the audio chips and song writers for capcom and koonami of that 8bit era are amazing.

oh and can't forget Punch Out, probably the single greatest NES game. its really one of the few NES games that could almost pass for an SNES game, it must have had an insane budget back in the day
