Is this a valid game criticism?

Gmod im guessing?

And no. How can it be game criticism when his negative points are about the server he was on?

No.

online interactions should have zero influence on your review on a game.

No, but I would say that's fair to say in cases like Dead By Daylight. The matchmaking in that game will set you up with anyone, so you get shit like having only 1 enhancement, while everyone else has 5. Impossible to win/lose and your enemies will taunt and grief you because it's a powertrip. That's a problem with the game and is valid criticism. Not in this case where everyone starts out the same.

When did Americans turn into such sensitive pussies?

Kinda, yeah, but “toxic communities” only tend to ruin games that weren’t great anyway. Overwatch is a decent game that’s ruined by every faggot with a mic screaming about team comp in casual games.

generally, some games legitimately have a shit community that will have a large effect on your game.

>"""enhancements"""
ESL

If you structure your game in a way that limits the amount of toxic retards that flock to it it'll get good reviews.

>going out of your way to find a normalfag's steam review
have sex

Only when the company dosent do shit about it
If you get a ban for being an idiot is ok.

I would say no but Left4Dead exists.

For a game focused on online play, it absolutely is. The community is important.

Yes. Gears of War is similar
>buy the game
>first time playing
>join a game
>don't do very well as expected for a first timer
>after the game, receive 4 different messages saying i'm shit, sell my xbox, kill myself
Toxic communities can ruin a game's multiplayer experience

if you sold your xbox and killed yourself how are you posting here

>people start a votekick against me
>spend the next 30 seconds trying to ruin the game as much as possible
It's the only way.

It can be. I love trash talking either through text or voice chat. If a game doesn't have it (Battlefield, Battlefront, etc) that makes the game less appealing to me. For example I like being able to call the person who just killed me in Mordhau a faggot, or scream at my teammates in Halo for not being as good as me and threatening to kill their families. A so called 'toxic' community is a huge plus.

Official/paid/professional game review: Not really a valid criticism although it might be something you warn potential customers about
My own opinion: Obnoxious fandoms are trash and absolutely affect how I personally rate a game.

Fuck Gears of War

>I scream at people like a caffeinated missed abortion appointment over normal gameplay events

You must be so much fun to hang out with.

I'm a spooky ghosts cursed to haunt Yea Forums threads and shit up your board

The matchmaking only gives points though and allowing players to have massively unfair advantages wouldn't be that bad if it didn't lead to people in every game harassing you in and out of the game, while doing absolutely bullshit stuff to stall the game. There's just something really fucked up with that community that you find in no other game.
