i play 3DS instead.
are there any vita exclusives worth playing?
All of them.
P4G is the definitive version of Persona 4 if you're into that
Soul Sacrifice and Soul Sacrifice Delta
Freedom Wars
i though of getting a vita, but i'm a poorfag so i only play games through piracy. I know the vita has its own proprietary save format to scalp consumers. Is their anway around that? Is there like some memory card stick with a micro sd card port or something?
i'm getting a little board of my 3ds. Hows the emulation btw?
There's an adapter called sd2vita and I think you have to do the emulating through the psp emulator
I did. I'm stalled on what to do next.
Download the hentai app and masturbate.
People like you is why the vita failed
Can a hacked psp vita play ps1 games like lunar silver star story?
Yes
What's the difference between soul sacrifice and soul sacrifice delta
>hack your vita
you mean my 3ds?
What's the highest firmware I should be looking out for? Or have we figured out how to mod the last one?
Yes but it's better to use a Vita for PS1 games because you can add l2/r2 triggers
delta has a bunch more content and a better game experience. It's the same game but better.
>Nonpdrm doesn't work on 3.70
>have to downgrade to 3.6X to get it to work only to have games that require 3.70
what's the point?
ref00d.
3.60
Tried to get it work on 3.60 and had no luck, can you give me a step by step tutorial?
You can use firmware spoofers
Fuck off to your thread then, faggot.
Help i suck at persona 3 dancing
No, problems like the one he faces killed the Vita.
Proprietary memory cards are anti consumer and was Sony digging their own grave.
Bought a cheapo vita for less than 100 dollarydoos on ebay and hacked it. Recommended games that aren't JRPGs?
Is it better to get the first generation vita cause the oled?
I don't give a fuck.
Get the plugin off your memory card and onto your Vita’s main memory.
With vita shell you can access it even on an OLED model.
>VITA games
>PSP games
>PSX games
>games for all those 8 and 16 bit emulators
>PS2, Dreamcast, GameCube, PC games through moonlight, PS3 and PS4 games through remote play if you have good internet
I could just play on my VITA for the rest lf my life, honestly.
>Can play everything up to 4th gen through emulation
>Can play GBA games natively and DS games natively through Twilight Menu or a flashcard
>Also has a pretty great library on its own
Why use anything else?
>Recommended games that aren't JRPGs?
>Vita
>games that aren't JRPGS
Kek. I mean there are weeb rhythm games too
Using SD2Vita and started downloading games over PKGj and after waking up in the morning and checking it out it looks like there’s some kinda bloat data filling my memory card.
Content manager says I have 100+GB taken up by “other.”
I’d go into vita shell and remove it, but I don’t know which files are the redundant ones.
What games have an active online community? I want to be lost in another world with people.
...
Because Vita can play everything up to and past the 4th generation with PS1 and PSP being supported natively.
And also has a pretty great library on its own.
Why did you come into a Vita thread to shill 3DS?
Why would any console war handhelds? They’re cheap as fuck. It’s stupid not to own them all.
Fucking this. Makes playing new games on old firmware so simple.
the vita doesn't have nearly as many weeb games as Yea Forums says it has, the only way to enjoy it a bit more is by knowing japanese, even then is all fucking ports and indie shit, i wish the vita hadn't falied, it's a really good console
My vita turns off completely when I put it in sleep mode. Anyone have a fix?
>cheap as fuck
>switch
It costs more than a PS4.
All of them work, but it's recommended to downgrade to 3.60 after hacking it.
I have that issue as well. I think it is a henkaku thing.
Turn off power saving WiFi. It’s on by default and halts downloads when asleep.
TxK, EDF, Killzone?
Aside vita games, isn't better to emulate games on a smartphone? just connect a PS4 controller and you're set.
>hack Vita
>discover lewd mods for several already lewd games
>mfw in bed playing Vita with a boner
You will look like a nigger or spic when you do that.
Absolutely no right to be this good
Not if you have an iPhone which a surprising number of people do.
Killzone Mercenary and Soul Sacrifice Delta's online is still active and they're great exclusives.
I also recommend MGS HD collection, P4G, Muramasa Rebirth, Kiseki Evolution games with their English patches and Ys games as great single player games.
Allright tell me about those mods
Hotline is so fucking good on a Vita.
Only if you want things like portable Gamecube or PS2 emulation.
Vita will do Vita, PSP and PS1 natively.
3DS will do 3DS, DS and GBA natively.
Better would mean the phone would have to emulate these systems without bugs as well as providing enhancements that make them preferable to the original hardware.
>playing retro games fullscreen
yikes
I don’t want to link the site directly fo fear of being cussed out, but search “Vita uncensored mod” in google and it’s the first result.
nice job user you have silent hill
It really is. Which it had gotten katana zero
I stopped playing my vita years ago. Hand cramping was just too much
Been trying to trade it for a special edition 3ds but you can't give these things away.
Hows sega emulation on vita?
the switch is more expensive than the ps4 and the vita is way overpriced
I can't get moonlight to work, the audio stays and the vita still functions as a controller but the video always freezes, any tips?
I bought my vita for $70 and traded my Xbox one for the switch, paid $130 difference
Lower pc resolution and make sure you have compatible video card
Looks so amazing on the OLED. Playing it bed in max comfy. Lisa's scene almost made me cry like a bitch.
Friend recommended that to me the other week, I should probably give it a look sometime.
Nice aspect ratio you fucking idiot.
Anyone else have music glitches in umihara kawase?
I did but I'm waiting on my psvsd so I can put more games into it.
Is it worth pucking up a used one? How easy is it to pirate shit
I hacked it on my birthday last year. I played it a lot up until march or so, I've gone through most of the games worth playing on it, and considering it's emulation capabilities are worse than daisychaining emulations through the PSP emulator on the system, I'll just stick with my actual PSP. Has a better battery life too. oh and no need to deal with an sd2vita adapter that corrupts the entire stick if a breeze goes near it.
Someone link a GOOD guide, please
Is there a way to change the main menu music, icons and virtual buttons with cfw on Vita like how you can on the 3DS with Anemone and a 3DS theme editor?
Just google henkaku
Gravity Rush
Themes, they're also available to non-hacked people. custom ones exist though yes.
How do I fix my battery percentage stuck on 83%? I have that one plugin installed on 3.65 enso
Sounds like it got corrupted somehow, when's the last time you restarted your vita? Could be that simple.
Yomawari is pretty spooky.
Anyone can recommend me a good hand grip for the vita?
ooh
where did you get those analog caps? Mine's finally starting to go.
Dilate
Thanks
The downgrade is the easiest part.
Nice. Thanks user. Mine still work but they've got weird wrinkling on them so I figure it'd be worth grabbing some caps to slide over before they rip.
How?
Can I still go online, play my legal stuff and get trophies and shit?
>bing bing wahoo!
Yeah.
>how
read the thread
>can I still go online
yes
>play my legal stuff
yes
>get trophies
as long as they're not trophies for games not officially released, yes.
Hacking my Vita was honestly one of the best things I've ever done.
Already done, I've pirated all the MGS games that can be played on it, MGS1, 2+3, Portable Ops and Peace Walker
Dude just install autoplugin vpk and instal ref00d from it if you are stupid and cannot add a single line in a text file.
Anybody play PSO2 with the English tweak on Vita? If so how does it play?
How's online for games like Freedom Wars and Soul Sacrifice?
I hacked my Vita for the porn.
PSO2 plays like shit. Just play on PS4 or PC, for fucks sake. Or don't play at all, it's a garbage game.
>how's online for games like
freedom wars is pretty dead. You can find matches usually 5-10 minutes.
>soul sacrifice
the original is dead, I haven't found a match in months. Delta, when I hacked my vita and downloaded it, still had people playing about two months ago. 2-3 minute match times.
Master race owning both enjoying everything.
The SD2Vita has corruption issues? How common are they. I just bought the 5.0 and a 256GB sd and don’t wanna be dead in the water anytime soon.
idort good shit
depends on the model. I had a 1.0 and a 2.0, they both got corrupted within 3 months of purchase. I've since given up on SD2vita and just use a 16gb card I had. I can't store the entire GBA/SNES/NES/Genesis libraries on my vita at all times but honestly it's plenty of space for me. I hear they're better now though but I'm not about to spend even MORE money on that shit.
anybody else try to play C64 games in Retroarch? what the fuck is with that core?
SD2Vita for over a year here, no issues whatsoever.
Is it just the adapter that corrupts or will it toast my micro sd too?
1000 or 2000?
Soji>Chitose
I think the issue is actually with the vita's filesystem and possibly vitashell
I had corruption shortly after I started loading mine up with games via USB/Vitashell, but since then I've always taken the microSD out and transferred straight from PC to that, and have had no issues for like a year
I still use wireless/ftp to transfer small files occasionally
Oh good. I use Vitashell as little as possible anyway. I usually just put the sd card into my laptops reader.
the entire SD becomes corrupted and you have to reformat it.
>I'm not about to spend even MORE money on that shit.
It's less than 10 bucks.
Dunno, I've transfered A LOT of files, big and small through USB and FTP for more than half a year (almost going for a full year) and my Vita and SD2Vita have been perfectly fine.
What version of sd2vita is best?
i like the vita hardware a lot, but its library doesn't really impress me, nothing on the vita makes me want to get one and all nintenbro had to do to get me to get their 3ds was the zelda remakes.
might check the vita out anyway, how's the emulation
nintendo emulation is better on 3ds really
if you want to play ps1/psp it's great
How simple is it to hack? Plug n play or what?
I dunno man, I've used both SD card reader and Vitashell to transfer literally hundreds of gigabytes and my SD2Vita has not missed a beat.
No better feeling.
>ps1/psp it's great
Thanks, I guess I'll stick to my hacked PSP
Fine with Retroarch.
Fullspeed NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA (using TempGBA on Adrenaline), CPS1, CPS2, some MAME games, Master System, Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, TurboGraphx 16, Turbographx CD, PlayStation, PSP... dunno if I'm missing something.
What SD2Vita version are you guys using and what size card?
Dunno the version but I'm using a 128gb card.
The v5 sd2vita with a 256gb microSD
v2, 128gb
hey bro, did you made that lain theme?
or did you get it from somewhere?
looks beautiful
(or if it is just the wallpapers I could appreciate them too)
And you don't seem to understand.
>not just emulating on your phone which is more powerful and more portable
>Touchscreen controls
oh no no no no
I have an old henkaku hack where you needed to connect to wifi to use it. Can i upgrade safely to Enso? I'm still on 3.60
nice touch controls
You can tell by the appearance of the actual SD2Vita.
This guy gets it. I only play jrpgs on the go anyway so nothing lost.
Were Vita's produced in high quanity throughout it's lifespan?
>Playing anything besides turn based games or Ridiculous Fishing on phone
Now just wait a minute
>powerful
pffthahaha
youtu.be
v3, 256GB SD.
I guess? They were available for purchase until earlier this year.
Are there native Vita emulators yet or is the go to route still to use the fucking PSP shell? Is SNES still a fucking no go?
Oh, mine is 4/5 then.
mgba.io
This got updated today with some Vita related fixes.
>controllers for phones don't exist
Can Snoylettes be anymore retarded?
>More portable
>Have to carry a controller
How's the emulation these days? What can it emu well?
See
>Connect controller
>Use more battery or rely on an external battery
>Phone becomes more clunky
Idort here, out of all the devices switch and phone are the least fun for portable gaming. 3DS clamshell keeps it protected and vita being thin enough to allow a case that can still fit in your pocket are both top tier.
What's a good grip for the vita?
Is there any actual difference between the sd2vita versions?
Owning both I can't really decide on which to play more or dedicate more time.
3DS has better software and more classic games and emulation is super solid there but I own a N2DS XL and I feel it's kinda fragile? Like, it's not baaad, it's pretty decent but it's not something I'd like to hold for long periods of time.
As for the Vita, the hardware it's great, it's super comfy to hold for long periods, the emulation is super and you have the whole PS1 and PSP library along with emulation on Retroarch but it's own library is kinda meh. Sure it's cool to play God of War, Ninja Gaiden, Gravity Rush or Soul Sacrifice on the go but that's really it.
So far I've played more my Vita for emulation alone but honestly I like both equally. Can't really decide which I want to use more.
I believe the v5 fits the slim better than the previous versions but otherwise, not really functionally.
oldest ones don't have proper springs so they just kind of get stuck in the slot
pretty sure the underlying tech is identical in each
SNES has been full speed since August. Use the SNES9x 2005 Retroarch core and turn on the reduce slowdown option on max.
How is your v3? I've heard mix things about them but they're so easily available and cheap.
Might as well get a hacked vita and play botw on it so you can dab on switchoids
I've only been using mine for about a month so I'm not the best guy to ask but I haven't had any issues so far. Only time will tell really. I got mine for 4 cents during an Ebay promo so that's really the only reason I got the v3.
They are functionally the same.
I actually have a Vita I'm not using and have been wanting a new emulation machine
Is there a simple toutorial somewhere? How well does it emulate gba/snes? N64?
>N64?
Is it possible to add filters to PS1 games? Most of them look really weird without scanlines. Xenogears in particular gives googly eyes to characters without scanlines.
That's a shame. Oh well, I mostly wanted it for GBA anyway
Yeah.
Thank you
what porn? does PH even work on the browser?
please bro
How do i hack my vita? It's been literally collecting dust for almost a decade and i have a 16GB memory card that's itching to be stuffed with PS1 games
Anyone else think Unit 13 was a good game
Does nobody make themes anymore?
He's referring to a bunch of nude mods of various games.
The demo was okay, but I felt as though I'd get bored after about 30 minutes.
I made one, though it's pretty shit.
youtube.com
Oh rip, guess the video got striked.
youtube.com
can i play jap game on US vita?
Yes
Truly living it up. Great stuff, m8.
soundcloud.com
Nothing comfier
I have spoofed version 3.69, all other games run but Catherine throws error C1-6703-6. Any tips?
>Spoofed
Are you retarded, user?
Look up the ref00d plugin.
Give it to me then user . I'll even give you 20 dollars twords ur 3ds
>3.69
thanks4help
>stretching the aspect ratio when the Vita has a gorgeous screen for pixel art
it is gorgeous, isn't it
Yeah all 3 people in the world that own the Vita
Get to hacking
sip
cute
It's unused in my parents house. It's been unused for years and has the charger broken. Does it even have any chance at all to turn on?
You guys rock. Got Catherine running
Most likely yeah, I picked up a vita from a pawn shop that was sitting there for a few years, had no charger so I asked if I could bring a extra charger to see if it works. Took damn near a hour for it to power on, but it'll work
Whats it like being poor?
this saved the vita
Mine is the original. I think it should still have the original package. Is it worth more now?
What's that GB filter?
Such a shame this didn’t get western release. Fuck sony
you mean fuck atlus
it would be censored anyway
They literally have steam version translated. why the fuck didnt they implement
Catherine Full Body is not the og Catherine, user.
Updated version.
you have to reformat your memory card with 64kb clusters
Oops
ah damn, didnt know there were that many changes
I didn't know there were different revisions
I think I actually paid like 10 cents more for a v3 than a v5 because I thought the black looked nicer
I bought like 6 of them
just the DMG color palette in Gambatte
I REGRET SELLING MY FUCKING VITA SLIM
WTF WAS I THINKING BROS
If I buy one, can I redownload all my purchased games before hacking it?
Good to see some 3DS+Vita love
>dead dead censored ;_;
yes. afterwords too
Shit. I was told to format it to default settings for the cluster size. I don’t even know what that would be for a 256GB micro sd in exfat.
Is this a common problem?
>paying for vidya
yes. saw it on reddit
256gb+ microSDs should be 64kb allocation size.
The fucking vita.hacks.guide site even says it.
Probably not, I paid 80 for the pawn shop one, then paid 100 for a henkaku vita with SD2Vita that had a 64gb microSD and a 16gb memory card.
rip freeshop
I ALSO REGRET SELLING MY 3DS IM FUCKING RETARDED
Which ace combat is that? Looks kinda like 5
V3 and 64gb
Should I upgrade to a V5? I haven't had any problems with my V3.
No lol.
>that scaling
I purchased a Vita for $5 around launch from some crackhead who probably stole it and it's been sitting in my desk ever since. I took it out to put Enso on it and haven't done much with it since. It's a cool piece of hardware, but there doesn't seem to be too much to do with it.
It's 3:2
Skies of Deception
It's basically portable 5, plays really nicely with the Vita sticks
Do I have to rewrite the image file to it? After formatting?
>buy vita
>dont use it
k
yes
Have you tried, you know, playing video games with it?
I used a different guide that didn’t mention this.
Are there any games besides Escape Plan that actually use thing in a way that wouldn't be better with proper L2/R2 buttons?
tearaway but the game is boring shit anyway
I loved the original PSP and figured the Vita had potential, for such a low investment it was worth the risk.
I've tried playing some Japanese Vita exclusives but they where a little underwhelming. Outside of that it just seems like a lot of ports of games I've already completed. The homebrew scene has been a little underwhelming as well and that's unfortunate because I feel like that's where the PSP excelled. That thing had practical utility outside of a games machine, but also had good games too. I'm not counting Adrenaline here.
I set star notes on project diva f to back touch
Already done, twice.
I would have it more but I can't find its charger. Wish the OG Vita had microusb like the Slim.
What's it like living in Austrailia?
that pic makes me sad
>Gameboy Micro was lost probably stolen by these asian friends I used to invite over.
>Let a cousin I was close with borrow my PSP. He ended up letting a nigger borrow it and it was never seen again.
>DS lite with custom tetris skin ended up being destroyed when my mother forced me to let my annoying little cousins borrow it. (came back in 2 pieces hanging by the wires)
You’re (hopefully) an adult now. Just buy a Vita and 3DS and get hacking.
Then don’t let any of your friends or relatives touch it ever.
What's the Other OS situation like today? I want to run some form of Unix on this thing.
Which model of the Vita is the best to get?
1000
But really, either is fine.
The 1000 if you want to use PSVSD, otherwise, it really doesn't matter.
I have that new 3ds black as in the pic, and a ps vita. More of a PC guy now but emulation is as far as ill go.
Thanks
Wrong, PSVSD is only for the 3G 1K model where you have to open the bloody thing up and replace the SIM card module.
When you could, you know, just buy an sd2vita adapter that goes into the gamecard slot.
Again, if you want to use that, you will need the 1000.
Sorry my guy, I was out getting an x-ray. Hope you're still around. It's just a wallpaper with Adrenaline Bubbles for my PS1 games.
How do you get the ps1 bubbles there?
Adrenaline Bubble Manager
Has anyone ever taken the OLED of the 1000 and put it in the body of the 2000? I feel like that would be the ultimate setup.
Adrenaline Bubble Manager with the background colour set to black.
Are you daft?
And this one is the wall I use for my page with hack shit/settings/etc.
Cheers
It's fine but if I wanted a third person shooty game I'd just play all the SOCOMs or Syphon Filters for PSP.
I need a sexy orange lockscreen for my orange vita
anybody have one?
Define sexy.
Not as orange as I thought it was.
It's alright, tho mostly because it and Uncharted are the only TPS games on the system.
Vita is shit.
thats pretty sexy
nice
SONY IFFY UH
I did, I'm playing Nep.
don't have one and my brother lost my PSTV in the house right before their price spiked
any first post that generates rage is a good first post, have another (You)
Organize them by categories you slob
I did, what should I play though?
>You now remember PSPdemocenter
>Had Neptunia REbirth 1 years ago
>sold it because I didn't like it that much; too much grinding
>come across a screenshot from the game I took years ago
>now want to replay the game
Another copy will cost me 30 bucks, but I also don't have space on my card to just download it. Decisions, decisions.
My sd2vita comes in tomorrow. How annoying is the process from switching over from my current memory card to the sd2vita?
zero escape
don forget to install that app that replaces your Calendar app with Vitashell. If you ever format or switch to another memory card it will be a life savor when the hack cannot be replicated again due to a patch. I think it was called HBI Injector or something.
>copy contents to sd card
>use app to set sd2vita as main memory
>that's it
depends. i ran into lots of problems myself
But what if I need the Vita's calendar app for all of my work meetings?
i know your joking, but you can choose calendar, parental controls or email
What are the 2 cameras for? Surely it can't just be for tearaway?
I think you can use it for Project Diva.
there was a shitty fighting game that took your pic as well
So is the vita the best emulation machine? The screen and controls look really cool, but I've heard people talk shit that everything other than the native stuff is pretty bad. How's SNES and GENESIS and GBA? Is there MAME?
They're cameras. What do you mean what are they for? What do cameras do?
No, but it's a good choice.
what theme is that?
Does it have retarded menu music or low volume chill menu music?
Have group video chat with Yea Forums
Played the entire series already
mod your vita retard
Well if you read/saw vids on it you know you just put a file in the sd card reformat it
copy all your card's content to the sd card
and run autoplug in to do everything for you
I'm also getting my sd2vita but I didn't see amazon had a sale on their 200gb card for 25 bucks so I got the 128gb instead
Four Seasons, official theme
hackedVita + hackedPSTV combo is the best. Its basically a sony version of the switch with a bunch of emulators. Can't be beat.
Thanks user it's really chill
No! The Vita is one big hit away from making it big and if you hack it you're not a true fan. Just ask /vitagen/
3.0 here, half a year. Good so far
Oh I thought it was a retroarch filter.
Hacking is the only way to go for a Vita.
I think you have to have a specific taste to enjoy 90% of their exclusives and sincerely recommend them to others. I've had a Vita since the 2nd year of it's life and I think I have maybe 3 exclusives I thoroughly enjoy, even after all these years. P4G, Soul Sacrifice, and Dungeon Travelers 2 are all definite must-plays. Everything else really feels pretty half-ass and low-budget, especially when compared to 3DS games developed on a far weaker console.
There's other games that can be enjoyed somewhat but I wouldn't call them reasons to buy a Vita. Games like Killzone Mercancies, Oreshika, Demon Gaze, and Freedom Wars are all decent enough games but definitely would not make them priorities to play. Freedom Wars, especially, because I see this game recommended so much without information of how little content the game has and how repetitive it gets. There's very little actual monster variety and the game tries to pad out the length with human vs. human fights which are a
an utter bore to play. If you are slightly interested, this is a game you have to pirate. Don't try to look for a copy because I think this game isn't worth what it's going for.
Lets be honest, the Vita died not just because of Sony's raw incompetence, but also because it got abandoned by all but niche JRPG and MonHun knockoff shit.
Until the Switch can run GameCube and N64 games at a stable speed I think it's absolutely the best. I actually don't know how Switch runs PS1 for all games but the ones I played on it worked amazingly.
The Switch also has great DS emulation potential if they manage to get it working.
Sony should be and is the only reason the Vita failed. I don't know why they didn't have any competent studios develop for the system.
The Vita released at a time where the 3DS wasn't looking to hot in both library and sales and they really screwed up on capitalizing on it. It's mind blowing that a big company like Sony made a simple mistake like that. I don't know what their marketing was like for the system, but NONE of the people I talked to even knew what a Vita was, and several people asked me If I was playing a 'PSP' when seeing me play it. It's quite literally the Wii U of handhelds.
>especially when compared to 3DS games developed on a far weaker console.
? Have you played third party games on the 3DS? They're, at best, similar is quality.
I wish the saturn emulator didn't run 1fps on the vita. Imagine saturn on the go...
When will they finally have seamless n64 emulation I thought gamecube would be working by now
I could have swarm I put like 40 hours into freedom wars. All the manufacturing stuff to get better gear and slut out your robot
>I don't know why they didn't have any competent studios develop for the system.
They did, and all it got was the epitome of "handheld cash-in game", besides maybe Uncharted. Remember Call of Duty Black Ops: Declassified, or the abysmal port of Borderlands 2? The few big developer that tried got smothered by low effort, which smeared the system and made everyone abandon ship faster than the Wii U.
Not really. Two SMT games, Bravely Default, Yokai Watch, MH4U, Etrian Odyssey series, etc.
Tons more but that's all I can think off the top of my head. Even if you don't particularly find the games I named fun, I think it's not hard to say that they're easily made with more quality than Vita games.
Muramasa and the Odin Sphere remake are solid 2-D action games, and Dragon's Crown is a pretty fun 2-D beat em up in the same vein as the old Capcom D&D games.
Is there a way to play grandia 2 on my vita?
Dokuro is a fun puzzler
No,
Unless there's been some crazy development in Dreamcast emulation I'm not aware of, no.
What about using moonlight to stream it from my pc? Is the lag pretty bad?
Have that tucked away in one of my folders waiting for a fan translation
probably faster to just learn jap
They gave it a brand new Uncharted as a launch title. It did okay, but its sales to date in NA are barely over 400,000 even when accounting for super cheap $5 digital copies
They gave it a multiplat hotshots golf with PS3 as a launch title. That didn't sell either
They gave it a brand new exclusive wipeout. The game bombed so hard they closed down the studio
They gave it a brand new IP from Zipper, the guys that made Socom. It bombed so hard they closed down the studio
They gave it a brand new exclusive Killzone. Sold so bad they merged the studio with another.
They took a PS3 game, changed it near completion to a Vita game and released it that summer. Gravity Rush sold so very poorly that it was later featured in a flash sale for $.84 and they put the sequel on PS4
They gave it a brand new exclusive LBP game. It was the worst selling in the series
Hearing all that, would you put any of your A teams on a Vita project? All that shit was only from 2012, with the exception of Killzone which was 2013. Developing only for Vita is sending your game out to die, which is why Sony went full PS4 only after that was a success and why so many games that did end up on Vita were multiplat with other platforms.
Sucks that Digimon World: Next Order doesn't have online battles.
Choose a game for me to play. I have the pirate's curse.

Everyone already did faggot, you are years late.
Man, Vita General may have the most autistic poster I've ever seen in the decade-plus that I've been coming to Yea Forums. Somebody posted a Vita screenshot as a .png, and some dude just sperged out claiming he's a filthy pirate and to go back to Homebrew General. The guy posted a photo of his limited edition of the game, proving he didn't pirate the game, but the other dude continued to sperg out.
Apathy/indecision due to too many choices shouldn't be called "pirate's curse". I have over 1000 games on Steam, and I've probably only played like 1% of them.
I hacked my pstv. I love it, but i haven't had the time to play it with all the work i've been piled with. I think i'm just going to build a collection of games for when i feel like playing everything. It's nice knowing i can play the games i never got a chance to play :0
Theres PS2 for mobile now?
Just did. Hacked a PS TV back down to 3.6. Took all fucking night. Not like I had anything else to do, though.
Thing is, I only did it because I'm probably gonna sell it and having it pre-hacked is a selling point, considering how much of a pain in the ass it was. There's really nothing I can think of playing on it. I owned a PSP back in the day, so Dissidia 012 on a big screen ain't that much of a selling point. Anything anyone wanna recommend? I ain't seeing my buyer for 2 months.
I'm sorry user
If you have a PSTV, is there any reason not to install Vitagrafix (for higher resolution games) and LOLIcon (for overclocking)? I mean, with an actual Vita, there's obviously a battery life penalty. But since a PSTV is plugged into power, there's no downside, right?
Sony is much more dependent on third parties to carry their systems than Nintendo, if they don't show up it's dead on arrival. They should have gone all out on advertising it, renamed it the PSP2 and get all the mainstream sellers on board at launch and beyond.
People overestimate Sony's first party support since their games are hit or miss in terms of sales, even on PS4. It needed GTA at launch year, even PS2 ports would do, a real CoD from Activision itself or the Killzone studio, not a 6 month rushjob sent to die, and real versions of the yearly sports games from EA and 2k instead of phoned in roster updates. Anything to catch mainstream interest at launch and keep momentum. Instead Sony kept throwing random no name games to see what stuck, had almost no advertising and had a few shitty cash ins like CoD that burned what little interest there was in the Vita from the mainstream.
Honestly, I think the Vita could have done much better if Sony (properly) ported AAA PS2 games to fill their catalog instead of what we got instead.
What is there to do on a hacked vita? Hacked mine yesterday havent done anything but play mario 64 at varying speeds.
