What are some things in vidya that give you anxiety but really shouldn't?

Not having access to a dev console makes me uncomfortable sometimes

Going underwater

running away from something

PvP, dropped out of competitive meme games years ago but my anxiety got so bad that when i went into the dark zone of the division 2 my hands were fucking shaking
black holes in space engine
staying everywhere but in your house in subnautica and in real life

running away from sometimes always makes me really scared the first time, of it catches me and I have to do it again all the immersion is gone

I dont like the idea of games having a time limit lets say majoras mask or pikmin havent played them but just the idea of a time limit gets me anxious. Megaman x games where I didnt like the game was keeping count of my attempts of the stages and the world was depending on me, im trying to play xcom but it does give me that anxious feeling I hate failure.

Messing up and dying in a battle. It's stupid, it's not even real and I can just start over again, but it still does because I could have avoided it.

Saying something that isn't stupid but saying it badly and realizing that people will misunderstand me. People I'll never meet again.

Any game where you're getting chased by something that instantly kills you if it catches you. I suppose this doesn't really count because it's meant to invoke anxiety, but I get particularly squeamish in levels like these

Having an amount of ammo that's not evenly distributed into magazines. I will often waste 17 bullets just to get back to a multiple of 32.

Basically any games that doesn't let you save from anywhere and at the same time boots you to the title screen if you die. It's horseshit.

online multiplayer
gotta have a long e-peen

Anxiety you say? More like Xcom on iron man mode

Finite, limited ammo with either a shitty emergency weapon or no emergency weapon at all. I remember always playing Resident Evil 2 on Easy when it came out because I needed the extra 150 handgun bullets to make it through the station otherwise I'd be down to my knife before I got to the sewers. I replayed it about a year ago and found out that there's a shitton of hidden ammo everywhere.

I played the RE2 remake and also ran out of ammo at the station which was nerve wracking because Mr. X was chasing me and I had literally nothing to defend myself with because the knives in that game also have low durability and are also finite. After I got past that section I never hurt for ammo again but I fail to see why Capcom hates having an always usuable weapon for emergencies. The knife was shit in the original but at least it had infinite uses.

starting any long game

Time limits with big consequences. Majora's mask and FXIII especially come to mind, it just makes me feel like I can't just do what I want but must optimally play so I don't burn away time.

>I really have to stop playing video games and do somthing with my life
>I have no idea what to do with my life, I guess I'll do this thing in this game for a bit

Not really anything. They're video games, why would I let them take control over my emotions like that?

saying something stupidly and pepole think you're sayng something stupid

shits WACK

Ranked matches in Fighting games

Multiplayer games, especially 1v1s like in fighting games and RTS

It doesn't work on Yea Forums because here I have time to rephrase it.
So your attempt won't work here, you just sound stupid yourself and that's it.

>open up fusion menu
>can't figure out how to fuse good demons
this is one of the main reasons I fall off these games. not having the highest level demons I can gives me anxiety because I feel like I'm going to walk into a new area and get stomped.

The thing I understood through the years is that anxiety is a meme. It's caused by lies created by yourself. Why are you ashamed when you say something dumb? Because you think people think you're dumb for saying that? Why? Because they look at you funny? But couldn't they just be amused or perplexed at what you said? Why would they think you're dumb? And even then do you care? You focus your attention so much on something you don't see the big picture.
You failed a test? You're not worthless, maybe you didn't study enough or maybe you were caught by surprise. How can you improve for next time?
You're scared of talking to someone? It's only scary before you do it. It's like when you were a kid and the anticipation of getting presents was better than actually getting the presents sometimes. Once it happens, it's not that impressive.

shit forgot the image
messing up my posts also gives me anxiety because I look like a fool.

Having a shit k/d in casual games, even when it's due to something out of my control like the other team making huge balls of force multipliers or deploying hordes of brazilians to clientside you to death.

I literally never play multiplayer by myself.

Being able to go out of bounds. I really don't like being reminded of the fragile nature of video game worlds.

Its totally fine, dont fret over it. Seriously, whenever you feel that way just know that even if people take you for a fool (in real life, not on anonymous board) a few minutes later they wont even think about it because they dont care. The next time you meet they wont even remember it, so why bother thinking about it?

If I've been trying to fight a boss or beat a level for quite some time and I get right to the very end and I'm one hit away from having to restart.
Also when I'm the only one in a voice channel with one other dude and he wants to talk and while its yeah like yeah hes cool and all you dont want to really engage him but it's too late and now hes asking when you'll accept him friend request. #chadprobz

Not playing a long game for a while and contemplating starting over because I almost completely forgot how to play

What a fucking stupid diagram

in mass effect andromeda the first time you go into a vault and activate it and have to run from a death cloud that made me anxious for some reason.

idk I just googled anxiety and tried to find an eye catching image.

Whenever I go AOB or find a unfinished area, like the ones back in MW2, I often was scared to fall through the ground suddenly.

What is this picture even trying to say. Anxiety isnt a behavior. There exist behaviors and feelings that are many commonly associated with anxiety but that only really shows that we use the word anxiety as a blanket term for any uncomfortable feelings we have regarding our fear of the future.

Playing builds or chars with many buttons.

Screeching or other ear piercing noises. For example these fuckers. Not too hard of an enemy but their sounds....jesus christ.

>Accomplishing side-objectives
>Prepping for lategame
>Ghosting in stealth games
The last two Deus Ex games broke me.

Having all those map makers in those AAA ubisoft-style open world games. Having to clear out each bandit camp and finding all the chests and hidden treasures makes me really antsy. I hate leaving them anything less than 100% clear.

any game that has multiple endings or stuff that you can miss out on.
always makes me anxious that I missed something and I end up backtracking more than actually progressing in the game.

Achievements, I hate achievements so much.

pvp
Dark souls was the worst for me.

Playing online games where skill or experience on shooters doesn't matter at all so i can't put those who disrespect me on their place.

Roleplaying in MMO's. Holy shit, I want to enjoy it but I feel terrified at all times that I am somehow doing shit wrong.
