When they are expecting me to pay 15 dollars for a pixelated jumbled mess hell yeah I am going to pirate.
>Indian pirate games
>not pirating indie games
>playing indieshit
AND SO...WE SHALL GO TO WAR
>giving money to pretentious hipsters
Why not, it's certainly not worth the money.
>When the pirate is bugged
they are funded
fuck them
>independently pirating games.
>Not mailing sums of money to random people in the credits of a game you pirated to bypass publisher thieves
secret Gaki thread?
based, though it doesn't need to be random. You risk giving it to some marketing kike or "assistant".
Wow, this is old.
>indieing pie games
>Indie game costs more than 9.99
They deserve it.
>when you suspect a game is going to be shit so you pirate it first and find out you're correct
nigger notch made a killing with his "indie game." i don't feel the slightest guilty for pirating minecraft to play Ace of Spades death match
>matsumoto=indie devs
>everyone else=pirates
>always trying to sneak fag and tranny iconography into the game somewhere
Why wouldn't you pirate indie games?
Matsumoto must ignore their existence.
As always.
Matsumoto = Crackers
Hamada = games
>pirating Nintendo games
Based gaki posters give me faith in this shitty board.
What Gaki is worth watching outside of the batsu games?
Shichi Henge, Absolutely Tasty, Kiki Series, the old team fights.
I found random episode are fun as well. Lego battle and robot battle, there are episodes where they play SNES games as well.
>it's been 3+ years since the last absolutely tasty
at least they brought back kiki
>almost 6 months since games release
>game still being translated
Ducktoaster's stream might be gone, but two others are streaming Gaki 24/7 now.

It's not the same.
I hope they bring this back when it does come back on.
if its anything like last year teamgaki will be done by the end of june

shieet nigga you aint gonna make it
>Almost a year since Documental 2 came out

Silent Library.
It is really sad watching all of them age.
They age rather gracefully though.
really only Matsumoto
Thanks frens
>Its a lazy rehashed batsu game for the 11th year in a row
Has anything come close to topping Hotsprings/hospital/police station
Documental is kinda Gaki with Matsumoto and Jimmy Onishi being involved.
Highschool Students is great too.
>playing indie games
yikes!
Just because they're "indie" doesn't mean they deserve to be paid for.
reminded that we'll never get solo-batsu kino like haunted hotel ever again
Love Documental. The showdown in the last episode of season between Saito and Kotoge was nuts. Freeze is another good one from Matsumoto.
Suga has been forced to retire apparently.
Yeah the first five essentially
Hamajinga Z going on a rampage was fucking golden
Yeah I heard Heipo is running the show now god help us all.
>pic
indie games rarely do this though
If I play it more than twice I buy it. I almost never play a game more than twice anymore
To follow up, I just played WarHroove for the first time last night. I’m a huge Langrisser fan so I dig it and I like how the economics play into the game but I Probably won’t play it again.
>the company that translated both first seasons literally disappeared from one day to another, practically killing any hope for future translations
I've been so desperate to watch more Documental I unironically watched the spic version, it was the worst thing I've had the displeasure to watch, cannot understand how the fuck they even got the license to produce it in the first place.
You're in luck. Documental 3 subbed is coming next month news.avclub.com
Oh shit nice
this gif always makes me laugh.
>$42 for like 20 some songs
You are fucking right I am pirating it
You wouldn’t pirate a butthole would you?
Any links to documental 2? I've only found the first one.
I only pirate indies. All my AA/AAA games I pay for. Indie devs are worse than jews desu senpai
>Paying for bootleg "pixelart" versions of better franchises
Sweet, thanks!
Retard.
what?
Why dont you post onions while youre at? Snitches get stitches, retard-san.
You're very welcome, user, Enjoy.
>been forced to retire
How come? I didn't know it was forced, what happened?
what?
fuck you
So the nest batsu is Gaasu Korobikkari Retirement Home?
DONT FUCKING POST LINKS, jesus.
I think you got the wrong door. The leatherclub is two blocks down.
Oh boy, can't wait to see nya get nuked again.
My bad.
lol dude
how is everyone enjoying this years batsu anyway?
better than last year imo
they really did tanaka dirty with the card game
>lol
Said the faggot who doesn't know how many dojins were deleted from panda and all the times nyaa was kill.
>Pirating Documental
>Bitching about people pirating Documental
Kick-san going in with glasses and earphone was amusing
>Giving money to talentless idea stealing hacks
Maybe if they put some effort into furthering the field and their craft they'd deserve some money. Making another pixelshit 2D metroidvania platformer with some NES-age mechanic as the gimmick is not worthy of money. Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight, Owl Boy and all of them can die in a fucking hole for all I care. I hope the """""""studios""""""" go bust.
GOD-DAMN
I heard it from his confession on radio show, let me search it on youtube, i hope it still exist.
>not pirating games because there's no proper demo
I haven't seen any of it because I wait for all parts and then watch the whole thing in 1 sitting
feels like it is taking longer then usual
They're actually ahead this year even if they're slow getting them out. Looks like they might have them all out by July instead of August.
>pirate games
>pirate movies
>pirate money (aka welfare)
Imagine being a wagecuck or buyfag
They want the donations, that's why it's always taking so long.
Okay, here's what i got.
>NTV want Suga to be promoted from producer
>Suga don't want that because being a variety show producer is his passion, he even mentioned that he want to die along with the comedians
>This create a conflict that even force Matsumoto to say "he wasn't fired, Suga was graduated"
Now he has become freelance producer.
>youtube.com
>newsmatomedia.com
>twitter.com
I must watch these now.
They're not. Last year's part 6 was released May 10th, this year's part 6 was done on May 16th. Whole batsu was subbed on July 20th, the August release was hardsubs with some fixed typos and shit. They're getting slower and slower with each year.
>Boast one year how they've got more people volunteering than ever before
>Take even longer than previous years
>Next year they say their team's smaller but more tight-knit
>Take even longer than previous year
>People start shitting on them so they close the chatroom on their site where anyone could post anonymously
>Also removes team member names on who is doing which part
>Open up discord where you can't speak out against them
>One of them visited the /t/ Gaki thread and said that the group is a fucking mess with no coordination
>People go missing for weeks with no notice and no one volunteers to take over their part
>Some random guy says he's willing to translate the Batsu with his friend but would want more people to help him out so he asks for help
>Majority of people tell him to fuck off because we have Team Gaki so we don't need competition
I'd understand if it was one or two guys translating the whole thing but for fucks sake, they have a team of people. One person has 20-30mins at most and if looking at previous years most people only had to translate 1 part (10 mins) and some of them took months to do it. The worst part is how you can't even mention this shit anywhere because "ughhh...how dare you complain about free stuff...ughh..."
this makes me mad
there was also someone on the gaki subreddit that offered to help, and was shot down immediately
TG is an embarrassment. I remember how one year a single guy translated most of the batsu in one month, I think it was EDF, it released in February. FunnyJapan guy who translated some Gaki and other Jap shows said a 20min episode takes him around 2 days to typeset and translate. Korean shows which are 1-1.5h long get subs within a week and I'm not even talking about professional subs but fansubbing teams. They have no excuses, it's just laziness and lack of cooperation.
Christ. This is why I just watch each year's Batsu live while someone in the chat just does their own rough and quick and okay enough translation of it all.
I pirate them first to see if they have screen options like scanlines so that their horrible low rest meme graphics don't look like utter shit on my modern display. And most of them don't work on my actual CRT either because they never have resolution options.
*low res
Most indie games aren't even worth pirating.
I don't really pirate stuff any more since its a hassle and I have a job/am lazy but I did "try before buy" Undertale, Terraria, and Stardew
Now I have all 3, they are great games
Weren't there people offering to pay for subbed gaki episodes? The only one who seems to have opened up a patreon page is shion but he's only getting $21 a month. Why is gaki so unpopular? Idolshit and korean variety shows constantly get subs. It's not fair, bros.
based.
>21 a month
jesus
Somebody wipe my memory of all gaki episodes that I've watched so I can start over please...
Underrated.
If its such a mess then why play it
gaki seems to be hit or miss with most people
which is what i dont really understand, sure its quirky nip humor, but nothing too off the wall that an average westerner couldnt get into
sad thing is that gaki + cocorico are old as dirt now. doubt there will be any real push to gain a larger audience before the inevitable end.
Indie games aren't even worth pirating. Still haven't played a good one to this day.
Haven't seen one of these threads in a long ass time
Most indies are free from all of that.
westerners were furious about Hamada's Eddie Murphy cosplay because of muh blackface
There are a lot of great Japanese shows but it seems no one is interested in them unless it's idol stuff which is weird considering how popular Japanese culture is now. I used to watch some live Japanese TV from time to time and sure there's a lot of boring shit and the regular stuff you'd see on your local TV but there's also some interesting shows, especially the variety and travelling ones.
Gaki used to be extremely popular on Yea Forums.
GCCX too.
I feel like that was overblown. It all started on twitter as usual and I only remember BBC picking up on it, unless I missed all the other news articles. Funniest thing was how a lot of them claimed to be big fans of Gaki. If that were the case where were they when Matsuko did the same thing? Where were they when another comedian, whose name I forget, did the exact same shit as Hamada and Matsuko. Where were they when they made fun of crossdressers from time to time. There's so much shit they did over the years and no one cared, but because now "IT'S THE CURRENT YEAR" everyone loses their shit.
I miss old Iron Chef
Here's Matsuko doing the same thing as Hamada. Also can't forget how Yamazaki always cracks up when he sees a black guy during the early batsus. If he did the same now those "big fans" would lose their shit again.
>try to find fansubs for just about any japanese/korean variety show
>98% of the time all I find are raws or certain segments that are subbed but never a full episode, just segments the fansubbers deemed funny enough to sub
reeeeee I want to watch boring variety shows all day and the internet won't let me
A lot of Korean shows get subbed. Most of them even have professional subs. It's only the cable stuff that has 50/50 chance of getting subs, but if it's popular shows like The Genius, Great Escape, NJTTW then they'll get fansubbed
This. Even though the black guy in the same interview just came off like it was concern criticism, I find it definitely suspect his criticisms of Hamada's blackface without even mentioning when Matsuko did it. Guess in his and any of the other critics minds when Matsuko did it they might've thought him a lesser or obscure comedian, or they maybe not even saw the EDF episode at all and have no goddamn clue what they're talking about.
>having money
I once typeset a 50 minutes episode because I wanted to, I was a real lazy cunt about it, but it took me 4-5 days to typeset, only because I subbed 10 mins per day because I'm lazy, that took me about an hour because I had no clue what the fuck was I doing with aegisub. I only did colored subs and placing them at different places when needed.
The only reason they are taking so long is because they want their wacky effects on subs because it looks so cool yo.
If you have a translation script, and know what you're doing, and don't waste your time doing effects and limit yourself to colored subs and different placements, you could easily sub the whole batsu in week alone.
If you want any proof take a look at early wednesday downtown project, ~50 mins episodes coming out almost everyday (IIRC) because the subs were regular white ones with no useless effects. until it slowed down to a crawl because nobody likes doing voluntary work and the same reasons you listed.
>or they maybe not even saw the EDF episode at all
exactly this
they see nippon man in "blackface", so they create outrage
the funniest part to me is that it isnt even blackface
buy games you've pirated, pirate games you've bought, do whatever is most convenient
>$15 for an indie game
Let's be honest, my dude. Nobody pays $15 for the $15 indie game. You get that shit in a $1 bundle two years after release, or at best pay $5 during a Steam sale.
And unless they say otherwise, most likely either watched the batsu raw or while waiting for subs saw it pop up on the Gaki reddit and that blew their silly little minds and complaining about something they didn't even legally watch. Also that gif from the 20 year old letter Tanaka wrote to Endo before coming to Tokyo and sucking salamander dick?
Stop buying games. Only retards buy games when you could just pirate them instead. There's literally no reason to pay for video games, and anyone who buys a video game for any reason is an idiot.
>but it's like stealing!!
Wrong. A pirate was never going to buy the game anyway, so there's no lost sale. That's why I'm determined to convince people who are about to buy games to cancel their orders and pirate those games instead. There's nothing wrong with it because piracy can't possibly decrease sales at all.
>but developers deserve money for their work!!
This would be true, except for one thing: Most developers put DRM in their games. I refuse to support that. Why would you pay for DRM? It even makes legal copies more difficult to play. I hate DRM even more as a pirate, because some games aren't cracked immediately. Fortunately, some sites like GOG release DRM-free games which are easy to pirate, so I can just pirate those right away and play them without even cracking them.
>but you should support good developers so they make more good games!!
Pirates have a more positive effect on the industry than paying customers do. We pirate games to try them, and then buy them later if they're good. This helps us avoid buying bad games, thereby decreasing sales of those games, which punishes the bad developers. We also advertise games through word of mouth, and tell our friends to buy them.
But go ahead, tell me again about how piracy is wrong.
that letter was hilarious
almost as funny as the letter Tanaka's son wrote to Tanaka
>We pirate games to try them, and then buy them later if they're good.
LMAO my dude. Nobody buys a game after pirating it.
I have nothing against pirating but don't fucking come here and lie to try and make yourself look better.
>b-but I bought a game after pirating once
get the fuck out of here with this shit, this is just one example, for every game you buy after pirating, 10 people don't, it doesn't matter.
>Nobody pays $15 for the $15 indie game
starving CVfags are paying twice of that for Bloodstained
sure is
Donations are the reason it always takes so long. TG could probably translate the whole thing within a month.
Oh no, user, what about their "real life commitments" and "exams" they have to study for?
>Piracy can't decrease sales because the pirate wasn't going to buy the game in the first place
>That's why I'm determined to decrease sales by convincing people not to buy the game when they can pirate it
>Piracy cannot possibly decrease sales
What kind of class A retard do you have to be to contradict yourself twice within the span of 3 sentences? Please go back to the alzheimers asylum
>over 1,500 episodes
>only a fraction will ever be translated
>nip requires a stupid amount of time and dedication to learn if you don't live there
>decent machine translation, especially from moon, is decades away still
Why's it gotta be so hard to watch funny asian men do stupid stuff?
based, spent hours looking for this.
>translators using the word fuck when japanese language doesn't have curse words
why
where can i watch doctumental s3+?
>Three seconds in
>Can already hear the rage of Hosei's voice in my head.
Umm, sweetie, it's a localization not a translation. How else will we understand their frustration if they don't say fuck? I seriously hope you aren't one of those incel weeblords who want an actual translation and not a localization.
There's unsubbed torrents of it around, but subbed version of 3 drops next month on amazon.
Does anybody have an idea of the ETA on the fully translated Treasure Hunter batsu? They've usually had them finished around May/June in the past and I'm dying to watch it.
Mid-July to August.
technically only parts 8,9,10 need done 7 is probably in a final check phase since it says all 3 parts of 7 are done.
So probably July
Read the thread if you want to find out about teamgaki more. They're taking longer and longer every year. I'm guessing July-August as well. Next year might be in September.
They've been creating the illuson of being ahead one part per month, but they're fooling no one anymore. You ever get a chance just watch the next Batsu live bc someone's always hosting a stream where they sub it in chat in real time.
It's been months since I pirated something.
I just wait for Steam Sales.
Could be worse.
>only 8 and a bit episodes subbed in 2018
>literally nothing in 2019 so far
Sad! I might just cave and watch the parts that are done. I do like some of the later parts though, especially the scare segment even though its all formulated. Its still fun for me.
I was actually debating on watching it live this year but decided not to in the end.
matsumoto is funny
Same. I just stayed up all night to watch it, but around hour three or four felt myself passing out but then jolted again suddenly when Chono's segment came up and the when it was over went to bed happy. Didn't wanna miss a thing or get spoiled after missing Hamada dressing like Eddie Murphy last year.
That was hilarious to me last year. I try not to spoil it for myself either but I couldn't help but laugh one day when I was reading the news online and saw Hamadas big black face smiling next to a picture of Eddie Murphy. Was probably the funniest way to get spoiled.
I'd pay cunts to sub Tokyo Encounter again.
>shion
Dude really needs to use higher quality raws, or stop hardsubbing.
Anyone /monsterhouse/ here who thinks Kuro-chan did nothing wrong?
>successful Gaki thread
Is this 2013 again?
If only. This past New Years no one gave a shit and saged all the threads before just going to /j/.
Downloaded all the fansubs out but gonna wait until they're finished to watch them. Glad to see /my guy/ is there though
Suidown is the new hotness.
It's so addicting. After each one came out couldn't wait to watch another and then they took a month after the first four parts to finish the remaining three. Part 7 any day now.
i pirated celeste and beat it in a few hours then deleted it
very worth it considering the devs are tranny misandrists
LOL that's one way to raise Downtown's ratings.
these are the only celebrities Ill miss when theyre gone
>Pirating Free games
>watching random gaki stuff that isn't a batsu game
>500 questions about Hamada or something like that
>Matsumoto wins the quiz about Hamada
>goes to the room Hamada is in to claim his prize, hanging out with Hamada
>barely talks, declines his offer for a drink
>both stay quiet
Bros do Hamada and Matsumoto actually hate each other or something?
are you brazillian or russian
Like any elderely couple there's not a lot to talk about and some skeletons in the closet.
They are not. They decided to make their relationship professional and the result is awkwardness because they have nothing to talk.
Apparently they seems closer lately.
It's complicated. It's like Penn & Teller used to be for many years where they never fraternized outside of work. They have the utmost respect for the each from the looks of it and keep going bc why mess up a good thing. Doesn't mean they don't have their differences bc that doc about Matsumoto a few years ago he said one day he'll hate Hamada's guts and the next day after filming something he'll reconsider and remember why they work together in the first place. youtube.com
youtube.com
Especially telling when Matsumoto had trouble bringing himself to read his letter on Hamada's 50th birthday. They've spent half their lives together, you don't get to the top without a few tiffs here and there.
what is wrong with her ear?
;__;
Now that good old games pirate site is dead, what do you guys use?
I felt bad about pirating Hollow Knight since it was so good so I just went out and bought it.
Problem?
Shin Onii was amazing. Too bad he doesn't show up anymore.
sadly this is very common
two best friends start a business venture and it turns into just that, business
funnily enough hosei and matsumoto are apparently very good friends
Nah, only western ones.
I've heard that too, that they're good friends and drinking buddies. Always feeling like when Hosei does his gravelly rage voice he's taking after how Matsumoto usually acts during his turn at Kiki.
Endo is pretty underrated. His impressions of famous japs are amazing.
Besides not having each others cell numbers, this sounds like Matsumoto is the one trying his hardest to not be friendly with Hamada.
/our gorilla/ doesn't deserve this bullying
At this point political shit is the least of my concerns with how the corporate cockroaches fuck everything up nowadays
>paying for games
It's bait idiots
