Doom Slayer is a different marine, and way stronger than Doom Guy. He's so powerful all of Hell FEARS him. You know how kids look under their bed for monsters? Demons look under their bed for Doom Slayer. Know how you see a glimpse of a shadow in the corner of your eye and your mind imagines some fiend lurking about ready to strike you? Demons see that same shadow, except they worry it's Doom Slayer.

Doom 1/2/64 is Doomguy, DOOOOM and Doom Eternal is Slayer, Doom 3 is so boring and shit, a hybrid between Bioshock and FEAR without being as good as either (When Bioshock is just Console System Shock to begin with) so it doesn't get a name.

Yeah man, Doomguy is fucking insane fast. Dante fights slow moving mobs most of the time. I don't think DG could fucking kill Dante, since he's pretty much immune to all sorts of shit, but Dante could only win if he just like traps him or some shit.

I kinda want for there to be a crossover game where The Doomslayer gets dropped into WH40K because I think his specific power bonuses (kill to live and incorruptable) would make him a real contender in the WH40K universe.

Mundus is a reality warper actually. He's a universal threat at very least and possibly a multiversal one as he's capable of creating universes.
Argosax is at least as strong as Mundus.

"Hell" in DOOM is a multiversal "threat" in a sense it can "threat" multiple universes with their invasions, it isn't capable of fully taking over a Universe, though, nor can it "destroy" one.
Doomslayer, meanwhile, does indeed fight against Hell, but he isn't winning. He's a constant pain in their asses and he can take on almost anything they can throw at him but his one biggest achievement is taking out the Titan - Hell's strongest - but not the Hell itself. In fact, he ultimately lost the battle against Hell as he was successfully sealed away sometime prior to the events of DOOM 2016.
By the way, Dante did "fight Hell" on his own. If we take SMT vision - a "multiversal hell".

Actually, Dante might've lost several encounters against Vergil but he had ultimately won every single "war" he had against him. Vergil had never managed to beat a fully motivated Dante.

Some of his SDT moves might suggest space-time manipulation - like Judgement slowing time to a crawl, Demolition stopping it, Advent moving him at seeming FTL speed.

DOOM 2016 is actually the first game to suggest Doom Guy being super-fast. I believe lore-wise he's much faster than the gameplay makes look like. Not Dante-levels, of course, but he might be ridiculous enough to canonically outrun DOOM 1/2 gameplay marine.

At the same time, Dante has turned demons into unrelated devil arms in the past like with Pandora, so he's probably just harnessing energy they release upon death and reshaping it, similar to using red orbs to buy upgrades.
Demons get their power from blood, and there's no way that Doomguy's blood is mortal anymore.

Even the youngest and weakest iteration of Dante, before even fully unlocking his demonic powers, casually shrugged off a custom modified high power demon killing bullet to the forehead.

I went back and tried to play doom 3 a few weeks ago after playing nu-DOOM again and I completely forgot how fucking slow Doom 3 was. I really liked it when it came out, but I completely understand why it was hated so much, it was the antithesis of everything Doom was supposed to be. It doesn't even hold up well at all today, some of the lighting and graphics were good for its time, but they have not aged well and the gunplay is complete and total ass and surpassed by other games of its time like Far Cry.

I don't remember that, and I just recently replayed 2016.

My understanding is the Doomslayer was created, or given powers by some beings that were enemies of Hell that were conquered by Hell, and gave him powers to fight them making him incredibly powerful and a nightmarish force (to the demons).

Isn't one of the last segments of the game, those creatures that you steal the energy from or whatever that are like statues, I think those were the beings that gave him his powers or w/e.

The doomslayer himself is a person from another civilization that fought with hell too I think, but when they were wiped out he was given powers and becomes stronger by killing more and more demons.

No the betrayer is the seraphim that gave doom guy the praetor suit. I dunno why anyone thinks otherwise when the game says exactly this. The other knights just decided to follow dg on his journey to rip and tear.
