Luminary is still technically Erdrick, he's still an "anime swordsman" and he's still from DQ. The only thing that would get accomplished from Luminary getting in instead of 3 is that it would hurt some of the actual genuine Erdrick supporters. Not a fake fan though. I am personally pre-leak, but even if you account the leak, it has been six months, a lot of people talk about how they have wanted a character in Smash since they first played a game and it only takes 20 hours to finish DQIII its entirely possible the leaks just made people more aware of the arguments for Erdrick which go as far as 2011 and the quality of DQ which, as you people always say, is extremely unknown in the west, and now they truly like the character. You can even see Gohan posting go down in place for some legit DQ related stuff.
But whatever, it will take a miracle to take you out of the narrative that only characters you like are legitimate and everyone else is just there to troll you.
