>$45 million dollars

what is the video game equivalent of this?

Anthem

Probably those gigantic purchases made in EVE Online.

Paintings like these are tax loopholes. They're not actually worth that amount.

Art like this is not used to be appreciated as artwork. It's a way to move money. Look at it like a 45 million dollar bill that doesn't depreciate because the value of it is recorded and will never sell for less than what it has before as long as the global economy exists.

I honestly fucking hate richfags so much. People who spend this kind of money on this absolute fucking pretentious shit are usually trustfunders with no grasp on monetary value, born rich and will never work for ANYTHING. All of the suffering in the world and these fucks blow it on shit like this.

There comes are point where the "hurrr durrr it's there money they can spend it on what they want" argument doesn't hold up.

People who buy these things aren't burning their money. They're investing. They're making money. This is how they make so much money.

Star Citizen

the same in green and purple

This, they're also used for money laundering. Nobody actually gives a shit about this stuff, it's mostly used to slip things past the taxman.

You realize art is just a front for money laundering 90% of the time, right?

Why would someone pay $45 million for an upside down Ukrainian flag?

are you sure?

You'll probably hate them even more when you figure out what they're really doing. lel

You know when people pay 45 millions for that junk (aside from is being money laundering) that money does not disappears, you know that right?
Just another person has all that money, and you could make your same "moral" argument against them right now.
Also, before the buyer having all that money (and assuming he is an honest businessman) that money was dispersed along thousand of people who bought something from this person, and now you can make the same phony moral argument against all of them"Why, instead of all of you buying this guys stuff and making him rich, didn't you helped the suffering people of the world.
You are probably one of these people that buy from big companies and enrich motherfucker who buy junk art, why don't you instead give that cash to a poor homeless.

Get fucked.

Money laundering involves cash. You can't buy this shit with cash.

i have one of these in my bedrum

pro tip

it's for money laundering

I scammed many mils in Runescape. Yeah it reminds me sorta of that.

So if you're billionaire you can just list your own paintings at some artist name at some auction. Then buy it with few millions and it's confirmed to never lose value?

Is this money laundering?

It isn't rich people buying the paintings. It is the government giving a 45 million dollar tax exemption for a guy who paid some Jew buddies to hype him up as an artist.

If a rich guy does buy one of those its because he owes the artist 45 million dollars for killing people or selling him drugs, so he buys a shit painting so the artist can explain to the IRS how he is able to afford a mansion and 10 cars.

Please rephrase your question to make some fucking sense.

I don’t get it.

If you buy land it obviously had value and people will pay within the range that you paid for it. A canvas with two strokes of paint has no practical value so why would people want it even if you spent 45 million dollars on it?

Because of (((valuations)))

>Most expensive photograph is photoshopped

I have no respect for anyone in the art community. They're all hacks at the end.

Because it has a history of selling for that much because someone bought it for that much, meaning you can also sell it for at least that much because someone else will buy it for at least that much. It's how currency works. Things have value because they're agreed to have value. This is useful for people who need to buy (stockpile real money) or sell (receive real money).

Dont be stupid, its an abstract Minion.

it depends on the artist's wacky background and how many gay activities they've performed

a masterpiece doc

What's there's to explain? You're saying that anything that gets to some blog. it'll never lose it's value. It's easy money.

All Sony movie games

Why are you too stupid to understand abstracted art, especially when it is as simple as Mark Rothko?
The idea is to incite feelings in the viewer using a large amount of color. As you can see in the photo, the painting is very big.

Of course, the overvaluation of art is a problem, but to claim that there is no artistic merit in one of the most highly regarded modern painters is just ignorant.
I understand that it is easy to joke about how this is devoid of artistry, but Rothko was pretty okay as a painter, to be honest.

I'll pay 45 million to have this dose in my personal gallery, Doctor.

You're not speaking proper English, bro. You need to construct your fucking sentences correctly. If you don't take your posts seriously neither will I. I don't understand the shit you're trying to say. I shouldn't have to try and interpret your broken sentence fragments. Do better or shut the fuck up.

>all these people saying it's money laundering

Holy shit you dense motherfuckers. You launder money because it's connected to shady activity you don't want people to find out about. Considering that it got reported to every media source in planet earth it would be somewhat ineffective. The idea that the entire FBI and IRS didn't pick up a newspaper that day or like, ever? Or that its that easy and everyone else laundering money just does it their own way for no reason? It's taxes or dick waving
