I'm new to Dark Souls and am playing through it for the first time. Does the "second half" mean hunting down the Lord Souls after getting the Lordvessel? Because I thought a lot of these newer sections were a lot of fun, and doing the bell quest early on was a slog because I was lost, didn't know how to fight or what I was doing, and ran in circles in Darkroot Garden never finding out what I was supposed to be doing there until very recently.

I liked the Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith a lot, even if the stupid fucking undead dragon legs everywhere are an ass to fight against. Chaos Eaters are some weird-ass shit, and finding Solaire and Sigmeiyer at intervals in the Ruins and Izalith was fun to see.

I used to dislike DaS2 before, but thanks to all the DaS2fags vehemently defending it I fucking hate DaS2 now.

And this is really easy to reach too, because you just need the Old Witch's Ring from a starter gift or by trading the Sunlight Maggot, chuck 30 Humanity toward's the covenant's way, and you have a shortcut to the Bed of Chaos. The only area so far that I thought was a chore was the Royal Wood because the enemies there are all assholes and it's rife with pitfalls.

I don't care how much it doesn't scale with parameter bonuses, the Obsidian Greatsword is fucking cool as shit and I love its R1 golfswing combo and its R2 AOE middle finger

Yeah it's the best shield in the game, pretty much trivializes everything that's not a grab attack.

Fist weapons especially Bone Fists, Greatswords, not super effective but the ultimate CHAD fashion is Smelter sword+Blue smelter sword. Everyone should try a super high STR build at least once.
