Zero seconds.

Longer than my joycons

for me? about 4 months. worst controller ive ever owned. the fuckers also cost 30 bucks. pieces of shit.

Idk but theyre shit and the average life span seems to be 2 years. 360 controllers are so much better, im still using the one that came with my 360 phat 12 years ago.

I'm so pissed. I vouched for this controller, and it is great, but the d-pad fucked out on me almost a year ago now. It's at least a 5 year old controller. I can't accept that.

Should I bother getting a new one or an elite or should I just stick with DS4?

Two years till the dpad started double-clicking. The three I had before the one that started failing were immediately returned due to different defects, like buttons that got stuck, or the joystick making a grinding noise.

I've had mine for more than a year and the only thing that's given up the ghost is the microUSB port on top, which doesn't really matter because I switched to bluetooth a while back.

for me its roughly a month before it shits itself

2 years and a half and still Rock solid without issues, am I lucky, Yea Forums is shit at taking care of hardware or is this controller really bad?

The batteries last about 3 hours

Had mine for a little more than a year and no fuckery yet.

After 3 months my B button would get sticky. After tearing the controller apart I found out that the B button is completely different than the others which makes absolutely no sense.
After 6 months, the left bumper stopped working.
On month 8 the controller stopped working completely. It's a shame because it's got the best sticks ever, but the over thing sucks major ass.

I've had mine for about 5 years and it still works more or less.

i have 24 year old snes controller that works just fine. the xbone controllers are cheap made garbage.

>Controller that came with the console lasted a year before the left stick started drifting up and down
>Bought a wired replacement that barely lasted a few weeks before the left stick decided not to register moving to the left
By contrast, my 360 controllers still work, although somewhat stiff.

My original Xbox one controller as of a week ago started double clicking on the d pad, all my other newer Xbox controllers work flawlessly I think you guys are just angry shitters who mistreat your shit

Yea Forums doesn't play games silly

smacked my elite controller on the rug after being tilted and it just died completely

what is the best most durable controler for pc? PS4 not an option since I hate the triggers and the dpad.

Mine has been fine for 2 years now

it's about to shit itself,son.

I've had one of these since the bone came out even though I don't own a bone.
It's rock solid.

I've had mine for over a year now and it's still working fine. This is the first xboner controller I've owned though, for PC gaming. I previously had a 360 controller that worked great until I replaced it.

I bought a PowerA Xbone knockoff and it was cheaper and lasted way longer. not saying you should do this, but its all ridiculous.

Mine? Not very long. It stopped connecting to my Bone within 1 year.

Good thing that piece of shit has no games and I can just use a different controller for PC, otherwise I might be more upset. Now we're getting MCC on PC. Good riddance, Xbone, go home.

Do MS consumers expect better quality products?

The switch joycons are expected to fail after one year, particularly the left one. Yet the average switch poster seems to accept this.

The X1 controller is cheaper and lasts longer yet anons ITT seem disgusted

I had a very nasty experience with Halo 5 that only made the controller breaking worse.

what the fuck i've had my controller for nearly 4 years and it's been fine

Tell me more

I got about 60 hrs of gameplay before buttons started sticking and it flimsy as hell out the box flexing ridiculously. PS4 controllers are far superior in quality.

I've had 3 seperate controllers and they all failed to make it through a year without a fuck up. First and second controllers had RB fucked, third controller had right stick drift. Fuck MS for this, I wasted at least $120 on those pieces of shit.
These days I use an old replacement controller of my brother's that had left stick drift, but it appears to have settled. Btw, my brother went through a couple of controllers too.

>Spend days downloading all 90+ gigs of data
>Game refused to work
>Sort that out after realizing i needed to hard reset the console
>At about the third mission (which must have been like 15 minutes into the campaign) Locke started slipping and sliding, made aiming trickier
>When the gameplay calmed down i tested the controller and realized Locke really was moving despite me not touching the left stick
>Then i opened the menu and started moving through the options like mad
>Just to be sure this wasn't some 343 bullshit i opened the Xbox menu and realized in horror that even the slightest tap made the controller move up or down like crazy
I still hold a grudge towards Halo 5 for that shit, even if the controller breaking was an unrelated event.

Have had mine for several years and only the D pad is iffy until I get it warmed up.

>pay £50 for official microsoft xbox one wired controller
>with a week it feels loose on the left side and i'm afraid it'll start to get worse if i grip it too hard or something
>is noticable when doing certain button presses or etc

I don't know if i described this correctly but hopefully some other anons understand.
You know how the controllers are two pieces of plastic, one top part and one bottom, and they sorta clip together? you can see the seam all around it etc, well it kinda feels like that when im holding it in my left palm, like it's loose or something, i don't think it is actually loose, but it definitely is "off".

Around a year. Summer came with a relatively high heat ~30C, and the fuse broke.

mine does a high pitch vibration noise... almost like a whistle. That can't be normal right?

Attached: 1519170360071.jpg (441x411, 15K)

nigga wat
no that shit aint normal

I use a bone controller which has been perfectly fine for going on 2 years now and an 8bitdo snes pad for classic type stuff and my switch

better get ready

My bone controller has lasted over 2 years and is fine. The d-pad sometimes drops input on diagonals though.

It's gonna blow up or some shit, get rid of it.

Attached: 1459204696218.png (276x353, 81K)

>dpad is defective on all models right out the factory

a few months each, i have 3 and each one besides the wired 3rd party one has a different shit problem with one

Uhhh...?
I've had mine for more than a year now, it still works perfectly.

Attached: Screenshot_2019-05-26_01-18-41.png (451x128, 19K)

Mine lasted a year

My first one is still working fine at the moment, had it since day one. I don't know how people fuck up their controllers so badly unless you're just incredibly disgusting and get food in it or spill drinks on it or shit.

literally everyone gives nintendo shit for how awful they handle the joycons lol

THOSE FUCKING ANALOG STICKS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Guess I should have said that it only happens when it vibrates.

That's just the vibration jigger thing starting to fail, it's fine but it'll die eventually.

>things can't stop working by being poorly designed or made of cheap materials
>my anecdotal experience proves it's just Dorito grease from grognards breaking the controllers

It's M$ designed hardware. Almost every piece of hardware they've ever designed has been horribly flawed in some way.

What’s wrong with the triggers and the d-pad?

I still use my wired xbox 360 controller from time to time (depending on the game) for PC Gaming. It's been almost 14 years since I bought it and still works like charm.

>Wireless 360 controller adapter gives out before controller
xbone controllers are like $100AUD though, fuck that. Do they all have BT?

Attached: 82758278.jpg (256x229, 22K)

I keep returning them and have literally never had one that doesn't develop a problem after less than a year of use
>RB doesn't register sometimes, send it back
>A button double presses, send it back
>left stick's deadzone is abnormally large, send it back
>current one just randomly disconnects at the worst possible times
I've never had these problems with the DS4 (which I fucking hate) or any other console controllers. What the fuck is up with this garbage? My first 360 controller lasted me 5 years while I was using it for hours on end every day and most of the weekends

1 year 4 months or so. Currently the right bumper has issues registering when I press down on the left half of it.

so how are those bumpers holding up, anons?

Attached: 1497054827312.jpg (1200x1600, 1.34M)

Have mine for about 2 years now.
The A-button noticeably is wearing out.
Other than that, it's still doing fine.

>RB fucked
>right stick drift
my first and only xbone has both of these by now

If you're lucky a little bit of soldering can fix the adapter. Had the issue to and after some googling I found out that you can fix it.

I got an xbox one controller in 2015 and the dpads already started to fuck up where the bottom and left directions lag or need hard pressing, all this in the beginning of 2016. Soon after I got a Playstation 4 controller and I haven't looked back since, it's still in working condition.

Depends, if it is an official Xbox controller then it's probably gonna last for a long time but there are always exceptions like that shitty ass 149$ ""Elite"" Controller. if it is one those that are like 30$ then yeah it's gonna be fine for like a month and then its gonna start having problems, I still prefer the XBone1 Controller over the Ps4 but I wish they weren't that fuckin expensive.

Attached: 1543977229364.jpg (640x480, 30K)

Oh shit, really?
I've already taken it apart and probed the cable to see if it was just that.
What did you solder?

>fucked up shit
If you're talking about my skills in video games then it would be day one B)

they don't click anymore

Mine worked fine for 2 1/2 years of heavy use. I'm usually just careful with electronics. My old 360 controllers lasted for 6 months on average each.

I get about 12 months out of my controller before I go to Walmart buy a new one then return the old one for no loss for me.

Thanks controller buying fags.

Basically I just put something on F1 like the guy in that video.

youtube.com/watch?v=21Dy-QTNqSE

And here's a pic of mine

Attached: IMG_20190526_105902.jpg (3968x2976, 1.44M)

I bought two at the same time. Both for some reason do very high pitch noise when I use them but I can only hear it when I put it directly over my ear.
Also, on one of them, right stick started drifting up for no reason, it doesn't seem to be a mechanical failure but I guess firmware one, since it just start doing that while I don't even touch it.
My Xbox 360 survived for way longer than that and thank god I still have a bunch of them laying around in case the second one goes to shit.

It depends on the usage. I got mine for 2 years now, it disconnects sometimes but other than that it's still solid.

No shit that thing barely has any components in it. And you probably got less use out of it.

Consoles these days are less reliable because they have more stuff in them

I've had one for five years that still works just fine. You throwing it in a tantrum or what?

Still have mine from launch period with no issues.

Nothing at all actually, I just love sucking cock and getting attention.

this

the stick on mine drifts like a motherfucker after only a few months
it's fine with steam games since i can add a deadzone but anything else it's unusable
(adding the game to steam manually doesn't seem to work for deadzone options, kinda weird)
