Rapier + Shield is so fucking faggoty and it's actually an advantage to MISS your first stab
If you parry and a rapier misses, he now gets a free followup stab because of parry recovery. Then he can basically get another guaranteed hit because of hit recovery. Trying to outrange him won't fucking matter because he ALWAYS has a shield and doesn't need to give a fuck about losing 5 stamina on hit. Complete fucking cancer and the devs are dumb as fuck.

a mauler was doing that a few days after the game was released and was wrecking everyone in frontline. I asked him what the fuck he was doing because his character model was tweaking out and he claimed upswinging, but the attacks always looked like an overhead.

the other dope isn't me, I understand the counterplay but the problem is how fucking shit ineffective the kick is. Shields should be a free guard against every interaction but kicking, especially only expending 5 stamina per block. Kick shouldn't be some shitslow trash that locks you in place and leaves you open if they have enough of a brain to hold S after their stab or god forbid drop their guard in anticipation.
