The Foretellers didn't travel world lines on purpose technically. They sent themselves to some sort of limbo outside time and Luxu summoned them back in the world line we're currently in. The Dandelions hopped world lines and also time traveled to the future at the same time.

Dimensions and alternate realities have always been a thing.It's not a stretch that timelines exist, now I will argue that it's a stretch that the Foretellers survived and went to an alternate timeline/dimension/whatever since they're still technically on the same worldline, it only diverges due to Kairi in KH3, or at least prior to the Foretellers having diverged it that we find out, but dimensions and realms have always been a separate thing that just sort of exist.

Just finished kh3 and all the kh games back to back on their hardest difficulty and kh2fm managed to stay the best and most fun and fair challenging experience, not to mention it's superb, quick and snappy controls and fast combat (to be fair kh3 is the closest osaka cucks have come to kh2, so someday they wont be as retarded and pull it off).
My first playthrough of 3 on critical felt like it was intended for players that already beat proud and had the imported keyblades/ultima weapon. The amount of out-of-nowhere one shots I couldn't control doesnt compare to the deaths I had on 2 critical because it was my fault for not properly reacting to stuff.
I felt some disappointment when I got control of Sora and fought some mobs for the first time on 3, I cant imagine what someone who played kh2 and final mix when they came feels after getting their hands on 3.

Actually yes. Remember Not Clayton just ceased existing. Some get thrown into the Realm of Darkness, others go to the Underworld with Hades, etc. A lot of them seem to just become light and go back to Kingdom Hearts though.

I don't get the love Monstropolis gets. It was a huge chain of boring industrial corridors. John Goodman throwing Vanitas through a series of doors was pretty great though.
Caribbean had a bunch of fun islands to run around on with at least a suggestion of exploration. Really no world really stood out in 3, and that is the biggest problem.

Same, I dislike the aesthetic quite heavily myself, the keyblade is cool, the movie is cool, but we got too much of the factory, not enough Unversed creatures, and definitely not enough of the clean parts of the factory like the entrance.

Corona and the Caribbean were almost just as bad as Arendelle. It was all just shot for shot movie scenes with little to no context.

A friend of mine made me play birth by sleep, went straight to critical mode and was able to beat it still gave up and used second chance/once more on terra's final boss but some of the bosses felt pretty unfair, I died a fair amount of times because the boss felt like having super armor for no apparent reason. Was that just the game being a cunt or did I miss something? I swear to god sometimes I would hit a boss at a specific time and it would stagger, then do the exact same thing ten seconds later and get my shit pushed in because it completely ignored it despite clearly taking damage.

Kingdom Hearts missing an actual Hub-World like Traverse Town, Castle Oblivion, or Radiant Garden is one of the biggest flaws in this game. Hubs are a great way of grounding the characters and player to their universe, and giving them a refuge. 3 not having one made the game feel even more like a random tour of some disney shit before fighting some bad guys out in the desert.
Big Hero 6 was a fucking low-point in this series for me. Fucking empty trash world felt more like a open-world ps2 game than anything Kingdom Hearts.

I think the world was just too big honestly. There is so much you never see or really get to explore that it's just not fun. It's a neat world when you actually run around and are scaling buildings, but you never really get to do any of that except the ring minigame.

Besides Roxas, every single AI party member gets obliterated by the bosses if you don't help them, which is how it should have been from the beginning. It's cool watching a side character be useful in gameplay, but they kind of went overboard in easier difficulties by making the party so strong that they can solo the bosses for you.

So this is coming from a guy who's had no faith in the KH series since BBS, but I thought KH3 was solid. It's the best game since KH2 for me in terms of gameplay alone. The gameplay has flaws, both critical and nitpicky, but I had soild fun on my 1st, level 1 proud, and crit runs.

Story is fucking bad though. Like damn. Just don't have high hopes for the story if that's all you here for. The only good thing for me was how much love Sora, Donald, and Goofy get.

I just finished Lv. 1 Critical actually, Aqua still beat the ever living fuck out of Terranort on my end, it was pretty funny. The rest were definitely a lot different than Proud mode was for sure at launch, though I did like actually streaming combos with the characters when they were dead on the ground.

But Aqua was still some god beast that couldn't be touched on Critical for me, same with Roxas to a slight degree.

Kh1 had the best balance, characters didn't do as much damage as you but they did decent damage and couldn't stunlock enemies. Kh2 was the inverse of kh3 where, rather than being too op, members were useless on their own but were integral to drives and limits, making them damage fodder and item storages.

Well, Roxas is invincible so he can't ever be killed no matter what difficulty you play on. Honestly the game really should have had a second act and going through the entirety of each world (each with a unique boss) during the Lich part. Lich could have been Riku's boss, and everyone had an individual world and boss. Would have made for a far better time, especially if you got to 1v1 Org members there.

Fair on Roxas and thank god for that on Lv. 1 critical too. Aqua though, ended up getting Terranort (and at some point Vanitas into the wall) and just laid into them, Vanitas managed to get out due to killing Ventus and came after me, but Terranort...he just sat there, he basically got stunlocked by Aqua and his HP dropped like it was nothing.

Heartless can have different behaviors depending on the heartless, like shadows are pretty slow and much more docile when alone, while heartless like Dark Hide from BBS can be super aggressive. They can also be commanded so that also affects their behaviour. And whether or not a world is closer or further to the realm of darkness. The closer the world is the more berserk and uncontrollable they become.

Knowing Nomura it means something considering how much they focus on it and MoM clearly being in that world too in the secret ending.

Where is this stated in game? Just because you found her an easier boss fight than in 0.2 doesn't mean anything when it comes to the canonical strength of a character. Honestly I loved the game when it came out, I felt like a dumb kid again just enjoying every single moment of it. In hindsight, yeah it has a lot of problems with it, especially on replays, but it's not a bad game really. Felt like the same old KH, a crazy wild adventure where things are explained half-assed, new things are introduced for a sequel that aren't explained at all, disney worlds, and other flashy and fun combat that is a mess.

Honestly, I still love the game, it has plenty of flaws for sure, but good game.

If KH had a history with rampant mobile games I'd be somewhat worried, but Union X has been the only one for years (I don't count Coded because it was turned into a real game anyway). Nomura, SE or someone is content with sectioning of the gacha shit for one game and I can live with that.

Yeah I know, but when I said bad I meant that it was really fucking bad even for KH standards. Like it breaks the fundamentals of writing a basic story. There are multiple plot points established in prior games and restated at the beginning of KH3, yet almost all of them are resolved at the very end of the game. There's no break point in the middle of the game to give you, the player, incentive to keep playing or just a fucking pause/intermission. KH1 had multiple returns to traverse town to regroup and restrategize after learning to info. KH 2 had the huge throwdown in Hollow Bastion after Tron. Even BBS had the trio regroup once again to (miserably) reassess the situation.

KH3 has some of the worst pacing I've seen in a story-driven game, as well as the most amatureish writing. Every fucking cutscene in the ship or the tower is "power of waking" or "I'll do it", and then someone saying "no" in some fashion.

I've stopped respecting KH as a story after 2 since IMO it had a nice resolution for those three games at the time. And yeah, even those 3 games have really hammy writing, but it was still fun watching Sora and Co. go around and do what they think was best whether it was correct or not. They simply followed their heart.

Sorry for the wall of text, but fuck I hate when high budget games just reek of mediocrity. Even if it is just "kingdom hearts".

They're basically older Magiknight expies of Sora, Riku, and Kairi. A sort of prequel generation of them all training under Magiknight Jedi-Samurai Square-Enix who knew the Fantasia wizard Disney (as in bushy brow stern man whose hat Mickey Mouse 'borrowed' and fucked up big time with the enchanted brooms).
It helped that they were not actually Sora, Riku, and Kairi and they were also not Orgnaization XIII.
...but yes they were all fucking idiots and the way they fucked things up (with Master Xehanort, who looked like an old evil elf strutting around in A:SoD's outfit, playing them for fools) directly led to the creation of the man we knew as Xemnas who in turn was responsible a lot of shit involving Heartless and half of his split soul (Ansem: Seeker of Darkness) directly told Riku about the Door and sparked Destiny Island's Armageddon.
We also found out where RIku's completely stupid Dark Outfit came from. It was worn by Prequel Sora's evil psychotic half, with an added face/plot-twist concealing helmet.
