The relevance of 2B's design to the game is really overstated. The game really doesn't call attention to it. There's no "UWAAAAA I FELL DOWN AND EXPOSED MY PANTIES, SO EMBARRASSING" anime shit. The player can, if they so choose, gawk, but the game doesn't go out of its way to make you stare at it.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the camera doesn't excessively linger on her ass or anything like that. Any webms/etc showing that off are player-directed. That's really what it comes down to. It’s a terrible game, though. Mechanically it’s a pile of shit, both as an action game and as an RPG. At best you can make a case for it having a good story, which I wouldn’t agree with, but even if I did a story can’t carry a game all that far if the gameplay is forgettable trash.

FFXV is a piece of crooked shit and it’s even worse than Automata. There, now your boogeyman is out of the way.

Automata still sucks dick. The melee mechanics are piss easy style-over-substance nonsense with a downright broken dodge mechanic, your guns are even more broken (infinite ammo no-cooldown-no-reload DPS cannons that nothing interrupts, not even dodging, meleeing, taking damage, etc., which should essentially always be on auto-fire 100% of the time), the level scaling is pokemon-tier terrible where even without effort by the end of the game you are a walking oneshot machine, essentially none of the gear/chips customization offers anything other than flat stat buffs (meaning no build diversity, no synergies to discover, no tricky clever shit you can cobble together to do unexpectedly broken things), AND chips are randomized in cost which is straight up Diablo loot tier, movement is stiff and clunky with most maneuvers having an ungodly long windup and super inconsistent player collision data (jump and dash sometime, you can see just how far the player model deviates from “center mass” for each animation when they snap down like 3 feet instantly on animation change). The core structure is also basically “pad the game by replaying literally everything twice”, and the hacking mechanics wear out their welcome almost immediately and interrupt game flow terribly. Fuck even the fishing is just cast and call, there isn’t even a little minigame attached or anything. Basically every single sidequest is MMO chore-tier too.

The only remotely interesting things in the gameplay are the way the 2D sections are integrated (which is often pretty clever) and the hack-and-capture letting you control enemies with unique movesets (which are sometimes cool).

So basically if a game isn't Ys or DMC, it's shit.

Game is pretty good though.

Don't worry, 2/3s of the content makes you play as a mincing shota with tedious mechanics. Should be right up your Castro street.

Despite its looks it has some solid gameplay mechanics.
Story is a bit convoluted and the environments are a bit dull at times, but that soundtrack is SSS-tier music and pumps you up for bosses or makes areas more memorable than their looks.
