Hello Yea Forums. You're up way past your bedtime, aren't you? Hope you've slipped into something comfortable, I know I have. If you're new to the board or just to this whole vtmb thread thing, you're listening The Deb of Night.

Imagine this game with Sekiro's melee combat, F.E.A.R.'s shooting, actually being 100% finished in all hubs, alternative non-combat solutions to every quest (including the ability to avoid the final boss fight by siding with the villain instead), all clans AND offshoot bloodlines, plus the ability to play as a thinblood or a ghoul and (at least) 1 full hour of Deb At Night material and an album's worth of shitty goth songs for the clubs to play.
Nosferatu on Wednesday bros
Anyone who thinks it WON'T be Nosferatu when they even showed them in the fucking reveal trailer is delusional.
I'm okay with it. I'd prefer Lasombra
first for 2 is going to be a trainwreck
Toreachads rise up
>he did malk on first playthrough
oh no no no no no
>toreador on my first playthrough
>malkavian on my 2nd, and current, playthrough
Now what
it will be shit
anyone gonna bother with the pre-order? I usually dont but I want the game to succeed and support the devs. They dont have the fuck you money that other devs get and I fear VTMB isnt popular enough anymore and will loose traction
what weapons and abilities are you hoping for?
What's the point of costumes when you never see yourself
>giving money to Paradox
>giving money before you get final product
To what end? Devs already get paid for their work.
Is that costume intended to be a Blade knockoff?
now what what? Your doing it right. Good job.
>retro hunter outfit
Is that just Blade's outfit? Was there a clan that got Blade's outfit in the first game?
We'll never get playable Tzimisce. It's not fair, bros. The gameplay could be so cool.
>Sekiro's melee combat
Stopped reading there. It should basically be a simplified CAG in melee.
Sounds like you planned ahead user. I'm guessing you'll probably go for a Vent/Tremere playthrough before Vtmb2 launches, right?
>playable Tzimisce
lol why would you want to be a creepy deranged monster in a vampire game you weirdo
Hi Deb.
tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice tzimice
>Blade outfit without the sword
I mean, what's the fucking point? I want to see hands explode.
this. why the fuck are we getting boring shit clans no one actually likes like brujah, venture, toreador etc when we could have tzimisce, lasombra, follwers of set, assamites etc
>Blade is now retro
>The Matrix is 20 years old
Fucking end my life man
just played VTMB for the first time this year, it was a pretty good melee run.
Can't say I did really plan it. First time through I just went with handsome vampire man with speed powers. 2nd time though I did go for malkavian because I was curious about how the madness and insight would work out.
I just wish I could play one in the TT
Why did you made a Toreador focused on melee instead of Range? I mean, Toreador have almost the same abilities as Brujah but Brujah is better fore melee and toreador is better for range.
Are people actually hyped for the new game? It is pretty much guaranteed to be a shit heap filled with politics if this studios other output is anything to go by.
I loved the first one, but I don't have high hopes for the sequel.
I will support the devs once there is evidence that the game is actually good
I did have some points in guns but my Toreador was mostly persuasion/melee focused
hope springs eternal
As long as there's a chance that a studio will put out a decent WRPG someone out there will be it regardless of the high chance of the game being pozzed to hell and back.
We might get them but keep in mind they aren't even playable let in the current tabletop. Lasombra will definitely be dlc at some point.
I assume they were playable in the old editions?
I played my first and only playthrough as melee Tremere and it went fine.
Yes.
You're just retarded, they already confirmed there would be non playable clan members as npcs. Malk is getting in because nos is boring and Malk is an absolute fan favourite they would never ignore
Presence works well with melee. You can pretty much build any clan however you want as long as you don't fuck up by doing something like not putting points into defensive stats if you don't have defensive Disciplines.
Based. They finally returned the favor to Marvel's Blade Films. Blade ripped off VTM so much they straight up told one of the artists that the production team was using his artbook constantly.
Malk is boring and reddit as fuck. Doesn't do anything to change the playstyle either.
>beretta 92fs
the aesthetic fits but its so overused I was hoping for something different. The Calvary saber looks nice. Id like only a few guns and more melee weapons
inb4 in order to get the suit ingame you have to kill a guy that looks like Wesley Snipes
>Blade ripped off VTM so much
I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who has played and watched both, there are a ton of similarities. I wonder if the original took a bit of inspiration from it too, because the intro to Blade with the club feels similar to how VtMB starts and with The Asylum.
I'm really nervous about the sequel, i truly hope they'd don't fuck it up.
Non-combat solutions to every quest sounds lame honestly. There are times when even the smartest or most specialized of characters should have no other chance but to stand up for himself. Otherwise there's really no stakes to anything you do.
There's a pretty low chance of it being really terrible, but there's also a low chance of it matching or exceeding the original.
Yeah it would've been kind of lame if you could just talk your way out of a Sabbat attack in the original
depends on the gameplay
Well you could do it by tying different quests with different speech skill checks, like you can only resolve this one non violently if you have high intimidation or persuasion but if you’re specialized in seduction you’ll have to fight, this sort of thing
Never pre-order. Unless you're 100% sure and have played the game firsthand you have no guarantees any game is going to be good. If the pre-order bonuses are really good you can just mod them in later.
>If the pre-order bonuses are really good you can just mod them in later.
The 24 hour early access bonus is pretty garbage though. I understand wanting to support the devs but you shouldn't be supporting shit like this either.
I don't know. Preorder tactics usually just make me sad, cutting out content for the sake of securing overtly expensive DLC sales before reviews come out.
But it's still a bit tempting if I'm already positive that I'm going to give the game a go anyway.
I feel the common ground would be to have your skills influence the flow of battle in your favour. I'll use the example of Frank Horrigan in Fallout 2.
NOTHING you can say will convince him to let you pass his post. What can you do is convince other fleeing Enclave soldiers to join your own escape and fight him with you (Speech). You can disable the turret system that surrounds him, or you can hack it so they target him instead of you (Science).
Or you can just take him on with your own Gauss rifle and power armor.
I think that's a smart way to go about unavoidable conflict.
>But it's still a bit tempting if I'm already positive that I'm going to give the game a go anyway.
It's going to be on GoG which means no DRM, right? So it'll be easy to pirate and try it out before you spend the money so you know it's worth it. There's really no reason to preorder with digital distribution anymore. It only made sense for physical copies that could sell out.
>preorder weapons
Didn't they already confirm that we'll be regularly rotating weapons in and out with weapon degradation?
It'll probably be an option if you want to play that way but I can't see them not letting you keep a gun and buy ammo for it somehow. It wouldn't make sense with a preorder weapon.
you can side with lacroix though, even in the base vanilla game
this. also first person stealth and melee combat is absolutely disgusting.
a fuckin 15yo game have options for 1st or 3rd person. MUH IMMERSION is not an excuse to trap you in a shitty floating camera
I hope that we can keep a permanent hand-gun or two in stock anyhow. Better guns and ammo were pretty much the biggest reason to bother with money in the first game.
The Kuei-Jin too, although both are bad ends.
The finishing move animations and the like are going to break immersion anyway.
Not if there are consistent consequences to your actions.
>first person stealth and melee combat is absolutely disgusting
Thief is the best stealth ever.
Of course this won't be 1% as great as Thief, so your point stands.
I hope for Metro tier stealth at least if it is 1st person
if malkavian really is next, they might fuck it up. like, they just show a trailer showing a whole bunch of jokers while leto joker is in the middle subtly spoiling the story of 2 for us
40 more Wednesdays, at most. We can make it.
Don't go meeting the Final Death on me just yet friends.
F A T L A R R Y
>STILL no motherfucking gameplay
fuck that
im on the fence too simply because the saber looks cool. but I am waiting till I see some gameplay and learn more.
Is this going to be at E3 at all? I know it's still pre-alpha but I just want to see something longer than 10 seconds.
i hope so. it would at least give us more stuff to talk about after last clan reveal
They said they had a playable alpha when they showed it to journos, and that they'll let fans play it at PDX Con so probably. I guess it's a question of how playable it is, seeing as how they say it's "in pre-alpha'"
The marketing clearly knows what they're doing and the Clan reveals end some time before E3.
There's bound to be something there because a drought until pdxcon is not in their favor
The clan reveals end this wednesday user.
Will this one at least have good dress up?
Doesn't even matter
Supposedly.
Drawfag here - gimme vtmb ideas
A blood orgy. They're a thing in-universe as well.
This pic but with VTM player characters and holding wine glasses
>Come on kid we gotta get inside that building until it comes BAA
Was it intentional that Nines made a sound like a sheep as a wolf attacked him?
The Voerman sisters playing chess.
Bravo, Troika.
Andrei dancing like Pee Wee
Damsel femdom, of course
nosferatu
Well I wish I hadn't seen that right before bed.
>first person only
>dress up
I bet you are also expecting gangrels and good writing.
Just figured out that you can get headshots on Ming during her fight which do like 3x the damage even with melee, but the hitbox is fucked up and it's hard to land them consistently. I guess that's why her HP seems so high. And most people probably don't bother going for headshots anyway since it only works on the zombies before that.
