FLAC is a good, uncompressed format. Why wouldn't you prefer this?

Depends on your speakers, desu,. If you use turn table with integrated or some shit speakers, of course it's gonna sound like ass. Now, im not saying to go for $4,639.31 speakers, but something that's better than what you use on your PC

Because it's a waste of space for no benefit, even if you have a pair of HD800's with a 5K amp you won't be able to hear the nuances afforded by FLAC, the only reason why it's still around is because converting from one lossless format to another is suboptimal and you WILL hear the difference when something is compressed twice.
Call me when we have augmented ears and I'll use your FLAC collection.

Converting lossless to lossless will never impact the quality. FLAC has good pattern compression so you save on space compared to other lossless formats.

I do it to preserve my music and have those as "masters" for converting down to lossy formats if a device has not much storage/no lossless support.
