>Grasshopper Manufacture revealed that Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will no longer be a Switch exclusive as the game will be heading to PS4 and Steam. There’s no information as of yet for when to expect the game to arrive on these platforms, but it could be soon. Grasshopper Manufacture may decide to announce that information during E3 week or hold off, as well as letting us know what to expect in these ports of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.
What was the fucking point of advertising it as a Switch exclusive when it was only for 4 months?
They were hoping for a boost due to the exclusivity bonus, but companies pulling exclusives shortly after launch has killed that incentive for a lot of consumers and TSA was a game with niche appeal to begin with. So now the self-fulfilling prophecy continues and the game goes multiplat, further de-incentivising "exclusive" buy ins.
Hopefully people actually fucking buy it this time. It's great.
Dylan Lee
This whole thing makes the NMH3 tease at the end of TSA seem like an empty promise.
Zachary Butler
You know, I don't give a single shit. Play the game, it's very good.
Matthew Reyes
i keep telling my friends to buy killer7 on steam but they're too stupid and gay to do it
Liam Turner
Also, I fucking hate how this game is always shrouded in shitposting. Thankfully with the DLCs we got some peaceful threads.
Kayden Green
If you buy it for them it'll sit forever uninstalled in their items, assuming they even bother to accept the gift.
Eli Lopez
Killer7 is a god damn easy game though. Very insulting, even.
Henry Sanchez
What are the chances of TSA doing well on PC and PS4 but the actual NMH3 still being announced as a Switch exclusive like this one? Jap companies seem to love pulling this shit where they port former exclusive to a system or systems, it does well, but the sequels are still temporary exclusives.
Sega us the master of doing this shit. They love touting about how the PC ports of their jap games do well, but they always come months after the original release.
Angel Hill
>Hopefully people actually fucking buy it this time. Delusional. This is going to be NMH Heroes' Paradise 2: Electric Boogaloo. The people that weren't interested already aren't going to become interested and most purchases will be fans double dipping for new content. NMH just doesn't sell. >always Where have you been the past few months? Leading up to release we had tons of shitposting but the threads have been comfy since. Now we're going to get more console shitposting at the very least until E3
Levi Gutierrez
>but the actual NMH3 still being announced as a Switch exclusive like this one It's possible. All the background suggests Nintendo still has heavy interest in NMH, they're still listed as a major client by GhM on the company factsheet and Suda has been very adamant that TSA isn't a numberee entry. I can't figure out who else would have stepped in after a decade and Nintendo already kickstarting the revival
Henry Cook
I can understand how your friends feel. Wacky artsy fartsy game like Killer7 never interest me. Maybe they just want to play vidya instead of watching an anime movie. Don't blame people for your shit taste, user.
>What are the chances of TSA doing well on PC and PS4 but the actual NMH3 still being announced as a Switch exclusive like this one? Although it's almost guaranteed that NMH3 is Switch exclusive (temporary, it's UE4), since Nintendo giving the game a push in distribution head-on always helps; I reeeeally doubt TSA will make even average numbers on Steam and PS4. I'd say that it'll do even worse than the Switch on both platforms altogether. However, since there is no actual cost to porting with UE4, any sale is within profit margins. Win win?
The 69 shit and people saying "you only like it because you're fanboys" sticked well after release. Post-DLC threads were peaceful, as I've said.
Ryder Moore
Cope more nintendie, if NMH3 really happens it will be published be Ubisoft (Suda already teased this), if Nintendo was really interested in the franchise they would have funded both TSA and NMH3 themselves.
I'm miffed. The thread that reached post limit before the stream yesterday was great. And then not only did we not get any news on the FSR remaster, we got tons of shit posting about the port
Carter Gomez
Why do you ask people to cope when we all know nobody in PS4 is going to buy it? If you at least have a PC gamer i would understand
Joseph Edwards
Really wish they ported NMH1 and 2. I've played it back in the day on my Wii but my knowledge about the story and plot for TSA is hazy, and the emulator has all sorts of issues for executing enemies.
Zachary Diaz
I was very disheartened by, not only the lack of FSR (they made t-shirts for fuck's sake!), but the questions the presenter picked up were about Lollipop Chainsaw and NMH1-2, games with pretty solid translations already. No mentions of FSR at all. Very bad.
Justin Thomas
The only thing I'm really worried about is console war shitposting in Suda threads.
Still mad he didn't read my tweet about an ost release and asked the lc question. Suda's response actually made me feel like ports of 1+2 aren't happening though
Asher Campbell
Probably didn't sell well enough to warrant exclusivity
Not every game sells like hotcakes like Nintendo friends love to claim
Aaron Murphy
They prooobably are but he's not allowed to say it, so he gave the same cookie cutter response he always gives. The fucking Lollipop Chainsaw question though, not only people like that game but can't realize the game's owned by both Kadokawa and Warner, making it hell on earth to deal with.
Xavier Nguyen
Dualshockers reported last year that the game was timed exclusive and none of you believed them
Kevin Reed
I am a idort and honestly feel angry at suda for this, he said multiple times that Travis was a nintendo character, also the fact that Nintendo help in a lot of things and was close in the development, or how he hate NMH port of xbox360 and PS3, and all the nintendo references in TSA, feels bad man, not even a year has pass At least people in steam would buy it but PStrannies won't buy it but also they won't shut up with console war shit now.
Well i think NMH3 is a Switch exclusive yet, but who knows in the future
Cooper Butler
If anything NMH3 will be on everything but switch.
Easton Allen
What makes you think NMH3 will be Switch exclusive when this shitty game couldn't be exclusive in 6 months?
Xavier Jenkins
>people like NMH now Weird shit
Andrew Ward
Jesus, user, let it go. You shouldn't be so fucking attached to some arbitrary thing about shit being "a Nintendo character" or not.
Oh man
Mason Williams
Ignore the fact ps4 versions sell more than PC and xbox combined being the norm
Christian Bennett
Hook your wiimote up with a blutooth dongle. You can buy offbrand wiimotes and nunchucks for like $15 new, though I bought a first-party nunchuck for my existing wiimote for like $4. Blutooth dongle should not set you back more than $10.
Michael Young
NMH always had a big push compared to other games directed by Suda. Critics raved it (for some reason), it sold moderately well, marked how the games by Grasshopper would play for some good 10 years...
Jeremiah Roberts
>I'm an idort >continue to seethe and expose yourself
Caleb Taylor
I didn't need anything extra back when I had my controler, my PC has some bluetooth thing that lets me just connect it and play just like a Wii, but I don't have my controller anymore and I am not going to buy one just for two games.
Logan Reed
Delusional The fact that he has always see NMH3 as a Swich game, he is most like it using Gyro controls and would ask nintendo for help, makes me sale that now i can't trust his word
Jayden Fisher
I would also get angry if halo gets on switch or some shit like that user Also PS4 is shit and i just buy it to play p5 and Spider-Man
Jacob Phillips
NMH has been on Sony platforms before, it's never sold much because it's a pretty mediocre series.
Seethe bitch. As if multiplatform games being ps4, xbox, and PC isn't the most common.
Levi Cook
Where's the PC version, Suda?
Mason Rogers
Then live with playing it emulated and not being able to execute enemies. A $15 solution isn't too bad.
Nathaniel Long
This
I don't understand why Nintenfriends are getting too emotional and angry about this shitty series arriving to more platforms
Angel Gomez
It's also not his fucking game.
Joshua Hughes
You think ps4 is shit, yet probably own both a shitch and xbutt, kek. Thanks for beta testing TSA, I'll probably game share it so I don't have to pay for it.
Asher Sullivan
meh if that happens i won't be buying TSA then.
Hudson Green
No they didn't. They one snippet in an interview where someone asked if it was exclusive and Suda said maybe. Even Suda hates that port
Eli Ross
See Nintendorks are just in the bargaining stage. The game is published by ubisoft and they know ps4 is where the money is at
Angel Wilson
Let's not get carried away, he was a "creative director" and producer, he can very well talk about it and the production of sequels with good authority. The problem is with the fans that think that it's a game directed by Suda and think he has executive capacity (or any real will) to perform on the games and won't ask about games he did direct, like say, FSR. Blame the shameless advertising after NMH.
It's falseflagging at its finest, though. Most complaints after the reveal is that it would bring consolewar shit. Ding ding ding.
Camden Fisher
Which is code for timed exclusive. Show me one timed where a dev didn't give a straight answer and it was exclusive
Asher Parker
>snoyfags shitpost travis strikes again >"BASED this game was good all along!" yeah fuck off you aren't going to buy or play it
Brayden Diaz
I'm not entirely disagreeing with you. It's just not surprising that so many people overlooked it between the game's initial reception and DS not emphasizing that point.
Daniel Sanders
I did say IF the game is exclusive i won't buy it, Even when its timed exclusive. When the exclusive is done for NMH3 then i'll buy both TSA and NHM3 for PC. Also hoping NHM1 and 2 comes to PC.
Austin Collins
Who is distributing TSA on the other platforms, though? NISA again? Grasshopper themselves?
>SUDA says buy this to save the series >puts Epona in game with Link shirts >baits fans into supporting the worst version >LOL JK I HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY, ALREADY PORTING IT TO OTHER PLATFORMS :^)
Josiah Butler
Imagine being this retarded
Cooper Cook
At this point I don't fucking doubt it, I'm so sick of being betrayed by this fucking guy.
Carson Cox
I didn't mean physical release, but digital distribution and so on. For example, NISA distributed K7 on Steam.
Also for fuck's sake stop the shitposting already. What a bad thread.
Cameron Jackson
Don't forget, Steam and PS4 users still get the full package, including additional tees. Suda pulled one over their heads.
Chase Turner
>I am an idort but >Nintendo Nintendo Nintendo so helpful towards developers, Travis rightfully Nintendo character :) >FUCK PSTRANNIES
Jacob Lewis
This is all SUDA cares about >get his fans to VEHEMENTLY DEFEND THE GAME FROM CRITICS AND OTHER PLATFORMS >RELEASES IT ON OTHER PLATFORMS TO THE APPLAUSE OF CRITICS AND OTHER PLATFORMS AT THE EXPENSE OF HIS FANS NOW AWARE THE GAME IS GOOD VIA HIS FANS Fucking sick-minded marketing. Worse than EA at this point,
Jose Nelson
Just imagine being mad about a shitty low budget mediocre game arriving to more platforms
They'll probably self distribute digitally. That's how it was on switch
Kayden Diaz
This shit really fucking pisses me off. I have a budget for games, and I only buy games on Switch if it's an exclusive because otherwise you're always getting the worst version of the game. If you announce the game to be exclusive, keep it fucking exclusive, because some of us actually do get buyers remorse.
Luis Diaz
Its possible. This smells of Sony paying for the multiplat, and they can pay for much more than that
Oliver Lee
>Sony paying for some shitty niche game
L O L
Aaron Sanchez
Tee bee ach I don't care for this game but can't help but enjoy the schadenfreude
Leo Gutierrez
And now, conspiracy theories. Shut up already.
Kayden Wood
>Sony pays for them to release a game on several platforms Rent free nigger
Cameron Smith
I think it's less about "muh Switch exclusives!" and more the fact that everyone knows now that multiplats run far better on anything but the Switch. No one would've bought TSA on Switch if they knew it was coming out on PS4 or PC, unless Switch was all they had. Now those of us that was TSA at a solid 60fps need to double dip and the game was barely worth it the first time around.
Michael Thomas
The Siren Shirt was clever foreshadowing.
Luke Baker
B-but muh portability!!
Daniel James
The framerate is already solid on TsA, if anything it needs a resolution bump
Luke Cooper
What's up with all the console-war shit in this thread? What are you all? Gradeschoolers? You should chase the games, not defend the platform.
Cameron Sanchez
nno no NO NOOOOO SWITCHBROS THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING THEY'RE TAKING EVERYTHING IT'S NOT FAIR
Liam Hill
>The framerate was already solid on TSA Dude, go see a fucking optometrist.
Connor Bell
Nintentards are angry because they unironically thought that a shitty low budget game would remain exclusive for their tablet
The game most likely bombed on Switch so now they're porting it to recoup the money
Robert Richardson
What shirts do you want to see in the PS4 and Steam versions? Doom Myst Half-Life Ape Escape Gravity Rush God of War
Jaxson White
As a person who posted that it being multiplat would make for better threads and more people playing, I'm a bit ashamed.
Daniel Smith
Then they never should've called it an exclusive. An exclusive isn't "You're the only ones getting the game UNLESS we don't make enough money then all bets are off". An exclusive is exactly that, exclusive rights to the game forever unless they change the game in some way that warrants a new version. If Grasshopper thought for a second that other systems might get the game if they don't make enough cash, they never should've used the word exclusive.
Bentley Roberts
Fuck off shill, you're the one causing the problem. It's not your fault these people are retards. Don't feel bad.
Anthony White
Exclusive spiderman shirts. I'll wear the peni parker one
Xavier Bell
People are just fucking pissed that they bought the worst version of the game, and rightfully so. The game was barely worth the money the first time around and now if we want to play it with slightly cleaner graphics and a smoother frame rate we need to double dip. It's bullshit.
I agree, nintentards need to get over losing exclusives every week.
Jace Martin
For speaking the truth? What exactly am I saying that warrants you getting all butthurt?
Jonathan Walker
Dude, I know you want to shitpost but at least be more realistic. DF already counted frames and confirmed docked mode is generally solid 60 fps. It does dip in a few areas, but if you legitimately think that makes the game unplayable, I don't know what to tell you other than Suda games might not be for you
Andrew Ortiz
Bloodborne Shadow of the colossus Vib ribbon Littlebig planet Folklore Sly
Bentley Morris
Reminder the marvel game will also be timed.
Reminder smtv is on ue4 for easy porting.
What other switch "exclusives" do you want on your superior platform?
Jordan Rogers
>worst version Jesus christ the other ones aren't even out yet, stop being hyperbolic
Daniel Hernandez
Dude have you fucking played the actual action areas of the hotel episode? You're delusional if you think the game runs even close to a solid 60fps on Switch. And when I say solid, I mean solid, not "generally" because yes that's the fucking point you splerg.
Landon Smith
>Then they never should've called it an exclusive This. Fuck SUDA and fuck Grasshopper >gets hardcore fans to buy and defend it >uses their word of mouth to shit in it with better versions for casuals
Dylan Long
They never said it was an exclusive though
Brody Robinson
You honestly believe that the PS4 or the fucking PC version aren't going to run butter smooth compared to Switch? There's being hyperbolic and there's being realistic. I know you don't want to hear the facts but sometimes you need to know when you've lost a fight.
John Smith
In Europe at least Marvellous. They tweeted about it and said to stay tuned for more info.
Joshua Cruz
>nit picky about "solid" 60 fps >calls other people spergs
Matthew Foster
>Reminder the marvel game will also be timed. That's published by Nintendo you dumbass snoy retard it's like saying Bloodbourne will go multiplat soon.
Anthony Turner
Kek. Even if they fuck up the PC version, the ps4 version will be garunteed better.
Jackson James
>That's published by Nintendo Just like TSA
Jason Lopez
Well the trannies just live for console war shitposting so you're not gonna get rid of that any way. If it's not for this they would have found another reason.
Jayden Nguyen
TSA wasn't though? The only time Nintendo comes up in the credits is a Special Thanks for putting in the Zelda T-Shirts for Travis
Jace Nelson
>more chips, more tees, more contents >no superior lol what?
Liam Scott
>Can't come up with a defense >Just re-iterates what was said Um, okay user, good argument. And I wasn't going to continue talking until you/the other guy was acting like I was the shithead for saying that TSA on Switch isn't a solid 60fps. Don't make bullshit comments like that unless you want the people who know what they're actually talking about to respond to you.
Jeremiah Jackson
Octopath was published by nintendo. Notice they are not bragging about exclusivity like travis because they legally can't knowing its timed.
Thomas Reyes
Cool, thanks.
Brayden Edwards
Why would you want to play it again to begin with? The whole point of the game is GhM fanservice, the gameplay is an aftertought.
Camden Miller
Fuck Suda, I'm glad I didnt spend my money in this shit.
Nathaniel Rogers
I'm honestly not going to buy anymore games on Switch unless they're 1st party games. I'm getting really tired of having to double dip because a better version comes out on other systems. The Switch tax is already high enough without getting fucked over like that.
Leo Green
Because the gameplay isn't horrible and I like the style. It's not amazing by any means and sure as hell not good enough to double dip, but I would've been happy to pick it up on PS4 or PC to begin with if I knew those were going to be options in the future.
Gabriel Evans
it's not. I like the visual style and humor, but the gameplay itself isn't very satisfying. Also the camera is WAY too far away. I love No More Heroes and I consider myself a hardcore fan, but this game is just ok. I was forcing myself to finish it by the end. Way too repetitive.
Lucas King
You deserve it for buying a switch. Switch should have flopped pushing Nintendo further into third party.
Switch itself is fine, I'm not willing to suck Nintendo's cock like so many other people but I enjoy the actual exclusives that it does have. I just know full well that multiplats are awful on it, and I tend to be really careful not to buy anything that has hope of releasing on other consoles. I fucked up with TSA, but I'm going to lock shit down now and at least wait a couple of years between releases if I have to so that this doesn't happen again. It's just a waste of money otherwise.
Luke White
I thought it was pretty fine and the customization through chips gave it an edge I didn't find in the other NMH games. It's my favourite out of the three, but my opinion is tainted by playing it co-op all the four-ish times I've gone through all the stages to see all the character interactions, since the game's very balanced on it.
Nathan Collins
>Travis Strikes Again comes out on Switch >Gets shitposted at release because it gets mixed reviews (Which is common for Suda's games) and people say it's not a real game for the Switch because it didn't sell a million copies with a 90+ metascore >Gets ported to PC/PS4 a few months later >People going HAHA THANKS FOR BETA TESTING NINTENDORKS ENJOY YOUR LOST EXCLUSIVE as if they had any intention to play the game in the first place
Yeah I can see it being more fun with a friend. I did it all solo since no one I know owns it or lives near me.
Benjamin Reyes
Maybe this means Ubisoft is distributing it in NA then?
Robert Morris
Probably.
At least we got some good threads out of the game after the 7 day patch. This shit is fucking annoying though.
James Hall
>I was the shithead for saying that TSA on Switch isn't a solid 60fps We all know it isn't exactly 60fps, but you were acting like it's unplayable and that's why you need it to be exactly 60 fps and that's why you need to buy it on PC which is spergish
Jacob Barnes
>Doesn't let Travis be playable in Smash >"fuck you sakurai and fuck nintendo say goodbye to exclusive game!!" you had one job nintendo
Jose Ross
Octopath was only published by Nintendo outside of Japan. Square Enix was free to do whatever they wanted with the game they produced themselves.
I never once said unplayable, and if you're going to read too much into what I said then that's on you. I said it wasn't a solid 60fps, which it absolutely is not, yet will be on PC and is very likely to be on PS4. That's what I was saying, and for those of us that actually care about the smoothest, cleanest experience possible it does matter. If it doesn't to you, that's great, this entire thread doesn't even fucking apply to you then.
Julian Smith
Its a boring co-op brawler with puddle deep depth, no fun to play at all alone. I'd rather play Double Dragon Neo or Castle Crashers than this.
Asher King
People said a ton of games would never be ported, but look where we are. There is no way marvel would allow an exclusive especially from Sony who they need to cater to due to their leverage.
