Story has excellent pacing, world has strong theming, lots of variety, and just enough size to feel epic. Early game in particular does a really great job establishing a mood and aesthetic, and that's what people remember it for.

The IV part is so true...
I liked San Andreas so much more played many many more hours than IV,but that game really has SOUL(unlike V)

I think the map of San Andreas is the strongest point,no sandbox has come close

will never understand this opinion. i would honestly say it has the best written storyline of the series, the best missions, and even has a unique visual style/color palette. Those missions like the tollbooth mission, driving the bus with prisoners, throwing pipe bombs at the vans, were just awesome. TLaD is just oozing with its own style, I love the trashy safehouses.

If you really think V is the best GTA you are already lost mate

it felt like a downgrade to the base game and the slow formation bullshit made it even more sluggish than IV.
Characters were also less memorable, Gay Tony at least expanded game mechanics, added more vehicles, and the story was lighter in tone as opposed to dreary IV

people don't like TLAD because they don't like biker culture in general.
also Johnny was a little bitch at times and his death in V retroactively made him far and away the worst protagonist of the three.
I liked the DLC though myself, all things considered. I agree that it had some great missions and I liked the cast of characters too. plus all the DLC exclusive motorcycles and weapons were dope.

There was supposed to be a ton of single-player DLC for it, and a new campaign.

They instead opted for micro-transactions and hackers (and at the worst possible time too, since V was launched on last-gen systems first, when it should have been a launch title for the PS4 and Xbox One, two MONTHS before the new consoles).

LCS was the first one that let you sprint with rifles.

also, PC version is fucking butchered. Install silentpatch, widescreen fix, and skygfx for the intended experience.
