I will have to insist that Linux is the future of gaming
Maybe not for next three years or so, but in 5 to 10 years you will be seriously asking yourself "why did I laugh at that user in 2019 if he was actually right?"
I will have to insist that Linux is the future of gaming
Linux is the present. Most shit runs well in my PC, and Switch is technically Linux. I heard some rumours about another console used by Spanish to play Fifa; but, idk if it was true.
Linux must remain underground.
While I definitely want games to run well on the platform, it must NEVER reach success.
If it ever were to reach success, corporates would absolutely find a way or another to exploit it, or fuck it up any way they could.
Linux can have stable games, but we absolutely, positively need to keep the software locked behind "artificial difficulty" like terminals, complicated lingo etc.
If Linux gets corrupted (more than it already is - thanks a lot Linus "cuck" torvalds.) then we'll have to switch to some shit like OpenBSD, and then what, fucking templeos?
The only of this ever happening is if some major company starts selling PCs preloaded with Linux. 95% of people will never install a different OS and just use what comes with their computer, so as long as all PCs come with Windows this has literally zero chance of happening.
>then we'll have to switch to some shit like OpenBSD, and then what, fucking templeos
Make your own operating system you piece of shit, all you need is a Masters in CS.
You are correct, though the platform is already a VERY serious contender for gaming use as well.
The DXVK tech seems to evolve at light's speed, with numerous DirectX titles already running equally well, sometimes even BETTER than on a Windows system. The moment the VK12 matures properly, Wontworks 10 will be literally obsolete.
That's not even covering the overall popularity of Vulkan in general. Not to mention it feels great being able to once more OWN your PC and its OS, not sell your soul to some mega corp's "service", and even freely customize it to your liking. The security on Leenux is also legendary at this point.
>run mint
>play Civ6
>it only uses one core and lags like a motherfucker in late eras
epic gaymen platform lincucks
aand there's the microcuck right on cue
I switched to Linux fully the night Steam Play was released and I've had a very good time with it. I still have a small Windows partition for dual-boot when a certain game or software simply won't work, but I rarely use it. Luckily, I mostly play single layer games, and the biggest thing to make games not work on linux is aggressive anti-cheat
>buying pre-builds
