Why does Yea Forums hate this weapon?
Why does Yea Forums hate this weapon?
spin to win
Reddit recommended it as the beginner's weapon of choice.
Which is funny because Saw Spear untricked is the best DPS in game.
because its the best starting weapon and this triggers the shitters
Yea Forums is filled with cane tippers
The R2 unironically breaks the game
The cane has been rendered obsolete by it's better STR counterpart.
It depends. I recall that at +10, the Saw Spear has 10 less AR than the Saw Cleaver. But its got superior reach and a vertical overhead as well as a great running R2.
What you want to do with the Saw Spear at endgame is infuse it with either Fire or Arcane. Both work superb. That's the only way it can outdo the Saw Cleaver in raw AR. Because its got superior performance with elemental attacks.
LHB is another key elemental weapon. It goes well with Fire, Bolt and Arcane.
It's the casual weapon you're not good at the game until you can pick the cane and kill cleric beast and gascoigne in one go without dying
its a tutorial weapon, the easiest to use and for learning how to trick the weapons.
Untricked Saw Spear counts as serrated so it has 20% more damage. No one builds it for fire or arcane because papers exist.
Because Yea Forums has always been filled with contrarian faggots that complain when the ground is too soft and their legs aren't broken enough.
This is my cat.
Say something nice to him.
Did you realize that Serration + Fire stacks multipicably?
Trust me I'm a souls pro. See even the first wiki I checked agrees.
Anyway if you want to brag about 20% damage adds, you're looking for the Church Pick. Serration loses its edge halfway through the main game. And even Ludwig loses that weakness in his second phase.
Because it's a shitter's choice for a weapon.
Spin2win should have been a mid game or late game item.
I love Niggerman!
Saw cleaver is such a dumb weapon
Because out of the 3 weapons, cleaver is objectively the best and axe is second best.
Those of us who play games either have a massive need to minmax or are massive contrarians, so they can't pick the middle ground.
The axe is fine but why use it when you could kirkhammer your way to greatness.
Reminder that shields in bloodborne are actually good lategame and anyone that thinks otherwise fell for the "SHIELDBAD" meme
Shields are pretty great against arcanists and gun spammers.
Loch shield is pretty great against fights like Logarius.
Because the kirkhammer is slow, has shitty range, and mediocre damage.
This remind me, I need to get back to Demon's Souls and finally finish it.
It's very powerful though.
Staggers almost everything in the game and breaks limbs with ease. Charged R2 pancakes are devastating.
Imagine going through life not knowing the pleasure of hammer justice crushing down upon your foes.
The L2 could use a buff but the charged R2+R2 is unstoppable.
Its like the Stake Driver but with safety, or the Logarius Wheel untransformed charged R2. You don't rely on one shot. First you flatten them then you launch them. And in case you get mobbed after the R2 by dogs or in chalice dungeons, the follow up will launch them away.
It really is. It's one of three weapons that are anime level retarded and would be physically impossible for the stick figures in this game to lift.
It's not so much the logic, it's the visual. I tiny wimpy stick person throwing a massive wheel around and flicking their wrists to generate centrifugal force for blades twice the length and girth of their torso is just fucking silly and works against the overall aesthetic.
Also the slight limp in the player walking animation should tell you what weapon you're supposed to be using.
there is no justice to be found in the Church.
This. I dropped it at Mensis because of it.
Started the game over with STR/ARC in mind and had a much better time. Bolt Threaded Cane is heresy because you still get good DPS even with low SKL.
the damage is utter shit though, even worse than the cane I think. I don't remember numbers but using this thing is frustrating because of its gay damage, at least the cane is faster
The act of hammering not the church itself
did they fix the shitty hitbox? it used to have that weird problem where r2'ing the hammer would sometimes consider it a handle hit or something when you straight up smashed with the heavy part, ruined the weapon for me.
The gun is better than a shield in almost every situation you're a god if you master the gun
Imagine not using the arm of a god to crush and slash people
Parry bait is suoer easy to predict. I'll just stagger anybody I come across
what's even the point of the blunderbuss when the pistol exists?
>not including the King's Field and Armored Core versions
Lame.
crutch weapons for noobs who cant git gud
pretty baste, it's my favorite whip weapon and has the best scaling out of them and is a novelty meme and makes a goofy sound, truly the choice of patricians
Making blades of mercy users seethe
You can miss the parry but still stunlock characters like gascoigne and maria. If you hit them at the right spot and most of the pellets connect.
you don't have to aim i.e. don't have to wait for a frame where their body is actually in your locked on trajectory. i have missed large huntsmen with the damn pistol so many times reeeeee
it's lame that it's so low damage tho
Would Bloodborne be improved if you had to reload your guns?
>shoot
>must press L2 again to reload before gun can shoot again
>can roll, sprint, quickstep while reloading but you can't attack
>guns that muzzle load do boatloads of damage and have wider parry windows but obviously reload very slowly, guns that breech load do shit for damage and have a more narrow parry window but can be spammed
Probably a case of sekiro where they downgraded the difficulty because TOO HARD. Otherwise yeah, it would've been better that way
Its possible they had that system before but canned it. Gascoigne's gun and Gherman's gun. They have different ammunition than you'd expect. Gherman's blunderbuss fires a slug when he uses the bone marrow ash.
