I've spent 24 hours on it and didn't get past the character creation. I didn't have this problem with Icewind Dale 2.

I wish I quit at the character creation

Why? I'm entering california and its fun af.

pretty much everything about the game is terrible with only a few things being mediocre and nothing being good

>what happens when a zoomer plays a game for grown-ups: the post

Name one thing that wasn't terrible my sunk cost fallacy friend

A pretty good game.

>no one talk about it ever
feels like a true indie man

The OST.

mediocre

>goalpost status: moved
So it isn't terrible.

ok I'm sorry I'll just repost my previous post

>pretty much everything about the game is terrible with only a few things being mediocre and nothing being good

No it's shit

>claims sunk fallacy
>has a million hours in BR games and similar zoomer flavour of the month trash like mordhau, r6 siege and f2p games
>owns a 100 dollar wireless logitech mouse that he shills everywhere because he got tricked by influencers
>goes in threads about games he doesnt understand or never played and calls them shit

how accurate was this you incel weeb?

I guess Warhammer 2, Days Gone and Monster Hunter.
Not particularly proud.

I feel like you can only enjoy this game if you have autism. Am I correct? It feels way to easy to gimp your characters and to find yourself in a hopeless situation unless you meticulously plan everyone levels in advance like an autist.

>being so assblased someone called your game shit

go look for more 90s crap to turn into trash items Fargo

>not spending more than 50+ hours on a game

Attached: 1555338818543.jpg (500x750, 71K)

I thought this game was worth every hour spent. I really loved it.

I think the only way you'll severely gimp your characters is if you give them stats without reading what they do. Common sense and the tooltips are more than enough to avoid the big pitfalls.

oh I'll just post your other one
>Name one thing that wasn't terrible my sunk cost fallacy friend
Oops. Doesn't really matter, there's no need for you to get so upset over a game you never played.

Fascinating insight.

Not on normal difficulty. I used only one rifle specalist and even had someone using fucking melee and beat the game just fine.

Your opinion is trash, you have shit taste and you're pissy about everything, that's why no one likes you and you have no friends

Pile of shit, can't believe I got memed into playing it.

Yikes. Have sex my dude.

It's simple as shit, it just has a bunch of noob traps because you're not told that assault rifles are better than everything and initiative gives you more turns

>I think the only way you'll severely gimp your characters is if you give them stats without reading what they do. Common sense and the tooltips are more than enough to avoid the big pitfalls.

lmao, I'm pretty sure the game doesn't tell you you'll be raped by everything if you ignore initiative. And even if it does it doesn't tell you how most of the weapon skills are inferior to other ones and which of the five box opening skills are actually useful.

>person defending wasteland 2 telling other to have sex

>literally answered "have sex"
Sounds like I hurt your feelings eh? I swear you'll stop hating yourself someday fatty

Haha holy shit, underrated burn.

That is a lot of projection. Please stop getting mad at people for having different opinions, you will be a happier person.

The first half of the game was pretty good, but that second half was dogshit. Actually, thinking back, Darwin Village was also very half assed, so much that first third pretty good, second two third shit. A lot of wasted potential, but I'll give it this, there's far worse out there.

Whoever designed the gear progression deserves to be fired. You either go for ages with no upgrade or suddenly get three all at once. It's no so bad at the start, but once you're in LA it never feels satisfying.

The map design was lazy af too, that last level looked more like the basement of a high school than a top secret military facility.

>lmao, I'm pretty sure the game doesn't tell you you'll be raped by everything if you ignore initiative.
Because the only way to figure out that moving more often in a turn based game is good is by having the game tell you.

>And even if it does it doesn't tell you how most of the weapon skills are inferior to other ones and which of the five box opening skills are actually useful.

All weapon skills are useful, and even if you pick one of the weaker ones you should still be able to make up for it with every other party member. You don't need the game to tell you that a varied team is useful.

A crap game made secondhand with the same shit engine Xcom used. 90% accuracy with a shotgun at point blank shouldn't miss and it definitely shouldn't miss every single time I get a chance to shoot.

This game was made by a Kickstarter so it is understandably very shitty and clearly made to scam people out of money. The janky graphics, poor gameplay and terrible terrible characters that are as bland as the background is brown. Which is to say; totally and completely.

It delivers only a fraction of immersion even Fallout 1 could supply and has a WORSE combat system. How this is possible is up for you to decide.

Prey
Rimworld
Endless space 2
underrail
Slay the spire
Dragon quest 11
Sunless sea

>and has a WORSE combat system.
It's better than the fallout combat system because characters are able to move more than 2 steps without wasting all their AP.

>Because the only way to figure out that moving more often in a turn based game is good is by having the game tell you.
>literally can't read

>All weapon skills are useful, and even if you pick one of the weaker ones you should still be able to make up for it with every other party member. You don't need the game to tell you that a varied team is useful.
half the weapons are shit and will gimp if you play on the higher difficulties, a varied team is not useful since all you need is assault rifles and maybe a melee dude or two to stop anything your gunline doesn't kill

Kenshi and rimworld

It's technically better
it's still worse because Fallout didn't have random trash mobs every 5 steps

How do i into kenshi? It's all so unintuitive.,

Um..ok, well my first combat in Wasteland took forever because both the enemy and my guy continued to fail to hit eachother. Where as in Fallout 1 I whooped the rats and was on my way to better things in a few minutes.

Wasteland 2 is a very shitty game. The amount of steps, which is a frankly ridiculous measure of the quality of a combat system, doesn't even matter in Wasteland because melee guys will run up to you and you can't move and shoot with anything resembling accuracy, so then you should probably bust a melee weapon out or pray to RNG that 95% is enough to hit the guy right in front of you. All of which Fallout 1 allows in their very old combat system.

This. I went into the game completely blind and invested in skills like smgs and brute force despite them being pretty useless. Only one of my characters had initiative because I was about a dozen hours in before I realised having it high let's you move twice before most other people.

Got by okay on hard with shit stat distribution and weapons. Had some tough fights near the end but nothing unwinnable.
>half the weapons were useless
Wouldnt say useless, but alternatives were better. Again, I never realised the benefit of a triple-rifle headshot until the end and still got by okay.

How were you positioned in said encounter?

>>literally can't read
If the game tells you a stat grants initiative, and you don't know what that means, maybe YOU SHOULD LOOK IT UP. It's not a rare term, for fuck's sake.

>half the weapons are shit and will gimp if you play on the higher difficulties
I think maybe you are shit instead. You don't need more than 1 assault rifle in any difficulty. Sure, you can minmax all you want, but more assault rifles means less bullets.

>Um..ok, well my first combat in Wasteland took forever because both the enemy and my guy continued to fail to hit eachother.
Why was your accuracy so low? Did you not crouch? Were you on the other side of the map?
Did you try using weapons you had no skill with?

>both the enemy and my guy continued to miss eachother
>95%...guy right in front
this was how I was positioned

meant for as well.

I think you're full of shit.

God I bet you would have autistically raged over Morrowind if you had played that back in the day.

start by having a simple goal of buying a building in a city or gathering/stealing enough food and making enough money to recruit few more followers
then start training yourself by going into band of weak bandits with your fresh recruits to get beaten and keep one person away to come up and heal everyone that got beaten to near death
repeat this until you have few decent fighters that can both take a beating and don't die to bandits and such
then you can get into exploration and doing trades to make money and prepare yourself for doing all the research and starting a city
the game is just like mount and blade and lives up to the name of sandbox but once you have a party that can do something beside die then the fun truly begins
also you can come to /keng/ to get more detailed advice

I got Morrowind when it released and no, I didn't.

I don't care what you think. I know what happened when I played Wasteland 2 and I know it is shit. Believe whatever you want.

"I suck at this game therefore it sucks", is all I'm getting from you though.

Your autism over shotguns having 90% to hit despite being close range should be triggered by Morrowind.

>missing a 95% shot more than once
>missing it more than twice turns into miniscule odds
Why make stuff up it you don't like it?

this. I don't know why people blatantly lie so much over things they dislike to try to get others to dislike the same thing.

This is genuinely embarrassing and you should be ashamed.

The Algorithms have determined there is a 100% chance that you are not a bot and can now begin Phase Two.

Why is that? This place seriously needs to lighten up a bit.

Anyone else nuked themself back in the base

Not me I let the indian get cooked.

Wasteland 2 is a 7 with an insane amount of balancing issues, I enjoyed and struggled with it on ranger mode. I'm actually really looking forward to Wasteland 3 being shown at E3 this year.

For those who are thinking about playing it, focus your character builds on combat as that is the primary method of interaction in the game, don't make my mistake. Don't share weapon categories between characters as you will be forced to split ammo early on, avoid Heavy weapon and Energy Weapon skills at the beginning.

Did you get all 3 of them? 4 if you count the nuke at the beginning.

I played a number of hours of this game and was actually really surprised by how good it was. I stopped in the zone where there's multiple factions and.. I think a trainyard? Multiple shops, etc. Fairly early on I think? How far into the game am I?

is farming sim good?

Have fun farming Children of the Citadel encounters (Assuming you aren't playing on bitch difficulty)

>For those who are thinking about playing it, focus your character builds on combat as that is the primary method of interaction in the game

You still want decent int so your squad can tackle most interactions without help. You don't need many 10-int characters, but you also don't need more than 1 weapon skill. As long as your initiative's good you're probably fine even with lower stats.

A little under halfway or so?Less than halfway.

because like most of us didn't even see the original post and all of us don't really care
you're the only one who cares and the thing you care about is us knowing who made the inital post which we still can't verify
sooo
yeh you should be emarassed, I hope you don't act like this in real life because it would probably be very annoying and would make me want to stay away from you

It’s pretty good if you like job simulators
I’m 70 hours in and so far it’s not as good as 17 but once the seasons mod comes out it will improve immensely.

I think Platinum was 60 hours for the game in my pic

about 70 hours in Metal Max Xeno (one trophy requires a single playthrough to be 25 hours)

Started Warframe around two months ago and I'm 300 hours in, send help.

Plenty of problems with Wasteland 2 to complain about, but clearly making stuff up is the best way to winge about it.

>You are supposed to put more points in the weapon you want to specialize in, to get better accuracy
>You need to step away from an enemy standing next to you to remove the accuracy penalty. Not fucking siwtch to melee.
Ok so obviously the people hating on this game are brainlets who couldnt understand the mechanics.

Slavsquatmeme Wasteland 2/Fallout 2. CIS citizens will understand most of its humor, others have to get into it.

What does CIS mean?

of course.

30%

Literally why? All I saw in my 10 hours of playthrough is repeated missions and awful grind.

>CIS
Commonwealth of Independent States, ExUSSR.

i was a melee build and i have played plenty of strategy games and crpgs to understand the mechanics
cry more about your shit game faggot
