I was mostly playing it with a casual speedrun mentality. I also had a really shitty computer at the time so slowdown was everywhere despite the timer still being a timer. I was going for all-achievements too, starting with S-Rank and no hit, but I lost my save when all I had to do left was Irisu S-Rank. I did do Irisu No Hit though.
Maybe like 10 hours? idk it's been 3 years or so.

Apocalypse lets me level up past lv99, put stats into every demon I own, fight the power up fiends with every playthrough and I already beat 4 entirely. I mean you can beat the story in less than 4 hours if you just do the main quest in A. Most of time in it is just me fucking around and making perfect demons and raising their affinities while I take a shit or as I multi task.

I almost never used fast travel, and for the first ~50 hours I rarely use horse gallop. I was taking in all that beautiful world. It was the culmination of decade of books and first 2 games for me, I wanted it to last, I've been playing it for almost half a year, I think. Did everything there was to do and still had a hard time parting with the game. It was an adventure of a lifetime.

Interesting, I'm on a bit of SMT kick recently. Never got too deep into any of the games but I like hearing people talk about it. You play any Strange Journey Redux? Personally I think that will scratch the itch perfectly for me once I get into the groove. Your description also reminds me of my relation to Disgaea. You play any of those? Those are great if you like grinding and stats.
You can also tap the screen to focus on most phones. Just tap around the screen until you get it right.

I play SJ every year. So when SJR came out I beat it twice and decided to leave it alone until next year when I resume my autistic ritual. I have over 600 hours on Disgaea 5. But I went insane and stopped playing it. I always kept telling myself I would stop after I filled a line of numbers on my screen but I kept going until I said enough lol. Had more on 4 but my vita lost my saves when I modded it. Strangely enough I'm not even sure why I had so many hours as I can't even remember how to play the game anymore.

I have 100 hours in Disgaea 5 and here I thought I was going to blow your mind or some shit by introducing you to the series.
That's cool to hear about Strange Journey though. Sounds like a great game if you're willing to come back to it year after year. I got very interested when I heard the whole demon password system. That sounds really cool for interesting playthroughs or just stomping shit if I get frustrated and don't want to grind.

Don't have screenshots but I've got at least around 650 hours in FFXII between all the different versions. For a breakdown, that's about 175 in the vanilla PS2 version across two play throughs, ~160 on an order of ambrosia run in IZJS plus 20 or so in trial mode, and in TZA I've got another 150 on another order of ambrosia play through plus 70 on a more casual play through, another 10-20 in trial mode, and about 80 on a weak mode play through
