This has been surprisingly fun, wish it wasn't so expensive.
It's 14 dollars, bro
>Tfw don't have the funds to pick it up on sale
It's on sale or part of a free weekend every other month. How is it expensive?
Also, I'm confirmed too much of a brainlet for Endless Space 2, I enjoy it when I start out but I get overwhelmed and hopelessly lost when I realise by mid game that I actually have no idea wtf I'm doing and basically see no chance to improve.
I just started and it doesn't seem difficult at all and i'm an actual brainlet, it's no harder to grasp than civ 5 with all the expansions.
I was able to at least finish a couple of civ5 campaigns in middle-ish difficulties, while I struggle with this one. Maybe I should give it another shot, it's been probably a full year since I last tried.
played about 10 hours of ES2 and can't get into it, but played EL for 150
What race are you playing as user? Let me see if I can help you.
Sell this game to me user, it just looks like sci fi Civ
Is Age of Wonders 3 worth playing?
United Empire
I’m playing Distant Worlds Universe right now!
Fuck turn-based games
Hokay. I like them militaristic. Focus on Food and Industry, and make sure to redesign your ships when you get new tech. Make sure you have ships for fighting and ships for orbital bombardment to invade enemy planets. You can easily get a snowball effect going.
Anything in particular you are having trouble with? Tech tree?
It's basically a turn based tactics game with a very simple empire management game tacked on. The combat is great, but everything else really isn't.
It kind of is. Just that the combat is better. Just watch a preview lets play. they allowed a lot of people to play a preview copy 5 days ago.
Yes, if you like this kind of setting. It gets a bit confusing at the start because you got a lot of spells, techtrees, units, abilities, buildings, talents etc. , but if you just keep playing it actually all starts to make sense.
The game is free to play for 2 days on steam right now, jesus fuck
Actually wrong, brainlet. The game isn't even out yet.
Bought the Supremacy DLC and was shocked at how good the Hissho are for my playstyle.
Redesigning ships is the key thing most people don't know about or just forget to do for 60 turns.
>Redesigning ships is the key thing most people don't know about or just forget to do for 60 turns.
Same thing happened to my friend in Endless Legend. The starting Drakken army was so broken good he never learned he needed to upgrade it.
Also it is criminal they didn't add based aztec birds to the base game, but at least it was corrected now.
I need Endless Space memes
Also where are my fellow Sophon mains?
>Sophons
I want it so bad, but fucking paradox interactive. Hopefully they learned their lesson with imperator rome.
I don't have ES memes, but some threads ago had one guy with an entire folder of Horatio
>Not enjoying big dick science bonuses coupled with big dick Orichalcix missiles
Prefer Riftborn, but here is something for you.
Thanks for the tips. I think I'll start a new game and keep these in mind.
It's been a while since I last played so I can't really say anything more in particular. I don't remember redesigning ships at all so it's possible I missed that completely.
is space combat still like in the first some kind of rock paper scissor ?
Oh god. I remember booting up the first and seeing that combat for the first time going "wtf is this magic the gathering shit".
This is grossly oversimplified. United Empire are actually fairly open in how you can play. I would suggest a more peaceful faction to learn how to administrate before you learn warfare.
If you are thinking about ES1 nah. You still choose an overall tactic but they do not counter one another except for how well your weapons work at specific ranges.
HELLO I HAVE HAD ENDLESS SPACE 2 FOR A NUMBER OF MONTHS AND HAVE AROUND A WHOPPING 5 HOURS IN IT
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY
HOW DO I PLAY
Picked it up a while back, finally got around to playing it and surprised how good it is. Never played the first one but ES2 is fantastic. Great, sleek design and gameplay very reminiscent of MoO2. Won my first game is Cravers too.
