How much will I hate myself if I try to get into pic related strictly as F2P?
How much will I hate myself if I try to get into pic related strictly as F2P?
any waifus yet this game
I'm pretty sure there are none.
>MMO without the part that makes MMOs fun
why
why a game is not game with no waifus
You'll hate yourself around the time you hit endgame
F2p can still do fractals but you'll progress at a much slower rate
progress to what
game is fucking empty and boring
More on the husbando side right now in the regular characters unless you are into dragons. Zojja is still a vegetable, Eir got killed, Taimi is an annoying child, Kasmeer & Marjorie are lesbians, Rox doesn't have a character and is probably a lesbian. There's that sniping and Balthazar-worshipping black woman, but she just kinda was tsundere for one episode and then did nothing.
That leaves only the males: Rytlock, Canach, Braham and Logan.
>muh empty and boring
Try Raids, bitch. Or doing any of the retardedly grindy and multi-stepped item hunt collections.
compared to what? Old Dungeon Roulettes?
It's hours of content if you only do it all once and drops new maps, cosmetics and updates every few months for free. It's just as shit as every other MMO but without the audacity to jew you for your time.
thanks you i am not a gay where womans
I got my fill of GW2 after farming incinerator, never again. I'll play again when they add Dervish as a class.
a lot, might as well play any other free MMO
The F2P is more like a super long demo trial. That's all you should treat it as. It's not like the game is expensive, literally what $10 for the first xpac and $20 for the other? Obviously don't buy them if you hated the core game.
Only if you don't find a good guild and are really bad at creating goals for yourself. The game is kind of misleading when it comes to quests, your quest log isn't really what's on the right hand corner but instead your Story Quests + Achievements. Wish they would redo the entire Hero Panel to make it clear for people but oh well.
it's $50 dollars for both, gw2 ain't cheap.
Compared to other MMOs, it's definitely cheapest around, and both xpacs go on sale very frequently, $50 is current full price for both.
You must be trolling. It's $50 and he'll have to cough up time/money for the rest of the living world seasons.
How is highlighting that they go on sale very frequently trolling? WTF?
Living world seasons aren't worth buying for the most part, and they too also go on sale, but you could actually skip all but the latest season due to them being actual fucking trash. The ONLY exceptions being a handful of maps linked to like 3 episodes due to their farming potential.
Besides, as long as F2P people log in during the episodes, it's unlocked on their account they just can't play them until they pay for that xpac.
Still, the cheapest MMO around.
how is this game even still a thing
this might be a surprise to you, but there are loads of games out there that are still going on just fine without you
that doesnt answer my question but okay
they fired a ton of staff
are whales carrying it or what?
after you tried all classes it is just boring grind without a goal. thats in essence every mmo but others hide it better. gw2 is just empty and soulless.
they were fat
If you look bright colors and flashy, gaudy armor with a distinct hint of anime then you'll probaby like GW2.
But, if you want interesting stories/zones/characters then you should still probably look elsewhere.
If your buying the expansions, then its fine I did it for years. If I really really wanted a cosmetic I'd just buy it with in-game cash.
If you're playing it without the expansions, its probably pretty boring. The traditional world leveling isn't very fun, that is why they're very generous with level-up tomes and level-skip scrolls. Giving them out on character birthdays and whatnot just to get you to max so you can enjoy the real content. However, since the level cap doesn't raise with expansions and gear doesn't progress pass ascended you're mostly missing out on the better modern content, you could still enjoy WvWvW or RPing I suppose.
giv waifu
Doing exploration in vanilla is easy and fun enough.
But the moment you want to become more invested is the moment you'll notice the myriad of issues
>Story is flaccid bullshit
>Dungeon rework never
>PvP balance is never separated from PvE
>Class homogenization
>ANet cares more about cinematics in Living Story than fixing or updating old content
>Try Raids, bitch
Oh boy, I can't wait to put up with 9 retards to get gear with no stat increases.
>Try Raids
I already do, in FFXIV, where we get them at a better frequency with a class balance that's pretty well tested.
If I wanted a WoW clone, I wouldn't have gone to the game that marketed itself as "Not another WoW clone!"
Gw2 is seriously underrated. It is fun and has an easy to understand combat system.
They are looking for new employees. Think they had some form of lite-culling after that fiasco with the lead writer, and apparently having bunch of side projects that never lead to anything.
It'll be interesting to see how it changes the dynamic of their work. Despite the the lead writer being an insufferable cunt, the writing did improve considerably during her time. Also, apparently the guy who did most of the jumping puzzles was amongst the fired ones, which is something I have actually enjoyed in the game.
how is the pop?
I'm an MMO veteran, played way too many and I'm not really proud of that. I don't even hate GW2, it's just more of a singleplayer experience that you go through once, or when new content hits, then move on. Played like that, it's not so bad. FF14 has the same problems in regards to "replay" as GW2 does, frankly.
>the guy who did most of the jumping puzzles was amongst the fired ones
Wonder why. Players seemed generally positive about them
The dungeons are some of the worst content I've seen in an MMO, outside of maybe how bad launch dungeons were in Wildstar. Horrible, broken content.
>dungeon rework
What a fucking waste of time that would be.
Don't you have friends?
>vanilla exploration
>fun
not since the new player experience
