The kills in samsho are significantly less violent and drawn out than in mortal kombat. All the MK characters come off like sadistic murderous sociopaths who get off on slaughtering people in the most violent way possible.
If its the same as old games then stuff like this happens when you win with certain attacks.

Highly unlikely. With games like Darkstalkers and Vampire Savior they were able to get away with the gore since it was 2d. The problem isn't the US or Europe though, it's Japan. The cero rating board is notoriously strict on gore, it's why a lot of Japanese horror games and such are often censored in Japan but uncensored for international release.
