anyone know how to fix this?
will my game die?
anyone know how to fix this?
will my game die?
That's why you don't pull the disc out of the console from the edges, the middle pushes in.
oh my god are people actually that retarded
well, now we know why gamecube games are more expensive than ps2 games
but my games were stored on my shelves before this happened and they were fine
>No refute
>Just insults
>Even with a reaction image.gif
Thanks for proving my point
the only side that matters is the back of the disc, not the front.
How are you meant to know about the button? Everyone pulled the discs out by the edges.
It says PRESS on the button, only a young child could make that mistake.
there's also epic demonstration in the manual
Until the structural integrity of it gives out and sends plastic shards everywhere.
The plastic is old and fragile now.
Pulling the disk out was fine at release, it's a kids's console.
this is specially common with MGS
Those cases that the 2 disc games came in were the worst. You had to fucking wrestle with the case to get them out.
What. He was just surprised there were people that didn't already knew this you dink stop being so fucking defensive
fix?: none
die: yes
What did you do with it, did you store it somewhere hot?
>physical is superi-
only a problem with optical media, carts last quite some time. Even ancient ass Atari 2600 still work just fine.
or when you're not retarded
gc discs often times had manufacture defects that didn’t start to manifest until recent years.
Depends if the cracks are in the cover or in the disc itself. Cause I don't see any cracks outside of the blue of the Sunshine logo. If that's the case, it's fine.
Discs are just straight up shit.
No, they didn't. Kids who weren't retards and had good parents knew not to rip the game out like a barbarian
Well, shit. I just checked mine and disc one is starting to bubble.
Just looks like the screenprint is dry/cracking. Am I missing something?
i've pulled 1000s of cds out by the edges 10000s of times and this never happened
maybe you should stipulate that you don't death grip them
pm'ed you the fix bro :)
this
>implying 01s exist longer
What the fuck were they thinking with gamecube cases? It always felt like you were in danger of breaking the disc when you pulled it out.
good parents would've NEVER let a child anywhere near a video game you fucking lunatic
-or. Got the console? Got the disc? Got the game FOREVER (until the hardware gives up)
With digital, if there's no more download available, it's done, you lose the stuff you paid. They might even block your access due to a false positive & you're banned from a game where you didn't cheat.
What would "good parents" let their child do for fun?
Read the Bible you dumby
Read books, watch HBO on the weekends and listen to NPR.
>if there's no more download available
This plain does not happen. Piracy will always be the solution to any problems digital mediums have.
I don't even know why you're defending physical, you consoletards have been switching over to digital as well.
I always wondered why they went with rental style cases.
Damn. I take care of my old games and just looked at MGS after skimming this thread. Disc 1 looks like this.
So they let their kid turn into a social recluse and autist?
My parents used to give me a “reading quota” I had to fill every day as a kid. I told them that most of the video games I play were mostly reading, (pokemon, fire emblem) and they let me be a degenerate instead of reading actual books.
Sports.
Fuck my parents didn't buy that so I had to spend like half the goddamn summer reading like a chump every year
>reading books makes you a social recluse and an autist
yes video games CERTAINLY never made anyone retreat from society and behave in autistic manners
Playing video games doesn't exactly make you social or neurotypical.
Twin Snakes is pretty weak anyway
I didn't say that. Don't put words in my mouth or assume my intentions.
hopefully you have a reading disability or something
Help us out then. What the fuck are you saying?
>NO THE PREVIOUS CONVERSATION DOESN'T APPLY TO MY POSTS
so then maybe don't reply to people and start a new chain of posts? how fucking reddit is this goddamn board. if you aren't continuing a conversation THEN DO NOT REPLY
Didn't Kojima say that version was the canon? Anyway, my PSX discs are still good.
Speak for yourself moron
There are no strictly good or bad hobbies for children outside of doing drugs. It's about moderation. Banning certain forms of entertainment entirely is not the way to go.
>people used to put their discs back in the case on the spindle
lmao at ur life kido. keeping the disc in the manual was the top tier option.
What do you not understand about my post
Your parents sound like fucking idiots. Pokemon has less text than a short chapter of a typical book.
>refute
there's a button for a reason. I've never heard of people pulling it up by the edges until now. It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
cringe.
children should read and participate in physical activity and that's it.
television and video games are literally virtual drugs. and you're and idiot and harmful to society
I worked at a vidya store during the 7th gen. I'm guessing 360 discs were cheaply manufactured because the amount of games we saw with cracks or broken plastic in the center was insane compared to the other consoles. I lost a copy of Deadly Premonition due to it suddenly starting to crack. After that I started putting my games in CD sleeves next to the manual.
How does this shit even happen, anyway? Do Gamecube games just sometimes randomly combust, even if they're just sitting in their cases?
How do I lose this?
well, i feel retarded now.
>pulled it out
You're supposed to push in the middle hexagon until the disc comes loose on its own. Of course, that's easier said than done.
No, it happens when people pull them out of the console/case instead of properly ejecting them as said.
>he doesn't know about bit rot
>he doesn't have backups
not him, but what? The backup will still rot you know
