Games that let you zip around in a Giant Robot?
Games that let you zip around in a Giant Robot?
Any Armored Core
The actual votoms
Try Mechwarrior:Mercenaries. Game's fun as fuck.
Zone of The Enders
Why don't more mechas have both feet and wheels like the Tachikomas in Ghost in the Shell.
I see you're trying to get a mecha thread going, amigo. Have a bump. And an actual mod for ARMA.
This isn't the appropriate way to start a mecha thread.
The appropriate way is:
>give me TEN (10) reasons why mechas wouldn't easily get destroyed by tanks.
And take it from there.
>Implying tankfags wouldn't come to a mecha thread anyway
Front Mission Evolved
>Not separating your mechs into Infantry-Class, Powered Infantry-class, Tank-class, Bomber-class for a proper Super Robot Wars feeling.
>Not haging everything be a mech.
>Not having mountains piloting Mountain mechs.
>Not having bees piloting bee mechs.
>Not having trees piloting giant tree mechs.
Pleb.
Is Break Arts II good?
Question for the Thread:
Who's the main character on that mecha setting you've spent so much time brainstorming?
>jobs in mech
>invincible on foot clapping secret bosses
Questions like these should be the OP instead of some boring-ass "What games are mech?"
My main character is a man they call Uncle. He is a Thunder Warrior, part of a genetically-enhanced race of super-soldiers with equally huge mecha to ride. Their Mecha are the Allelujah-class Thunder Warrior standard mecha, which is essentially a Super Robot with weapons out of a Real Robot, made huge and powerful to fit the Super Robot it really is.
Armored core 4 and 4A were super zippy, more so than earlier ones. No clue about the ones after that.
Is that Sanger?
They would. Unless the terrain is to their advantage.
>yfw there hasn't been any huge mecha animes in all of 2010.
Even 2000's had Code Geass and Gurren Lagann.
Watch ssss gridman.
All anime now is "cute girls do cute things" #1629
phantom crash
good luck finding an xbox to play it on though
Funny you should make a thread about this with that OP image.
ZOE, strike suit zero, starscream levels of fall of cybertron
I am honestly starting to enjoy this whole "small mecha, nearly a power suit" feeling these modern mecha are giving me.
Pic related is called 'Revisions' btw.
Watch ssss gridman.
Tits are temporary. Gridman is forever.
I'll check it out. I just got done watching armor hunter mellowlink.
I think you mean.
>Equips all the useless chodes with mecha so they stay out of your way
>The sheer gall you exhibit by going out there against a twelve story alien warmachine with a beam sword literally deflects incoming attacks.
Nothing?
Huge as in popular?
Yeah, shame.
Just tried this, pretty fun even if I don't understand a lick of it.
I've played. It's more F-Zero than mecha. Your weaponry can be useful, but you mostly just want enough to tag anyone trying to beat your position
You will be disappointed if you expect anything more significant than hitting the circuit ganking lighter machines and fending off the heavier hitters.
This.
>all that weeb shit
hahaha look at yourself scrubs you are weak
Why did Hawken devs ruin their game?
Why were MWO devs such huge faggots?
>Why did Hawken devs ruin their game?
autism
>Why were MWO devs such huge faggots?
money
god that thing looks stupid
Mechs would be superior to tanks in city environments. The ability to see into the 2nd floor without entering a building would prove useful. Making them lightly armored and cheaper that MBTs would make them a more combat efficient choice for city fighting. Having 1 or 2 mechs support an infantry platoon would make for an effective force.
It's real nigga hours so let's see how many really real niggas there are - who here played fucking Gungriffon?
Play Zone of the Enders 2.
As far as western reimaginings of Gookshit go it was pretty ok
>implying that Titanfall isn't super weeb
Came here to post Phantom Crash. It has a sequel on PS2 called S.L.A.I. that does some stuff better but other stuff not as good. Still great fun to play though.
My fave:

I came as fast as I could. What about zipping around in giant robots now?
Franxx was pretty popular despite being rancid shit right out the gate
Heavy Gear
We need you to zip to EA headquarters and steal the latest Titanfall 3 beta!
>no masive multiplayer game that lets you fight for sectors like Planetside 2 on ground and in space
>no retro single player mech game that blasts hot blooded choruses or 80s heavy metal the better you perform in combat
>no tactical fps mecha games where precision is key and everything dies in one hit, including you.
Goddammit, we live in the bad timeline.
Phantom Crash Halo TitanFall
>TitanFall
Titanfall, with an excellent focus on getting out of it and still being powerful. It goes on sale on origin regularly and the campaign is easily worth the price, despite being so short. Multiplayer is also populated
I just want a decent Japanese-style shooting mech game. American games put too much stock on the "big, lumbering" mech to make a proper Votoms like movement.
Johnny Ridden is pretty much the perfect mecha protagonist for generic shootybang stuff.
Zone of the Enders HD collection
wait no, it's on steam
more like ass gridsucks.
sorry but that one sucks
Already been there. They don't have it as they're deadset on monetizing Apex for the next few years.
Damn, then we need you to level EAHQ!
I really liked Hawken.
What went wrong?
From what I've heard, their (((shareholders))) were breathing down their neck to turn the game into a generic p2w class-based shooter.
Why are shareholders retarded?
Is the hd remaster worth getting?
That and cgi abominations. Anything worth watching is produced by americans/netflix and even then it's still half a meh. The anime golden age has long been over.
Any of the Virtual On games. You get the whirring noise too.
bump
Here's one even if it isn't all that giant, or good.
Also mentioning Shogo MAD. Not much room to speed but your giant mech can transform to speeder tanks and you can kill kill human troops while in it.
Armored Core 4 Answer.
Good luck finding a copy though, and no, you can't have mine.
I don't have a PS3 so I'm dependent on emulation.
Armored Core 4 and Armored Core 4 Answer.
Armored Core Verdict Day is okay.
a cute muscle girl
It was on 360 too. That's what I play on.
XCX
Titanfall 1, Titanfall 2. Fuck your ugly as shit jap mech garbage play a game that makes them look and play good.
I don't have a 360 either.
Titanfall is more of a parkour CoD game than it is Mecha.
There's an entire gamemode dedicated to titans you lying faggot.
ohno I heard emulation is getting better on PS3. You could just emulate the old ones, but I heard those were slow so it's probably not as "zippy" for your liking.
Surely /tfg/ has made an edit of that, “just blew up the Vegas strip! Now I’m freewheel it outta here” picture only for viper and EA.
Haven't played it in forever so I've forgot.
The Mecha combat was pretty boring.
Based. Fuck jap mecha, shit looks like ridiculous plastic toys. Titans at least look mechanical in design.
I beat AC1, AC2, and AC3. I kinda took a break because I had a shitty controller at the time, PCSX2 doesn't run well for me, and I got burned out but now might be the time to play the others.
How is mellowlink? I just watched votoms and it was okay
Top Tier imo, its only 12 episodes so it doesn't drag like Votoms can.
Konami HD remasters rarely are actually remasters. they're more like poorly modded ports.
Silent hill HD made me so mad.
I wouldn't give them any money. As other Anons have said, the HD ports suck. Just pick up the PS2 originals
Nothing is more worse in any show than your protector being a massive bitch of a protag
tell me this doesnt turn into another Valvrave
The PS2 game and the anime made me appreciate the idea of a AT. Roller skating functions and spinning around is good shit.
Too bad the franchise seems to be on ice.
How shit was the cygames one?
>Too bad the franchise seems to be on ice.
Can we get Ice skating ATs?
Fuck off Alexis

Votoms (ps2)
Armored Core For Answer has the best mech combat.
Raleigh is a solid frame. Hydra's better tho
A cool human sized robot that thinks he's cyber jesus He really isn't and integrates with a mech to do everything but walk around because his body is too old to find parts for and too weak to do anything with.
That would be great on a snow-themed planet for an OVA. There's already ATs built for desert and marshes
Gigantic Army. It's 2D, side-scrolling, action, and blatantly inspired by votoms. Also, it's cheap. One of the best games under $5 I've ever bought.
An ensemble cast of laid back, working class humans and their cute robot girl AI.
Brigador
Some japs made this since it looks like Armored Core 6 isn't going to happen at this point.
Just a simple labourer dude spending his days fishing in his mecha
This OP can NOT be topped
youtu.be
For that matter, Astro Port's other games are great choices too.
The CyGames remaster on PC and PS4 is perfect. Buy them. CyGames said they even want to get Konami to let them make the third one
Does it actually play like F-Zero or are you just saying it a fast racing game?
Does this emulate on Cemu perfectly yet?
Fencers aren't robots ya retard.
You can call mechs though, I don't know why he posted that picture
G no Reconguista
Heroman
Mazinkaizer SKL
Code Geass OVAs (eh) and R3
FLCL 2/3
Sidonia no Kishi
SSSS Gridman
Gundam Thunderbolt
Time Bokan 24
And that's just off the top of my head.
Oh wait motherfucking Samurai Flamenco. Get the fuck outta here fake fan.
If you still watch Macross, you have bad taste. Even if the mecha designs are cool.
A retired space-Navy mechanic who discovered a precursor AI core while scouring the junk sectors in his twilight years, threw it in a mech, and began working as a mercenary to fund their search for said AI's original chassis which bears only a passing resemblance to Drossel.
Most of that shit is garbage and absolutely none of it could be considered "huge."
