Budget constraints, Bandai Namco has lost faith in Soul Calibur over the years as it didn't secure cosistent sales numbers and public acceptance like Tekken, unfortunately a guy from Tekken itself, Okubo, had to step for Soul Calibur VI to be made otherwise the series might have died for good but you can see the game was really made on a modest budget.

I do think that CaS could be wildly expanded upon and that it could make them a fair bit of money.

A resurrection is impossible with the kind of budget the game has. I love the game and a lot of effort was put into it, but the lack of stages and music and lack of polish in everything that isn't the combat really, really hurts. We just give it a pass because the budget was small.

The in-game tips for each character do a good job identifying their key moves. Your character's discord or 8wayrun subforum should have top move lists too.

To start out with on a character you can just have 20ish moves and one or two combos and you'll be fine, unless you're voldo or maxi or something.

Also regarding SCV I wouldn't say it was a failure sales wise, it initially paired itself with Tekken Tag 2, the Wii U version had to be made for Tag 2 to go beyond SCV; the only real failure in SCV was the general public reception, people did not like the new characters in general, sure there was a Pyrrah fan then and there, a guy who liked Natsu somewhere, but in general the reception was not good, it is no surprise SCVI just turned the clock back in time.
