Is this shit really worth it now...

Is this shit really worth it now? It's half off on PSN rn and people keep talking about how they updated the FUCK out of it to the point where it doesn't resemblance the launch version.

Glitchy as hell but it's fun and has a shit load of content, if not too much.

if you're even remotely interested then ya might as well pull the trigger. Unless your a NEET bitch who barely receives a weekly allowance. You're not a NEET bitch are ya?

It's still the same grindy survival game it always was

There's just more stuff to find and build

It’s not worth it, no. All the shills will say shit like “B-b-but they made good on their word! We have bases now!”, but at the end of the day it’s still an unfun grind. You will just be flying to a randomly-generated planet to shoot at colored rocks until you get enough resources to travel to ANOTHER planet just to do the same thing over and over again.

Don't know why people are defending this game. They got huge backlash and created a good game ,THAT THEY SHOULD OF DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE ,after getting off with TONS of people's money. Fuck em and fuck this game . Fuck the video game industry in it's current state.
>Here take this pile of shit and we'll throw some glitter and air freshener on later

>made a bad game, then made it good
somehow worse than
>make bad game, never gets good

It's better, delivered on a few promises they made initially, but in the end it's still the same boring slog.
I actually think they redeemed themselves by updating it for free so much. Most people would've dropped it or double down and monetize the fuck out of the remaining playerbase with paid DLC and microtransactions.

They could've split with the money if it was their intention to lie to people. The fact they completely dissapeared from the media and actually started updating the game to deliver their promises shows they do care about their product. Yeah they lied, but seeing how they proceeded, I don't think they intended to.

you'd have to be a retard to give those people money i don't care if the game sucks your dick

It's worth it for the VR alone. Everything else sucks.

Nothing like travelling through an alien planet into space in VR.

You probably bought mk 11 or battlefront you seem the type

No, he intended to. They're smart enough to realize they need to salvage their reputation a little if the company is going to survive, or at least for it not to be a stain on their CVs.

Alot of people on this board will refuse to admit the game is great just on cynicism alone. Kinda like a reverse shill.
The truth is that its a very niche game. Unless you enjoy stuff like material grinding/gathering and building, then you probably wont like it. Its a very slow-burn experience thats not for everyone.

The lies are a big part of the problem. Or are there sandworms somewhere now?

Is the VR for that released yet?

i won't ever try it on principle alone so it doesn't matter if it's the best game ever made

i spent so many hours logging planets only for them to update it and delete everything i did
i was pissed off.

luckily i found the cheat to copy every expensive item, then i was able to just buy any ship and do anything, i lost interest in the game after that.

Lets be real here, It wasnt so much lies as much as Sean Murray being an over-excited sperg.
Forgivable? I dont know, but I try not to hold grudges on something that arbitrary.

God, what will they ever do without your $30

Sorry, no. I went through this with Peter Molyneux/the Carters with Fable starting back when it was called Project Ego. Weapons you could take with you through the whole game by upgrading and adding to them- using anything potentially as a weapon. Carving your name into a sapling and seeing it 30 years later as a full-grown tree. Murray, like Molyneux, know how to say what we want to hear but fail on implementation. Then the unforgivable act is them lying about it or conveniently forgetting to talk about these failures until after release.

the game still sucks
