There's a bit of unused dialogue for examining stuff in Elysium that suggests it was originally going to be a bit more fleshed out and have locations like a car park and a old shop.
The city area that you can only see in the distance is way bigger than it needs to be for just that one shot, too.
Makes you wonder what that whole First Low Orbit Station would've been like if they had a bit more development time, it being given its own battle theme just for that one corridor before the final boss was pretty anticlimactic.
It had been sealed for a while, could've been disorientated or something. Would've been interesting to see it actually participate in the fight at the end, though.

If it's the only Switch game you're interested in, absolutely not. It's a extremely 'hit or miss' kind of game, not the kind of thing you should be using as your only justification to buy a console.
Not really. Depends on what you want from a game. It's about 200 hour for a complete run, so as long as you get one more game you want, you'll have made a good investment.

If you've never had a Wii U, the Wii U ports are all really good (DK is the best 2D platformer this decade, MK8 is the best kart racer, NSMBU Deluxe is alright, and there's also Breath of the Wild).

Throwback JRPG meant to appeal to retrofags. It has a decent enough premise, but the execution is pretty minimalistic and underwhelming.
Unironically, the mods won't do anything. Besides Xeno, there's constant DMC threads up as well that are borderline generals. Since this game's release, maybe one or two threads have been deleted for being pure waifu spam.
If i'm in it for the villains, Pyra, and the Nopon. should i go sub or dub? i loved the dub in one but i hear people hate the dub here.
Xenoblade 2 kinda looks like a crappy kickstarter funded game.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you don't know what that word means.
XC2 would have been better if either Pneuma were the final girl that Pyra and Mythra permanently become, or if Pneuma and Pyra were removed entirely and Mythra were a fully realized character. Sadly there's no saving Rex without him being totally re-written though.
Also Brighid is underrated.

The dub has its charms, but it's sadly a big step down in quality from XB1. The direction and quality control are just terrible (mainly early on, but there are missteps later in the game as well), the VAs didn't get to see the cutscenes they were voicing and it really, really hurts the dub. Some parts make it through okay, but some are really fucked up.
Pyra's VA is pretty mediocre, the important villains are really damn good but some of the minor villains are terrible.
The Nopon VAs are okay for main characters (I definitely prefer Tora's English voice over his Japanese one) but can get pretty bad for side characters. The main issue I have with the Nopon in the dub is the 'meh' vocal tic they added. It's fucking OBNOXIOUS, and going from the way XB1 Nopon talked to this is a real downgrade.
Anyways, you can switch between voice languages at any time from the menu, so it's not like you're just locked into the choice you make at the start. Switch between them and use the one you like more. I liked the dub myself because its problems didn't bother me too much, but I can easily see how they could ruin the whole experience for someone else.

-Better optimized/give the switch an expansion pack, so that the game doesn't look like crap when there's too much going on on screen with all the particle effects
-Allow Pneuma to be used more, allow Blade Nia skin for Driver Nia
-Since we're daydreaming, allow Torna gameplay to be used with every blade in the base game (would require massive work, giving all rare blades new animations and revamping a lot of things).
-Add Rex and Pyra/Mythra into Smash Bros Ultimate.

Unfortunately that probably would make casual players ignore most or all of them and miss most of the game's content, and it would also increase the dev cost of each Blade.
In the regular game you don't need to get all rare blades to complete the game, and completionists will inevitably get more than enough cores while doing the rest of the game's content to get all the Blades, I know I had about 60 legendary cores as left overs when I moved to Torna.

here's the obligatory pastatips for the newbros:
-Screencap tutorials because there isn't a reasonable way to view them again.
-Rex automatically gets fantastic blades so you don't need to give him much Blades from the gacha (but give him 2 or 3 good Blades)
-Use Pouch Items as much as possible, especially the ones that lets you recharge your Arts faster. Makes the flow of the battle better.
-On skill trees, you will see an ability unlock "Cancel a driver art with another driver art". It's imperative that you unlock this ASAP because it boosts the flow of battle tremendously.
-Also get the 3 skills that lets you start a battle with the Art already charged on the X, Y and B buttons
-Understand the Attack Cancelling mechanic, as it makes the flow of the battle better by recharging Arts quickly
-Swapping blades refills their arts palette.
-You can combo into and out of swapping blades.
-Most enemies will aggro you if you aren't 8 levels above them. And look at your environment before taking a step in the wild, or you could get your ass raped by a Gorilla 80 levels over you. But the game don't punish you for exploring, so don't be afraid to do it.
-Don't use too much bonus XP at inns unless you really need to because it can completely trivialize the game.
-Focus on the Driver Combo of Break > Topple > Launch > Smash when they will be introduced. The sooner you can understand this set up, the better.
-You can raise trust between a Driver and their Blade by repeatedly using pouch items over and over again. It costs money, but later in the game money is a non-issue.
-Raising trust with your Blade is needed to unlock the Blade's skill tree in most cases.
-Don't waste protocol overdrives. Especially on common blades. The game only gives you a few.
-DON'T kill the little Arduran in Torigoth until you feed it to Lv.99. He'll become the best Legendary Cores farming spot.
Feel free to ask us if you don't understand the battle system (it fully open ups in Ch.4)

Trying to keep these fairly reasonable.
1>Slightly increase blade rates overall, make legendary cores only available from sidequests (but they have a 100% chance for a rare blade)
2>Cut down the number of field skill checks and check the skills of all of your blades, not just the ones in the current party
3>Portray Pyra and Mythra as two parts of the same character, not separate people, and have the ending be them coming back as Pneuma instead of splitting.
4>Include Jin and Malos with the other NG+ blades
5>Have the ability to level down at inns available from the start of the game, not just in NG+
6>Make all the NG+, DLC and story blades just as full-featured as the typical rare blade - none of this 'only gets a H2H, no quest' or 'only quest, no H2H bullshit
7>A dub of at least Torna's quality, if not on XB1's level.

It's not as well done as 1, but it has the same appeal. It's not a soulless union inner-circle dub, it's actually got a modicum of thought behind it. Most of the issues are with the editing anyway, not the voice acting itself.
