Because It was just another minecraft server. So much cooler shit was happening like "He will not divide us" or Gamergate.

I played during the 2nd iteration and stopped playing because it was down for months and when it came back it was redditcraft.

I'm one of the Yea Forums fags.
I really accidentaly stumbled upon 2b2t, I think it had a thread on Yea Forums, Come to play it in early 2011, around march-april. In summer of 2011 I became a regular.

Yea Forums did not left 2b2t, people come and go all the time. though It was a much small community back then, you still had people whom you never seen before. I stopped playing around early 2013, but still dropped by occasionally.
2016 was really the breaking point. I recently joined back, visiting my old base. But seeing all the discord and faction advertisements made me feel weird. I guess I have to admit 8 years has passed, and I'm getting old, time for zoom zooms to shine.

also, I remember one of the earliest fitmc videos, it was him reading a text talking shit about popbob, had 20-30 views. He had (iirc) few videos that were only watched by the server players, before he expanded his watcher base to 9 year old brats.

Serious question:
Why do so many Minecraft servers not allow modding like texture mods or flying mods?
Isn't the whole point of the game to build stuff?
What's the problem with being able to do that more quickly?

I don't know about other servers but on 2b2t it would make griefing easier.

2b2t had flying, circa mid 2011 but it was disabled for reasons here

if this was true then all of Yea Forums users would left it's own site.
