I'm playing 6 for the first time and am having alot of fun. I mean I have only played through the leon campaign but it's pretty fun. Kind of wonky control wise but the atmosphere is really good. Maybe a little too QTE heavy but it's almost like being in a horror film.

I like 7 the best honestly. When you consider the postgame/dlc content, it pulls all the best elements of the rest of the franchise.
Most people are going to say the RE2 remake is the best, but the ghost survivors mode isn't very fun. The scenarios also really don't vary enough from each other.

That's my one and only complaint about REmake 2. Not a single ounce of effort was put into ensuring any sort of continuity between the scenarios making four different scenarios canon and non-canon at the same time. Even the original got that right 21 years ago. I really don't know how they fucked that up.
