That is my biggest issue wit Blizz - for someone who doesn't read their books, trying to follow characters and plot as based on their stories that are elsewhere and not in the game itself, makes for really bad storytelling, because it means I cannot play WoW or SC without reading a ton of backlog lore that is only in the books but that introduces characters or explains vital plotpoints and without which I would not understand a thing.

Heart of the Swarm was legitimately the worst campaign I ever played in an RTS.

due the insanely high volume of posts on Yea Forums its pretty much impossible to have your thread survive if it doesnt have a low barrier of replies. These replies are needed to bump your thread from dying instantly. The stock phrases you see are developed constantly, but the ones that do not generate enough replies die and therefore get discarded. This means openings like "she kills millions" "what do you think of X" and "now the dust has settled" get posted a lot

There's a lot of wrong or forced shit in SC2's writing, but this isn't a plot hole. Kerrigan absorbs the essence of a xel'naga, she doesn't become one herself, making her one of a kind. She then possesses power beyond comprehension and her new form can be anything she wants, but they simply go with the obvious religious imagery. And it kinda mirrors Tassadar sacrificing himself to kill the Overmind that wrapped up SC1; here Kerrigan sacrifices her "self" to break the endless cycle. It's a safe and slightly underwhelming ending but not an undeserved one.
