Nah. Microsoft has a coverage advantage. They are simply deployed in more areas of the world for better cloud coverage. Google has this advantage aswell. Sony, however, has a hold on the "immersive games" market which is invaluable currently.

It is smart as long as it works. However even in the 1st world there are a bunch of problems with internet bandwith. No one wants a lesser product in the comfort of their own home. And if the internet goes out, you are completely lost. Until at least 10 years i don't see the console going anywhere.

Sony is going to censor everything so its an automatic no buy for me unless its like $200 or less. Nintendo wont release anything new for awhile so that just leaves nextbox. Stupid Sony censored itself out of the market. Most its 3rd party exclusives have gone to pc or switch. The remaining will follow due to their idiotic policies only leaving their shitty movie games and a few likely timed exclusives at best. Sony is saving me money at this point and for the first time since 1997 I will be proud to not own a PlayStation.
