Card Based Combat Games

Lately, I have been seeking games like KH Chain of Memories, Blood Card, Cards of Cthulu, Hand of Fate and such. They are pretty entertainment but it seems that there are very few actually fun ones.

Pic related. This game is pretty fun but it seems extremely random and luck based in the later Ascension runs in the NG+.

couldn't to be bothered to try that game simply because the arts just so fucking ugly desu.

I concur. It looks like fucking AdventureQuest from the early 90s but the gameplay is pretty tight. The previous one I played was also pretty rough looking.

just watch ufc while playing microsoft solitaire

I liked Hand of Fate. How about trying Heart of Crown, a deck-building game? No idea how active the online is on the Steam version of it
AdventureQuest looked better than this

Try The Witcher Tales: Thronebreaker

I'll play it if it has an offiline campaign.

STS is ugly as sin I agree, but the game design, mechanics and balance are a step above anything else in the genre. Trust me lads, try to ignore the need for eye candy and focus on whats the most important, which is ALWAYS gameplay first.

I already beat the corrupted heart with all 3 classes and made it past a couple Ascension levels. It got really repetitive though the daily climb can be fun. I wish it had more characters or game modes with larger dungeons to justify playing it more.

Do you know of any other games like it?

>ALWAYS gameplay first.
meme. Art design, the actual visual 'video' component is equally important as the 'game' part.

I don't know sorry mate, but you should try some of the custom made characters from the workshop. Personally I can recommend the slimebound and the cultist

you should stick to iPad mobile games

I wish ironic shitposters would kill themselves like they've promised they would for years. Fucking lazy assholes.

I liked Slay the Spire but I feel it is far too overtuned.

>a couple ascension levels
>shitter who ragequit because he got dumpstered non-stop

Baten Kaitos nigga

>t. assblasted indiedevs with no budget to hire an art director

Sorry for having actual standards in the aesthetical value of what I consume.

>too overtuned
How so?

Enjoy playing Destiny 2 :)

I just don't see the point. The concensus on the forums seems to be that past a certain point, it becomes a luck of the draw kind of thing to spend our time due to lack of content. I'd rather wait for new content or play a different game entirely at that point.

If that's your aesthetical preference then more power to you. Strawman harder

Already beat this and Duelist of the Roses for the gamecube...but you've just reminded that there's a sequel so that would be worth looking into.

It's too fucking difficult and largely reliant on luck-based relic combinations to achieve progression.

I like heart of crown, I just wish I had friends to play with
it does not, it has a "campaign" which consists of getting random lore tidbits and no gameplay whatsoever
It does have bots to play offline with but that gets old pretty quick

Oh, yeah. And the rock paper scissor bosses hard counter certain decks so you're near autofucked even if you get a good one going.

Backpedalling already. What a trash ironic shitposter. Like I said previously, just kill yourself already. You've wanted to for a long time just fucking man up and do it.

So lonely and angry. Maybe if you wasn't admiring mediocrity you'd have lead a different life.

Hearthstone solo adventures are fun

I feel you. Then I got over that hurdle and played it. A lot of it.
