Bongo Bongo is Dead Hand. Not metaphorically or via shapeshifting - they are literally the same physical entity. Look at Bongo Bongo's body - a long vertical shaft dangling from the ceiling - and look at the ring of six tendrils around his eye. Dead Hand is the top of that shaft, with six extra hands extending in a ring to match the six tendrils. The location of Dead Hand's chamber in the Shadow Temple is in line with the fight room as well just to reinforce this.
It's pure speculation, and one with zero consequences whether it's true or not - just a neat way these two enemies line up. You fight Dead Hand/Bongo Bongo first as a child when he's trapped in the Well, then a second time after he escapes when you're an adult, and finally you take on his previously concealed lower body in the bowels of the temple.

So what’s up with the youtube algorithm? Is it more likely to recommend videos over 10 minutes? Is there an upper limit to that?

Working on a vidya video but I swear it’s not clickbait. Will probably be more than 90 minutes so I’m wondering how/if I should split it up.

Pannenkoek was an interesting channel when he was still voicing some of his videos. Despite all the memes about PUs, he was really good at making these crazy obscure SM64 TAS tricks sound interesting and cool. His newer videos and techniques are still cool, but I miss when he voiced his videos.

If you have ads, its better to split the video into smaller digestible chunks. Viewers are more inclined to watch a 10-20 minute video with 1-3 ads, vs a 30+ minute video with 5+ ads plus more ad revenue assuming the views are fairly consistent amongst all the videos

If it is over 1 minute it seems to recommend it more (more ads in the video) however long videos (about 25+ minutes i would say) don't seem to get recommended as much. 10-15 seems like the most efficient depending on how much content you have. Also daily uploads of 10+ min videos seem to give better algorithm results.

Much like these courses on seducing women where the ad is already a literal hour long:

I identify two potential issues:
1) You're writing a script the same way you'd write a paragraph or essay for prose reading, and then stumbling around a whole lot when you try to read it as audio. There's an entirely different cadence to reading and writing these different forms. Ideal scripts have a lot more space, pauses and repetitions in them that prose reading, which would be intolerable on the written page but works perfectly for hearing, and is natural to read. Try just talking randomly about the topic into a microphone and listening back to the recording. Then make some bullet points of what you end up saying, and wittle a bit on which ones to emphasise and which verbal ticks to iron out.

2) Generally you may not be used to the sound of your own voice and need to relisten to yourself in general. Make several small recordings and listen back on them for small changes and cues. Try different adjustments and find what sticks. Make the odd longer recording based on your ideas, leave it a day or so, and go back and listen. You may be surprised by what you hear.

Also don't drink loads of water. Water is criminally overrated. Try some orange juice or milk for a change. In general if your throat gets too dry, try just talking in a quieter, lower and softer voice. You can turn up sound in editing. People can have no idea they're shouting or projecting when they're talking on their own.

Well, in OOT the bow and the slingshot are basically the same item with different meshes. So in the game logic both arrows and seeds are ammo pickups. The game checks what to drop, finds that it is supposed to drop ammo, checks what kind of Link is in play to determine what ammo to drop.

I still think the slingshot is an underused item in the Zelda series. TP was almost a step in the right direction, though it botched the execution on several counts.
Give the slingshot the following properties and it'd be an interesting part of the game:
- Found much earlier in the game than the bow
- No ammo needed - Link can just scrounge for rocks and any other makeshift pellets
- Fast draw and fire speed, and Link can have his shield equipped at the same time
- Low damage or just stun, but can still critically hit weakspots
- Allow any elemental properties to be applied to the slingshot, so a fire charm can resulting in cheap fire slingshot rounds to set something alight from a distance, or used to render a more expensive but powerful fiery arrow attack.

Lots of room for improving the space of items in the Zelda series.

Look up the oot romhack ‘nimpize adventure’. For a while at the start slingshot is all you have and you face some tough enemies early on. It’s not a full exploration of this concept in particular but it’s still pretty interesting. Worth playing yourself if you can emulate well and use a controller.

Be warned combat can get pretty challenging.

He doesn’t fix it but there’s basically no dialog anyway. There’s one really long cutscene at the start, then it seems like it’s just gameplay til the end. I haven’t finished it myself yet though.

There’s a few npcs but you can always skip through their dialog with B, and that’s all optional.

Apparently the 3ds version of oot lets you speed through the slow cutscene dialog that you couldn’t in the original. I like the look of 64 more but I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t a clear improvement by the remake.
