Why aren't you using ReShade's new Ray Tracing shader? It's compatible with every game and makes them look ten times better.

Witcher 3 side-by-side, I'll post more games
cool but i like frames
Last time I checked it's only in screenspace so it's inaccurate and makes light shift around while you move. Had it been in worldspace then I'd consider it.
It just looks like ambient occlusion and higher contrast.
Ray tracing is not ready for consumer level hardware .
I tried playing Mario 64 with rtx. Looks pretty amazing
It's practically just a better ambient occlusion.
i can't even be bothered with reshade because i don't really care about graphics
>Muh photoreallistic graphics
>Shadows are charcoal black on bright day
Maybe some other day
Imagine having such AWFUL taste that you seriously think the image on the right is better. It looks like shit AND it takes a performance hit. Truly the pinnacle of idiocy.
looks like shit.

NINTENDO
because I like to play in 4k?
I use a 1660.
Why does this make everyone so angry? There's literally nothing to be butthurt about.

maybe when the RTX is actually worth the money when 4080ti comes out and can actually do 100+ fps in ray trace mode
Link it then? I'm not paying 20 bucks for it.
not even that reason, patreon has shit security even as of today,
Right just looks like someone cranked up saturation up to 11 and added orange filter.
Looks like shit and can't even differentiate between types of material, for example in the first Witcher 3 vid completely matte flags now literally cast a glow as if they were a neon lightsource.
Not to mention the amount of rays is pretty low so it's noisy as shit.
This, another problem is that it's screen space only, so off-screen objects won't reflect light onto the scene.
I'd say it's great for screenshots though, you can edit out the ugly bits and get easy colored lighting where appropriate.
That does not use the RTX cores on the new Nvidia GPUs does it?
>another problem is that it's screen space only, so off-screen objects won't reflect light onto the scene
It's not, ReShade specially had a new update that can take offscreen information and take it into account, it DOES take offscreen stuff into account which is why it's even possible to begin with, it's not doable with just screen space.
I'm not happy with the effect but you don't need to make up bullshit about it you literal nigger.
Custom shader fags were insufferable, now they are receiving some pushback.
