a resident evil gaiden game
a dragon's dogma-like game functionally similar to dark souls
a game about dinosaurs
a horror game

Don't quote me because you didn't hear shit.

where is the remaining onimusha remasters you hacks

What support? Porting decade old games? They will probably continue doing that.

there's at least REmake1 and REmake3 but what else
also is capcom finally back

>Capcom Switch support
what? where? when?

So is Capcom finally gonna drop Unreal 4? About damn time.

I hope that they're saving these "numerous titles" in development for the PS5 and not some quick cash grabs because the PS4 is on it's way out.

MegaMan Legacy collection 1 + 2
MegaMan X Legacy Collection 1 + 2
MegaMan 11
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate
Resident Evil 0,1,4
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen
Okami
Phoenix Wright HD Collection

Devil May Cry Remastered announced for Switch

The only thing missing from Capcom is a battle network/ Zero Collection

They have dropped it since Resident Evil 7 , even DMCV was Re engine

They'll just port old games and they'll continue to sell

>literally all old ports
Oh.... wow....

Megaman 11 was Unreal 4 and it started development after both REmake2 and DMC5.

that's all the support they been given so far
there isnt a single new game

Attached: 1557331027433.png (960x723, 961K)

Monster Hunter Worldses

they still are the developer with most games after Nintendo

That's sad

Where's my fucking Dragon's Dogma 2 you dumb sluts I need to feel the wind pushing me

The RE ports are selling like shit

>capcom switch support

Who the actual fuck cares??

No one even buys them.

can't wait for ray traced chun li bros...

Switch owners

Who the fuck cares about them??

>switch support
they never supported the switch to begin with
fucking hell, they even came out and said they thought it would failed
first game they bother to release for it is some dog shit sf title that is older than dinosaur, then they milk it again later in the collection
and look at all the games they release later for the switch : ports of old without game cartridge, port of okami without game cartridge, porn of mh that took a whole fucking year to come to the west after mhw did well, port of dd (with cartridge surprisingly), port of megaman collection without game cartridge, finally 1 "new" mega man also without game cartridge
anybody buy capcom shit on the switch is retarded and keep asking to get shit on

You do

Are you ok user? You might want to call a doctor immediately

when was the last time capcom even released an original game?

they're just like western developers now, just milling out sequel ports.

Are you fucking stupid?
Seriously.
How fucking retarded and dense can you be?
Holy shit.
You know Xbox Live is coming to Switch, right?
You do know they're is going to be a streaming service of Xbox games, right?
You'll be to play these Capcom games on Switch.
Stupid mother fucking faggot piece of shot baiting cock sucker.
Go jump off a bridge and have e sex.

Dino crisis remaster pls

>streaming

>You know Xbox Live is coming to Switch, right?
bros what is this weirdo talking about lmao

Haha, no wonder devs are abandoning the switch in droves. Nintendo and steam are in fucking shambles hahagaha

>milkies realistic

Whoa now, lets not get too real here. I need my porn star+ proportions.

Reminder Capcom told Nintendo to make the Switch more powerful so it could run the RE Engine, which Nintendo did, and Capcom were still too lazy to port it over

nintendoeverything.com/more-talk-of-nintendo-improving-switchs-memory-and-capcom-targeting-re-engine-for-switch/

>Just give the system old cheap ports
>Broooo wtf why aren't you buying my gaaaaaame

I buy them, I have 6 Capcom games on my switch

they have released two single player games jsut this year alone

It wasn't quite as ea's attempt to claim the switch was a failure at least. That was a complete embarrassment.

>RE: engined Lost Planet fucking when?

Attached: 1558879799319.jpg (2005x1429, 1.16M)

Now that DMC5 is over they are very likely working on DD2, give it 2-3 years to launch

either you are uneducated or ignorant, can't blame you, alot of those games did get physical releases, the issue is switch cartridges are expensive and thus only japan/asia got said games and all of them have english support but they are not cheap

not all complete however as the megaman collections and resident evil colllections are one game on cart and the rest as dlc code even in said regions (because they detest digital and prefer physical), odd considering final fantasy x/x2 from square enix did BOTH on the same cart but used a more expensive higher capacity cart while in the west its one game on cart+code (and said code requires the game to be inserted or it won't work, preventing second hand sales if you just wanted x2 but not x1).

but otherwise capcom isn't showing the greatest of interest on the switch, the prices for the digital versions of re0 1 and 4 are fucked up, let alone nothing "new" for the system
>You know Xbox Live is coming to Switch, right?
its just rumors at this point since all we've seen is cuphead and nothing else
>Go jump off a bridge and have e sex.
um, wrong order user, can't have e sex when you're fucking dead
its the only way for the switch to get anything good, it just needs to be perfected unlike the attempt for resident evil 7 in japan, what a train wreck that was

>that reading comprehension
fucking hell, neither of those are original ip

>streamcuck

>lost planet ANYTHING when
they fucking killed the shooter version of monster hunter and I'll never forgive them and the shitty port of lp2 on the ps3 which pissed me off with its stuttering for 300+ hours

>Lost Planet after 3
its dead

I don’t think they’re gonna do another remake of RE1 until way down the line. Like after RE8 and RE3 remake.

Oh no, what will I do without overpriced ports

omg shut the fuck up
you anal prick
they are companies with highly regarded ips of course they arent make new ones

the only ones that make new IPs are indies

>the issue is switch cartridges are expensive and thus only japan/asia got said games and all of them have english support but they are not cheap
You know what's called? Being fucking cheap. All of these games were old port and they're being cheapskates about it

how was the ac odyssey streaming one?

how are they overpriced? most of them are $20

>Get some cool info about upcoming games
>LOL COMPANY WAR TIME
God I hate Yea Forums

I can attest to have seen several Switch owners acting like entitled snooty bitches that didn't wanted to support the ports just because they were digital-only.

>the issue is switch cartridges are expensive
this complain would make sense and acceptable if their digital only old ass ports are cheap
but they are still 30 bucks each, so while the cartridges isn't as cheap capcom is sure greedy as fuck

Usually a digital only port means they went for the cheapest route as possible and people dont like that

>REmake 3
>maybe something with Dragon's Dogma, though I still don't see the RE Engine working with either character creation or open world
>maybe a new SF
>new/remake of Dino Crisis
I don't know if I want a RE Engine'd Street Fighter, though.
Could go this way and I'd be fine with it, but something tells me they'd fuck up the bodies which would be pretty depressing after the standard they set with V.

Attached: 1531352850454.png (500x645, 481K)

>numerous titles
my dick is ready for all the mods

Attached: claire tummy.webm (1920x1080, 3M)

Good. Switch is a garbage console and Capcom doesn't need to hold itself back

It's more the fact that manufactoring the cartridges for the Switch is costly due to a demand on the market not as high as blue-rays or DVDs, It's just easier to put a ROM on a digital store and calling it a day.

WHERE IS DEAD RISING 4 CAPCOM

Man I am so mixed on getting a new SF, especially with RE engine

I really want something new, but their whole fighting game division needs turned over. I would be impressive to see a fighter in RE engine, but there is always something that looks a bit off in those games. Plus I think fighters work better when they go for clear bright colours which we haven't really seen from the RE engine yet.

IDK why Capcom doesn't get someone to port these to Switch.
If other companies can do it Capcom can too.

i mean eventually they're gonna release the upgraded switch that can run these engines more easily and by the time they do most of these games will be releasing

Tell that to the 50 billion old ports they put on it

Capcom still wants money

this would be acceptable if they also didn't charge them 30 bucks each for a goddamn digital only port with zero thing new added on

>no pubes
ew

and knowing capcom they gonna charge 60 bucks each for those as well, digital only of course

Capcom is a billion dollar company, the fact they made billions on MWH and RE but still cannot put out carts for some cheap old ports on a system but can almost consistently for Japan shows they can afford it, they're just fucking cheapskates

More like it indicates Yurop doesn't buy much their products, the consistency in digital-only it's mostly there.

>pretty depressing after the standard they set with V.
SFV's style was hit or miss, and the missed quite a lot. Even the better models get fucked by bad angles and lighting. The team clearly didn't understand how to use what they had, and you can fuck that up way harder when it is a realistic style.

Attached: 1547934239182.png (538x303, 318K)

why would you want that?

Well of course, the re ports are based on the ps4 versions GLITCHES and all, in fucking australia they won't even gives us the resident evil origins collection unlike america, dicks
I'm not too sure, but its clear a better streaming company needs to step up
the cost is the manufacturing cost, now the tricky part of the cost might be because of the fabled "switch tax", since supposedly any game with a physical version is usually competitive with its digital version so none are fighting against each other, and not until WAY later on can they come down, resident evil 4 does debunk that so...capcom are greedy
if they put out more games like dragons dogma I wouldn't have any issues, but that's becvause I like the game so much despite hardly touching the original ps3 version since I'm out and about more

America doesn't get physical most of the time as well

Capcom is a company of bums. Mega Man is their one truly great franchise and everything else is mediocre and overhyped or dogshit

most of the games that get ported to switch use Unreal Engine, RE Engine cant run on shit machines, shit that awful engine gives you tons of erros if you dont have enough RAM

I mean whe know the engine supports switch based on GDC they just havent used it.
But then again theres no reason to if something like Megaman has no benefits from using the engine.

Err wrong
T. Has more Capcom games than anything else
My switch is practically a Capcom machine

said no one ever
Capcom is one of the last good companies left

Capcom asked Nintendo to put in more RAM, Nintendo did, and Capcom still didnt port it

what are the strong suits of the engine?
Why cant Capcom use it to make megaman games?

Cause it's been like 6 years since DR3.

>Buying tons of overpriced old ports
Capcbros are so fuckin stupid

I think the big hits of the SFV style outnumber the bad, though. Chun, Cammy, Juri, Laura, Menat, those all look flawless.
Sakura and Ibuki got particularly shafted, sure, but like you said making it more realistic opens the doors to even bigger fuckups. They should really just refine what they have with the UE4.

>Mega Man is their one truly great franchise
overrated trash

>Say goodbye to Capcom Switch support
>not being an idort and having both Switch and PS4 and enjoy Capcom games

Attached: dfg1.jpg (600x600, 31K)

Because it still wasn't enough.

Which is crazy considering how fucking well RE Revelations runs on switch

Like it’s not the best game but probably the best tech demo of the RE engine

60 FPS, gyro, good use of the joycon to simulate the motion of the ocean
It all just worked and it was beautiful

Capcom has never been good.

>why wont anyone buy our shoddy ports

truly the mystery of the century

REvelations runs on MT framework

Dragon's Dogma 2 when?

Attached: 1551396787917.webm (873x488, 283K)

gg ez :)

seems like a waste unless they dmc megaman, and we don't want that
some of us ex-ps4 fanboys bought the switch to escape censorship, now I just need to learn japanese and I'll be free to enjoy what I want
>revelations
>re engine
WRONG, it uses MT frame work, same as re5 but scaled down because it was a 3ds game originally

"no"

Dino crisis please god please.

You can clearly tell Capcom wants out of supporting the Switch and is just purposefully sabotaging their own ports now
>RE4 is the exact same game on other consoles, no extras or HD Rumble or Gyro, 10 dollars extra
>RE0 and 1 have 15 second load times
>They purposefully ripped DMC1 out of the collection and said no plans to port the other 2
>Will most likely be overpriced as well

Attached: devilmayjew.png (534x635, 549K)

Worse part the official people of these companies buy their competitor’s stuff

Best believe most employees at Sony own a Switch and the president of Sony literally pre ordered Labo VR

>tfw idort

Attached: char.jpg (1600x900, 89K)

You now remember Dino Crisis 3 is a thing that exists that Capcom funded and published

re engine has only been used in 3 games
and it was built for Resident Evil 7

SF6 using RE engine would be godlike

>SF2 $40
>RE0&1 $60
>RE4 $30

And if DMC1 is over $10, then that will be overpriced, too. Porting only DMC1 and not even the trilogy is another baffling decision.

funny enough they sell dd on a cartridge for 30 bucks, but for some reasons re4 can't be the same and digital onl, and the 2 games are roughly the same size
and you can't really argue that they havent made back the development cost of re4 yet, that fucking thing has been on like 9 platforms, while dd was a pretty niche rpg after all

probably remake 4, maybe make it good for once

have sex

Nah, Warlords sold like shit

Wrong have you see RE Revelations?
Re engine works fine
youtu.be/s58Ei38aKIM

>buying Capcom games on consoles when they unanimously come out with stellar PC ports on day one and Capcom is essentially the only jap company that is willing to fully support PC as a platform

>Sony literally pre ordered Labo VR
>the guy who said games are a niche thing
jesus

Fuck off Capcom shill

some people said MT framework itt, some people said re engine
which is the right one?

Im gonna pretend you didnt make that comment and we can both go our own ways without you dieing in your sleep tonight.

Shitty hardware shitty ports nintendie.

revelations is not re engine you retard , Its MT Framework

>that fucking thing has been on like 9 platforms,

And that's exactly why DD is physical and RE4 isn't.

They are interested in pushing DD sales, RE ports are simply back catalogue revenue.

Great, more ugly ass face scans.

>news about Capcom making games using an engine
>LOL NINTENDO IS DEAD
is nintendo living rent free in your head?

Attached: switch shitposter logic.jpg (590x800, 191K)

>our shitty ports cost more for no reason

>everything else is mediocre and overhyped or dogshit
imagine being a switchfag lmao

its strange, re4 is a far older game, would have been more desirable for niche gamers

I wonder though, resident evil 5 and 6 are from the same gen, could they work?
you can literally google this but it is MT framework, same as re5 and 6 but scaled down in rev1's case

The problems go a bit beyond just the girls generally looking good though. I mean Alex's legs still face the wrong way, the game has a lot of random and weird ugliness. Especially the stages, I hate how blurry and foggy a lot of them are. Never mind all the clipping. It is stuff like that which you can kind of get away with in a cartoony style that would look horrendous in a realistic one. I kind of see it being forced on them though, that is capcom's current gimmick and the MonHun guy in charge now will likely try to emulate what he knows has worked for his series.

What i really want is them attempting a new style altogether. To me SFV's style always felt like an attempt to refine SF4's while losing that hold old Japanese art look. In the end it hasn't given SFV's look much of an identity, when SF4 already suffered from that to some degree.

Attached: 1535947467949.png (500x500, 125K)

I was talking about quality not cost. Nice non sequitur though.

Doom runs and looks like shit on Switch

RE8
RE3R
DD2
DMC6/5DLC
Next MH after Iceborne may be RE Engine as well, but it is still open to changes. These are the ones it is pretty sure they are working on, people have been speculating Dino Crisis, but i doubt it

>devs port old games to Switch
>port sells
LMAO SWITCH FAGS BUY OVERPRICED PORTS, RETARDED MANCHILDREN

>port flops
LMAO SWITCH FAGS ONLY BUY BING BING WAHOO, RETARDED MANCHILDREN

what the fuck do you want exactly? oh wait you're shitposters, you just want to shitpost about Nintendo

my biggest problem with them is they put two games on the box and only one of them on the cartridge

Their shitty ports and they cost more

the RE games have long load times despite being on cart. Thats pure incompetence

And if Doom wasn't on Switch you'd shitpost about how the Switch has no third party games

Where’s my Dead Rising 4 (Not Shit Version)?

Nah. Realistic looks make fighters boring, you limit what characters can do by a huge amount.

Attached: manny.jpg (1827x902, 312K)

They'll probably keep UE4 for their fighting games, but Division 1 pretty much adopted RE Engine as the standard

The really hilarious part is the fact that Capcom supported the FUCKING WII 10 years back better than the switch right now. They actually made new original games for Wii whereas the only actually new switch game is mega man 11.

>what the fuck do you want exactly?
New good games maybe? Ports that run at least as good as old consoles maybe? Oh wait your a nintendo shill and will defend anything they do.

>When Nintendo was developing the Switch, it went to various developers to get feedback, Capcom brought up the RAM, telling Nintendo it wasn’t sufficient for the RE Engine to work on the system. Other developers were echoing the same concern, but NintendoEverything notes that the amount of RAM in the Nintendo Switch (4GB) ultimately ended up being exactly what Capcom requested.

>Capcom’s Masaru Ijuin explained during the conference that part of the need for that memory is about optimizing the RE Engine to be able to operate in both docked and portable states. The Switch’s flexibility is a huge selling point for consumers, but it seems like it might be a big hurdle for developers.
technobuffalo.com/nintendo-switch-capcom-system-memory
capcom is full of fags, news at 11.

Except Switch doesn't have third party support instead of old ass ports and indies

But hey, at least Bethesda shitty games are on Switch i guess

>Huge plate of cinematic crap in front of him
>OH NOM NOM NOM BLOODBORNNOMNOM OH NOM GOD OFHONOMNOM
>Then continuous farts right in his nose for 2 days straight
>BRAAAAAAAAAAAP
>Thank you sony

Politely asking that you please don't ever post that image again.

Give me Ace Attorney and I don't care what happens.

Re engine has only been used in 3 games
Resident evil 7
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Devil May Cry 5

just by glance you can know which ones are RE engine

Wii was a record-setting console, development costs were lower (this including PS360 and PS4One) and Capcom wasn't busy recovering from the mess Inafune left them in.

Third parties don't wanna put it effort, they just want money so they dump cashgrab ports on it

Answer the question: do you want a Switch port of a game to sell or to flop?

Dragon Quest is comng out this year

Are you alright?

because they're being cheap, in the west many games that are 2 packs end up being one physical and one digital but in japan/asia some are lucky enough to get past that (in japan the collectors edition of bayonetta ended up giving you 2 cartridges while final fantasy x just gives you the max size cart to stuff them into), what sucks is biohazard origins ended up being code+cart combo just like the american version DESPITE this larger cart being available, quite a few digital only games ended up having physical versions (mostly capcom compilations) so my guess is those aren't selling enough to their standards to give that collection a double sized cart

I dont care.

Having enough RAM doesn't mean that the console doesn't have other shortcomings they might not have noticed at first.

There's a reason if the port of RE7 was through Cloud.

Switch development costs are probably WAY lower than PS4/X1 are and especially when PS5/X2 come out

third parties pay other people to make their ports

>DQ

Kek, everyone already played it

>I don't care.
why the fuck are you here discussing this shit if you don't?

>Didn't notice the other problems
Sounds like you're calling Capcom incompetent to me

I made my point in my first post maybe try reading it?

Not with all the Switch's exclusive content lmao

That's why I included other consoles. Resources are absorbed by their major products (RE,MH,DMC and so on) and it's not worth investing in smaller games outside of IPs already in rotation (MM,AA)

No one but themselves to blame for that.
>massive file sizes with only one game available physically
>$10 markup for no reason
>no new features from previous re-releases
>no gyro aiming or touch screen inventory

They did Okami HD great. Switch version is probably the definitive version to get, given all the control options it gives you. I don’t know why they suddenly decided to go full retard.

Attached: 331D743A-A397-44EE-B46E-2C2722AFEF76.jpg (634x475, 130K)

>developer is unwilling to gimp the in-house engine they worked years on to run it on inferior hardware and provide a lesser experience
>"boo hoo capcom are fags"
Just because id did it doesn't mean everyone should.
Maybe build a stronger console next time. Remember when the GameCube was the strongest console of its generation? Whatever happened to that.

please be Dino Crisis 2

Attached: L1SsYSGwlhoTs9JbUfwF4VqwxwWfansc_diej3WoJ30.png (620x609, 156K)

Then make a new Battle Network or some shit you faggots stop wasting resources in Switch ports nobody wants

How can Capcom say goodbye to Switch support when they haven't even said hello in the first place?

I'm not calling them incompetent, I'm saiyng that they might have had to sacrifice too much to make games run on portable mode, just like every current gen port on the console.

Is Ace Attorney 7 going to be using it too? I genuinely can't imagine what that'd even look like

Attached: oib6lbk59Z1rqp6teo3.png (245x300, 92K)

It only has the orchestral OST and the pixel mode, not really a big deal imho

I don't care

DMC5 proves you wrong

>>developer is unwilling to gimp the in-house engine they worked years on to run it on inferior hardware and provide a lesser experience
They did that exact same thing with MT Frameworks, why are they so unwilling to do it here? Maybe Capcom should stop being lazy

well they'll continue to sell poorly if they keep jewing people on shit

was she supposed to be hot?

At least Bayonetta 1 is only 6GB, instead of the 15 you need for each Resi game

Hahaha nice. I accept your concession

Ports are outsourced, cheap and generate stable revenew over the years.

Reminder Capcom remade all of Dead Rising to run it on the Wii and remade RE4 to run on a third world shithole console called Zeebo

If money is involved Capcom does not care about sacrifices

Probably not, she's a middle-aged scientist lady.

Is RE Engine Panta Rhei? Whatever happened to that engine?

So are budget games. MM11 was made with 40 people while RE2 had 800 working on it

>DMC5 proves you wrong
No it doesn't, Dante's legs never grow a few sizes to empathise a kick for example. They can contort the body a bit but it has to be quick.

in ps1 graphics no, you're thinking of ada maybe
but that's just limitations of the carts, bayonetta used 2 carts, final fantasy used ONE cart because the bigger one didn't exist, right now the biggest switch cart is 32gb

MT Framework Lite debuted 6 years after the engine/3 years after 2.0

or are you referring to shit like DR Chop till you drop? If it's the latter, the answer should be obvious.

Rumor is that it didn't work well and Capcom scrapped it along with Deep Down.

la goblina

so why are people complaining. Claire, Ada and Lady were hot and Trish was the only exception who turned out shit

Do you seriously think that DR Wii was well recieved or sold well?

Because people have different opinions, I guess.
To some, anything other than an arrow-headed anime character is ugly western trannies.

didnt DR for the Wii had a laughable amount of zombies on screen?

Nintendo straight up expects its employees to own at least one other big console. Something about making sure they don’t stay too cut off from everyone else.

wasn't trish supposedly based on a trans woman?

as in dmc5 trish not OG trish

it did but those few didn't fuck around

MT Framework was a flexible ass engine that could get games to run fantastic on ass hardware, like the 3DS games, why they are so unwilling to do the same to RE Engine is anyone's guest

No, because no one asked for a port of DR. People wanted a new RE game on Wii, and all Capcom gave them was rail shooters

DR for Wii was essentially an official RE4 mod using Dead Rising’s assets.

Porting a 15 years old game on every platform that exists is cheaper than creating something new from scratch.

RE2 worked on by 800 employees (most of which were outsourced companies or marketing teams) brings more revenue (money, publicity, merchandising, assets to reuse, experience using the engine) than MM11 or similiarly budgeted games.

what the fuck r u talkin about. R u trying to push a controversy or something?

Attached: trish.jpg (1136x640, 127K)

No, and I have no idea where you got that shit from.
She looks bad because that face just doesn't work with the hair she was given. Eva is the exact same face, obviously, and she looks much better.
That's a risk you run into when scanning real faces. Some people look better under certain conditions than others.

3DS games run on MT Framework LITE which, as I said, came out six years after the engine debuted.

>(most of which were outsourced companies or marketing teams)
Does this confirm re3 being outsourced then?

>Photorealistic Ace Attorney.
Call me anime weeb all you want.
It will look souless as fuck.

Literally the future you chose when you bought a Switch

Attached: 1558793657283.jpg (905x401, 68K)

RE5 on Wii would've run worse than DR, just like RE7 Switch would run like shit.

Oh, I was listening to Yea Forums again, silly me, you are right though, Real Claire does look much better than her in game model but that's how angles go

>new from scratch
You must not remember all the reused assets Capcom's 3DS games used.

Remember when Capcom made both AAA game and budget shit? Now they've gotten lazier and just port old games now

I have PC.
I will wait.

so no source at all :)

People wanted a NEW game, not just RE5
They could have easily...y'know...not made the rail shooters...rail shooters?

Forgot to add that MTF Lite / 3DS optimization was done because they wanted MH, one of their flagship franchises, coming out exclusively to it.

Hadn't that been the case they probably wouldn't have invested as much.

No I'm talking about models/textures and so on.

Ever looked at the credits of modern games? There's a shit ton of chinese companies in them.

>digital only

nope.jpg

>realistic
NOPE.

I would prefer next street fighter go full GGXRD or DRAGONBALL FIGHTERZ with Street Fighter Zero's sprites design.

There was really nothing else that could have had a downscaled version at that time besides phones

This all depends if Capcom wants to actually wants to put in effort making a lite version for Switch, considering the fact they fucking lied about putting it on the system in the first place

What assets should they reuse for non-existant Switch games?

Outside of AA and MM there's nothing they have currently released that could run on Switch.

Lad

They put a fucking 3DS port on the Switch. They have plenty of assets lying around

RE team was busy with sequels, Wii was a gimmick console and developing rail shooters was cheaper than creating normal levels. It's also wasn't the first time they did a RE-themed rail shooter.

Then you wouldn't be able to sell costumes

Downscale existing assets so it can run on it. Or is that too much effort for them?

>Cheaper
Why should i care about how expensive a game a billion dollar company makes if it only makes things worse for me

What makes you think they lied about anything, when RE7 did come out for the console?

Do you really think that, given the option, they wouldn't have made a port with a physical version instead of a 2k yen stream they couldn't release outside of Asia?

Then go full Senran Kagura/Marvelous in 3D design.

a 3ds port that was remastered on ps3/ps4 you mean if revelations 1

>that one fanfic of Ray and Mama fucking
One of the best nits I've had in over a year.

That doesn't make any sense. They still had to create levels and physics and have things o interact with.

>That's a risk you run into when scanning real faces. Some people look better under certain conditions than others.
Except if you're a man, then your scanned ass will look hot in-game no matter what. Just look at the DMC5 and REmake2 boys.

Whoa! That's a better library than PS4's future! :^)

So your ideal game on Switch is a sequel to MHGen, using 10 years old 3DS assets?

>But PS4!!

Rent free

What current gen game looks good downscaled on Switch?

Keep also in mind that RE7 runs at 60 frames.

RE8 is confirmed to be in development. After the success with RE2 remake it's obvious there will be a remake of RE3 too, probably coming after RE8. They teased on Twitter that they would make a Dino Crisis if a lot of people ask for it, so there's hope for that.

Because their objective is to make profit, not pander to a niche of customers that doesn't own more than one console.

dc4 better continue from 1/2's gameplay in some form or a hybrid of the 2 and not whatever the fuck 3 was

At LEAST use the first 2's characters

RE7 was a stream only version of the game nobody wanted. Capcom shelved any future plans of cloud games on Switch because people actually wanted to play the game fuckin portably.

And Capcom have shown they are complete Jews when it comes to Switch releases. They ported RE4 with no extras or gyro controls for 30 dollars. They are ripping DMC1 out of a collection and will not give them the other 2 games. They don't fucking care about giving the userbase good products and games. They just want their money.

Never played the RE rail shooters, but would you say that they are more complex than something like RE4 or REmake?

Only shills care about a company's profit if it doesn't benefit them

If it were up to companies all games would be 100 dollars, DLC and Microtransactions included

Mega Man 11 was an MT Framework game, not Unreal

Yea and that apologist mentality is what led us to RE4 with no added features for 30 dollars on Switch

I mean, look at this.
Both is made by the same company.

Attached: file.png (507x689, 597K)

>They don't fucking care about giving the userbase good products and games.

And water is wet, welcome to the world of capitalism!

> They ported RE4 with no extras or gyro controls

It's the same version they used for PS360PCPS4One why should it have anything extra? These ports are only developed to round up profits and the majority of sales come from them being sold for 50-75% off.

Oh shit really? I thought it ran on Unreal 4, I swear I heard it somehwere they were making the game in Unreal..

RE Engine is shit.

Change my mind. You literally can't

It's gonna be a reboot so they can not kill the series at 3 and make Regina not wear a bodysuit.

Depends on what you mean by "complex"

I played the rail shooters, and literally everything in the environment is interactable. That's one of the main mechanics. You shoot lightbulbs the lights go out, shoot a car enough it explodes, you have to drop shit on a boss's head, I'm not saying its up to those levels but it still required effort

And only fanboys complain about not being able to play games avaiable on three other platforms.

I havent played the RE2 remake, but how woufl fare the engine in Dragons Dogma 2, would it be able to handle a detailed open world or its only good for streamlined corridors?

If they make a Dino Crises game it will likely be a remake of the first. Hopefully it won't be a true complete remake like RE2, but more like RE1. The remake of RE1 expanded the story a bit, and added new places and characters. So even veteran players were in for some surprises.

Looks pretty cool, is there more?

>It's the same version they used for PS360PCPS4One why should it have anything extra?
Its base price is 10 dollars more than those other consoles. They were too lazy to add anything new in and they still charged more for it. That also means the sales will be more expensive than other consoles as well

>people actually wanted to play the game fuckin portably
well they better get a capable laptop or something, the switch obviously isn't up to snuff.

They need to license it for the OP in the anime.

RE2 Remake only did well because fap bait and
>muh impregnate me
meme

>Engine is capable of pushing high fidelity visuals while delivering great performance at the same time
>Shit
I think you might be confusing it for the Dragon and Luminous Engine.

I can call out when a company is being lazy when I see it.

Capcom asked Nintendo to make it up to snuff, Nintendo did. Capcom still didn't do it. If it still wasn't enough that implies Capcom is the reason the Switch is underpowered.

This is the type of multi-layered irony that just leaves everyone head scratching

>Imagine unironically buying switch.
No thanks Xbox is enough for me

Dinofags, would you want a Dino Crisis with fixed camera angles like in the originals or would you want over the shoulder?

I presume areas are smaller, and outside of your FOV, the game doesn't neeed to keep track of anything else. There's also no progession or design to the level themselves as you're (I presume) stuck following a straight line.

Compare that, for example, to designing a mansion in which you have to backtrack, or an arena in which enemies spawn and you have to run around/explore while fighting them.

With Gyro it’s actually the definitive edition

Ok retard

It's great for detailed, realistic, atmospheric and spooky environments.

Attached: 1533559557653.jpg (2100x4235, 2.16M)

>That also means the sales will be more expensive than other consoles as well

And that's most likely the puropose.

if its over the shoulder it'll continue the trend of dc NEVER being the same

>Capcom is the reason the Switch is underpowered.
How can you blame Capcom, Nintendo are a bunch of greedy bastards that sell plastic toys at hi-tech price. It always the same with them

nice argument
as expected from Yea Forums

>Capcom asks Nintendo to make the Swtich stronger
>They do, but apparently it's not enough
>Somehow Capcom's at fault for the Switch being underpowered when Nintendo has been making underpowered consoles for over a decade now

>grey, brown, black
>this is good

Yikes

It has branching paths once in a while.

But the most disappointing this some areas are fucking huge, you can see plenty of open space you never get to explore because you're stuck on a fucking rail

I miss nintendo's love hotels

Capcom asked for an upgrade in RAM memory, not power overall you retarded child. You're really going to pin the power problems of a tablet on only one third party?

>Capcom asks Nintendo to make system more powerful to run the RE Engine
>Nintendo does
>Its apparently not enough to run the RE Engine
>Capcom says absolutely nothing about it
If you really think about it, you can thank Capcom for it being underpowered

>Oh noe my Switch cant handle it therefore its shit

Attached: nintentoddlers.webm (1200x675, 2.91M)

It's almost like real dark areas are usually black, brown and gray. Would you prefer rainbow colors?

If anything they made MT framework run on a fucking sock and it still looked good

This isn't engine limitation, this is an artistic choice.
Engine has nothing to do with the colour palette.
You know this, why are you acting deliberately retarded? Do you act like this outside of Yea Forums too?

Unless dino crisis is among those, i don't give a shit, already got my re2 that I wanted(even though it wasn't perfect)

no one wants to pay for more during a fuckin sale

>>Nintendo does
No, they didnt, thats the point

they did

Yes
They did, its confirmed Nintendo did

>console war thread #1335235123532

Im honestly tired of this fucking shit.

That's okay, I'll just upgrade to the Switch Pro and play all of those games anyway.

Would rather have this than 5 pokemon threads up. So long as snoyfags don't get too uppity.

And you think that people looking to play RE4 on Switch will look up sale prices on PS4 or PC and notice that it'll cost them 5 more?

Yes and no
Yes they basically made a better Xbox controller and the Xbox controller is already pretty comfy
No
You’d think they’d copy shit like the headphone jack on that controller or mini keyboards

there is very little of it all things considered, I suspect most snoy fanboys head of the censorship controversy and jumped ship

I know I did
um, switch pro isn't gonna be a big leap, think dsi scaling

>Hey, Nintendo, make your system stronger
>A'ight, here you go
>It's not enough, it can't run my games
>Yeah well, fuck you I won't make it better again just for you, shit's expensive
If you really think about it, you can thank Capcom for the Switch even been able to run the games it does.

Or at the very least instead of consolewar shitposting they could at least report off-topic pokemon threads. Do SOMETHING that benefits Yea Forums.

If you look literally anywhere on any website about these ports you will see people complaining about the price

>switchers love ports! Haha keep buying them, idiots!
>OHHH MY GOOOD PERSONA 5 ROYAL HOLY COW IMMA BUY THE GAME AGAIN
reminder: Snoyboys are excited to repurchase a port of a game already on their console

Nintendo really has a lot of patience with third parties.

Except Nintendo already did it one time and obliged
Its more like
>Nintendo make the system stornger
>OK, its stronger, now where's the games?
>LOL SFII FOR 40 DOLLARS

Majority of consumers does not spend time discussing prices on video game boards. Even if they know about the price hike, they'll still get it on sale even if they could've spent a bit less on other platforms.

I won't make it better again
No one says this ever

Shut the fuck up you retarded console warrior faggot

Why third parties snubb Nintendo? Without countries Ubisoft, indies and THQ.

I was so hyped for RE4 but
No physical
No gyro nor fucking Wii pointer controls
For fucking 30$
At least drop the price or add fucking gyro you gooks

Majority of consumers also do not buy digitally only. If Capcom really cared they would have put it on cart but were hellbent on being cheapy the cheapskate

xda-developers.com/nvidia-desktop-experience-shield-tablet-2019/
Base Xbone/PS4 performance seems like a pretty big leap to me.

>Realistic
If I wanted real I’d go outside

Wow can't wait to not be able to play all future capcom games without my computer fucking up.

And these people are usually just a minority, believe it or noth.

The average mindless consumer will waste money on anything without thinking twice. How the hell do you think games like Battlefront 2 got to sell over seven million fucking units despite the gargantuan shitstorm surrounding it's entire existance to the point even the government was brought to the table and literally everyone telling people not to buy that game?

And yeah, you can say it still failed to meet EA's retarded high sales expectations, but that's still over seven million units sold.

Okay, stick with Nintendo games then.

Attached: 1520280237801.gif (800x371, 125K)

See

This
They’re definitely trying some voodoo black magic with nvidia to make an Xbox 1 S tier powerful Switch that doesn’t need a fucking car battery to not die in 30 minutes

Seething shitposter.

Attached: the nintendrone boogeyman is out to get me! stop making fun of My Little Sony!.jpg (4984x1736, 2.51M)

Not really
Hell they straight up trust no name indie devs more than the likes of Square or Capcom
Hell the Nin Ninjas offered Zelda themed Crypt of the Nercodancer

They chose well.

one of these better be a vergil standalone game

I can already see the endless shitposting about tranny faces and muh uncanny valley

>using RE engine
oh boy not fucking again
I fucking hated that shit, seeing it in RE2make was enough. Seeing it again in DMC5 made my eyes fucking bleed. I fucking hate multiple games recycled on the same engine, I play a different game to see different aesthetics.

Attached: 1502914296629.jpg (640x640, 46K)

Aesthetic has nothing to do with the engine used.

Last gen every capcom game (outside of SF4) used MT Framework

Are switch owners still expecting things that aren't old ports or indie games from third parties?

It's a port machine. The bulk of what it gets that's worthwhile is old stuff.

Ps4 is five and a half years old, though.

Third parties should put in more effort

You sound like a fucking psycho manchild who's never touched a woman in his life.

The problem with the switch is the same as every other console, nintendo withholds things to make their stuff look great

Ever wondered why nintendo made 3ds games SOUNDED better than 3p stuff, that's but one example

yeah, persona
>*buys pokemon red, blue and yellow*
fans
>*buys mega man battle network 3: blue and white*
are
>*buys fire emblem fates: birthright and conquest*
such
>*buys yo-kai watch blasters: red cat corps and white dog squad*
suckers!

nintendo should put more effort into their consoles, rather than using the cheapest outdated parts they can find and slapping a gimmick on to justify it.

Switch's hardware is newer than PS4 and X1's retard

i didn't like onimusha 3

>believing "rumors" and "leaks," especially ones involving nintendo
>shilling for streaming games as a service

Attached: 1551921991073.jpg (568x491, 69K)

nintendo has a different business model infact just about everything after the n64 is about the gimmick, the fact the consoles are cheaper are a better solution for consumers

its working in japan now that the switch has overtaken the ps4's lifetime sales, means fuck all elsewhere though

Let me guess, 2 or Dawn of Dreams is your favorite?

It only manages to do so via graphical tricks. I'm sure you all seen that webm where Leon is moving between two rooms and the lights dim/brighten everywhere during transitioning. It's still good but it's really not as powerful as you might think it is.

PORTABLE ports, don't leave out such massively important details.

>the fact the consoles are cheaper are a better solution for consumers
they aren't. the switch is the same price as a ps4 slim.

shit ports don't magically become good just from playing them on a tablet with two-hour battery life, terrible controls, and the worst possible framerate and resolution.

thats now user, just wait for the switch lite

>shit ports don't magically become good just from playing them on a tablet with two-hour battery life, terrible controls, and the worst possible framerate and resolution.

Thats why you will always be a graphics fag. I can understand it, but I will never support it. So no, actually, gaining the ability to be ported anywhere is a actually good and important skill for a device to have. Of course, people with "questionable lifestyles" don't care about this, cause they already don't leave their houses enough for it to be warranted.

t. posting this from my computer while playing 3D World on my Wii U, Kingdom Battle on my Switch, and listening to the TV turned on behind me at the same time.

In fact, don't even bother quoting me back if you cannot even do four things at the same time. People who only play one video game at a time are beneath me. Too casual to even reply to.

they're all pretty flawed but have their own merits
the reason I dislike 3 is mostly the story and setting
seeing samonosuke in a french family's house or in a car ride is fucking stupid, It's hard for me to believe people like 3
there are many sequences that take way too fucking long like pushing the boulder and the long tunnel in the sewers which takes at least 2 minutes to run through etc.
the strongest thing 3 has is the underwater demon temple or whatever that plays with time and moving back and forth and it's combat. if the whole game was like that maybe I'd enjoy it. it has numerous other problems, it's such an interesting series though because I feel like they never really put too much in it, feels kinda weird
if I really had to pick one, I'm most fond of 2 but I literally never want to play it again
I have to do one more playthough to unlock the puzzle realms but I'd be so bored, the combat is easy and while chain issens are satisfying they're horrible design. 3 isn't well designed either, almost none of the games are except maybe 1 due to it's simplicity

the story trailer that sekiro had before release gave me an onimusha vibe or at least what I would like for an onimusha reboot

Still waiting on that gamepad-less Wii U that Yea Forums promised me. Where is it?

This post makes me sad.

Attached: 1557760852478.jpg (396x383, 23K)

i feel such a specific disgust reading this, it's subdued, more just of a type of disgust that makes me sad

And? The engine is still pushing high fidelity visuals while maintaining great performance, whether it does that via tricks or not literally doesn't matter.

>make lazy ports
>shocked no one buys them

Not everyone has the need to eat trash like you.

First you had my attention, now you have my erection. Gonna need a link.

tricks are sort of good if you ask me user
movies use camera trick, artist use "tricks". and if you wanna get super literal, everything you see in games has no width, all the walls are just 2d with collision
it's an idea I have a bit of a hard time explaining but the only time tricks are bad is when the world doesn't fit together (bioshock infinite or dark souls 2) or like you said that webm of leon. still if they come up with a trick to fix that or replace it with a better trick than it would be fine, there's no need to simulate everything. raytracing is nice and all but I'd prefer just using these techniques in smart ways instead of trying to make hyper-realistic shit and apply it over the whole game
it's one of the reasons why I think the original shadow of the colossus is ahead of it's time and genius, it's just unfortunate they didn't use less demanding tricks or wait for the ps3

The problem with games using tricks vs. movies and magicians is that the person in control is the one being tricked. With movies we're shown exactly what they want to show us, as an audience we can't mess with it. In a video game, we're the ones moving the camera, we can look behind the curtain, and that becomes a problem when the tricks are thinly veiled like dramatic lightning changes when passing through a door.

But I'm not the guy who called the engine shit, I enjoyed RERE2 and am looking forward to more games on its engine, just wish things were handled bit better.

>Thats why you will always be a graphics fag.
i'm not a graphics fag. i'm just also not a shit-eater who's willing to accept the worst versions of games at 20fps and 480p just for the sake of MUH PORTABILITY.
at least with the 3ds, you could look past the shit resolution because it was getting mostly its own handheld-style games and not pretending to be a "home console" too.
>t. posting this from my computer while playing 3D World on my Wii U, Kingdom Battle on my Switch, and listening to the TV turned on behind me at the same time.
just because you're a zoomer whose attention span is too low to focus on one game at a time doesn't mean everyone is in the same boat.

But does that door thing happen all the time? Every time I see people using the lighting thing, it's only ever tht one webm of Leon on the main hall going into the office.

Technically it does, every room has its own lighting settings that are transitioned to when you cross the threshold. But the door between the main hall and the squad room is one of the biggest changes between two making it the most jarring.

They can't make it better because Nvidia can't make a cpu to save their fucking lives.

yeah but that's more of trick that failed, I genuinely don't think it's really an issue
like sure we know about skyboxes but even when you know that every game is doing it it's not a problem
obviously games are harder to craft than movies since people will fuck with and try to look through every crack but I'm not sure it matters
for example, in RE2 when you hold a shotgun and press against the wall leon holds it upwards as to prevent it clipping through the wall. however if you shoot it will still go in front of you instead of above where the shotgun is aiming. this is something you have to intentionally do and nitpick at, and there's no perfect solution. you either have to let it clip through the wall, make it so you collide before you get close enough or make it so the shot will go where the shotgun is physically aiming. these are all worse than the solution they chose. the only real perfect solution is make everything hyper-realistic, give everything realistic physics and collision and somehow give you full control over your movements. it's just stupid to get lost in pointless arguments rather than the big picture
