I wish Advance 2 had better level design pretty much constantly.
It's otherwise the peak of 2D Sonic mechanics. Tricks are a great way to add back player control over getting launched into the air, the game is satisfyingly fast, and the engine is pretty solid.
that being said, getting into special stages is kinda fucking retarded in SAdv2, god damn
