they haven't evolved since dragon quest
Because they don't value player choice or creativity. You're just guided through a typical fantasy story and you can only play it the way the devs want you to. WRPGs run with the spirit of RPGs a lot better, but video game RPGs in general have gone stagnant and haven't improved since the early 00's. I blame the shift of focus from gameplay and atmosphere to graphics and easy accessibility.
Yea Forums likes things that they can be angry at. JRPGs are perfect so they can't be angry at them.
>teenages fight gods the game
Geez i wonder why
Granda was such a fucking adventure. I'm fully willing to admit the game has a lot of flaws, but I can only think of a handful of other games with half of its charm, even with the godawful translation.
They like to bombard players with so many mechanics. You really hate that at the beginning but after a while you just break and begin to appreciate the craziness.
yo that was such a based moment in videogame narratives and storylines, i fucking hate not being as captivated by the imagination of beyond the limits of technology at that time
Because as much as people here will say otherwise, Yea Forums is mostly made up of underage normalfags, casuals and people who don't play videogames but like to talk(read: shitpost) about them.
Then to top of all this there's faggots with abysmal taste like you, OP.
I don't, I played Skies of Arcadia recently and had a blast.
