Conquest had the best maps in the series and it was still only okay. Fire emblem needs more than maps, it needs good music, gameplay(like you said), character designs, and a barely passable story. We know the character designs are terrible and the artstyle is trash, at least.

Silver's penalty was a bit harsh but Brave penalties are nowhere near bad enough to not use them. Durability just makes you hoard all the good items until the end and eventually when you have enough money there's no reason not to outfit everyone with Killers and Braves.

Sure The rapier weapon is super effective against horce and general units, and allows you to double more often then most swords so you can use it on typical goons, or just save it for horse and general units or go further and use it only for bosses etc. That allows for more options then what fates does.

Its fun to manage weapon durability and you may not want to use up your silver sword you just got in that chapter and will defult to steel or even iron until you need that damage for big units.

I wouldt be able to send say, Xander or Effie with that kind of debuff and let them get swarmed by enemies. Its better to use iron or steel so they can delete them all, and then use up a healing item when its my turn again. Most of the combat in FE takes place on the enemies turn. Why would I want to make my self weaker?

You can use your weapons without worry because they aren't balanced at all and offer literally no tactical thought since you just burn right through that shit. It's fucking garbage. I didn't ask you what subpar meant, I asked you what "subpar" meant. Tell me what the leaker, no it wasn't event the leaker himself but his source, meant by "subpar". But again, since we have no indication of what that means, everything else you just said is nonsense. You alone made Birthright the arbitrary cieling. That has nothing to do with the leak, so stop being cynical until there's actual proof.
