Is Hideo Kojima the Christopher Nolan of video games?
Is Hideo Kojima the Christopher Nolan of video games?
A hack that's never made a good movie?
i'd say he's more of a lucas
don't insult hideo by comparing him to a meme director
fpbp
Sounds about right.
Good comparison, OP
> miyamoto:coppola
made some of the greatest movies early/middle of his career, now just does whatever the fuck he wants, but still worshiped by his peers
> sakaguchi:lucas
early experimental success, then monster breakout hit that made him a victim of his own success and could never escape it
> kojima:cameron
very technical and strong attention to detail/polish. extremely specific throughout process of creation
>Nolan
Memento, Insomnia, and Dark Knight
>Kideo Hojima
MGS2 and MGS3
Nope, Nolan is a has-been with one more kino than this has-been.
Imagine having this much shit taste.
You're a legit retard. Nolan has had like two shitty movies. The 3rd batman and memento (which I thought was shit). His entire catalog is good - great.
i would rather say the quentin tarrantino of video games
dark knight rises is really really bad it invalidates the entire trilogy (and begins is still better than tdk)
it's hard to go back and rewatch his movies. they're very entertaining on first view, but lack that extra "wow" to go back and rewatch. kojima's games have tons of replayability vs similar ones in the genre
Kojima is not a footfag.
Why does he wear those weird glasses? Is he copying from a filmmaker or something?
I don't disagree with what you said about Nolan, the 3rd batman ruined the trilogy. Inception was great but fell flat at the end. He doesn't do 3rd acts very well.
Metal Gear games are the same and after you deal with the bullshit of grinding your way to the end, replays are an absolute chore. But I think that could be a flaw of the stealth action genre in general. I do respect that Kojima is doing his own thing and has big ambitions for his games but they never landed with me after mgs 1, always kind of a let down.
is inception the dark souls of movies?
The first 5 or so minutes of TDKR make up for the rest of it. I consider everything after that scene to be post credits.
He's the Michael Bay of games, and I mean that in a 100% neutral descriptive way
Why is Baneposting so funny?
i know you're memeing but that's probably the 3rd or 4th thing wrong with the film
COD games are the bay of video games, possibly post-2 battlefield as well
CoD games have too much severity and not enough humour for Bay. Bay needs sillier and flashier. CoD is more generic and safe.
It's a divine portent
