It was a dead category until people started streaming movies and porn on there as a joke. You’d get exposure from streaming in there but people aren’t going to stick around long if you are just doing a regular game stream

Literally everyone who has a decent following got it via something else or were one of the first streamers for a game before it got oversaturated. For example, I'm a drawfag and I average 5-8 viewers and they're normally the exact same people with a few new people floating in every so often. Streaming is NOT FUCKING ENTERTAINING. People watch because they're sad losers with nothing else to do and want to be your friend. Trying to be a Twitch star is going to end in disappointment, even if you had the perfect personality for it you'd still need a ton of luck and would be forced to do scummy things for views.

There's nothing impressive about casually playing video games in the first place, use Twitch as a tool to kill two birds with one stone and enjoy video games like normal while halfheartedly engaging an audience and making shit-tier content the bottomfeeders will eat up. Get this delusion out of your head that you're going to be a professional streamer. It'd literally be faster to start learning how to draw/make Youtube videos and use the following from that to pad your Twitch group. Nobody is going to come to your dumbass stream otherwise. Who the fuck are you? Unless you got plugged by someone famous or are top ranked in a game, you can't expect people to care.

Its the same as private streams that twitch used to have. Then they removed that function because people streamed porn in secret to their 5 viewers..now it's becoming a payperview for partners.
